Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of disciplinary culture in shaping bi’ah lughawiyyah at Al Azhar Pare Arabic Language Course Institution. The study employed a qualitative case study design to explore the implementation of disciplinary culture within the institutional learning environment. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving institutional managers, teachers, and students. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques, supported by source and method triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings reveal that the formation of bi’ah lughawiyyah is systematically supported through the integration of structured daily activities, habituation-based Arabic learning practices, and the implementation of disciplinary culture management through the ‘iqob system. The institution organizes intensive language exposure through scheduled academic and dormitory activities that actively encourage students to use Arabic in daily interactions. In addition, disciplinary regulations function not only as behavioral control mechanisms but also as institutional strategies for maintaining consistency in language practices within both classroom and dormitory environments. The integration of organizational discipline, learning habituation, and environmental management gradually fosters a sustainable Arabic-language environment that strengthens students' communicative competence and language habits. Theoretically, this study contributes to the discourse on educational management by positioning disciplinary culture as an integral component of language-environment management in Islamic educational institutions. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of integrated learning management, organizational culture, and institutional regulation in sustaining effective language-based learning environments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kompetensi manajerial kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di MTs NU Ngantang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala madrasah dan guru yang dipilih secara purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perencanaan kompetensi manajerial dilakukan secara sistematis dan partisipatif dengan melibatkan guru dalam penyusunan program kerja berbasis kebutuhan; (2) implementasi kompetensi manajerial diwujudkan melalui supervisi akademik, pembinaan, serta pengembangan kompetensi guru yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan; dan (3) pendekatan kepemimpinan yang diterapkan bersifat partisipatif, komunikatif, dan motivasional, sehingga mampu menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif dan mendorong peningkatan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam penguatan praktik manajemen pendidikan Islam berbasis kepemimpinan partisipatif dan pengembangan profesional guru secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Quality assurance is a fundamental element in the governance of Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKI) in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the policies and regulations related to quality assurance and to identify the challenges of its implementation within PTKI. This research adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to explore relevant legal frameworks, academic findings, and practical insights. The quality assurance system is grounded in the national legal framework, including Law No. 12 of 2012 on Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53 of 2023 on Quality Assurance in Higher Education, as well as sectoral policies such as Ministry of Religious Affairs Regulation No. 4 of 2020, which supports the Islamic-based tridharma of higher education. Quality assurance is carried out through two main systems: Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), implemented independently by institutions, and External Quality Assurance System (SPME), conducted through accreditation by BAN-PT or independent accreditation bodies (LAM). Despite the existence of a comprehensive regulatory framework, PTKIs still face several challenges in practice, such as a weak culture of quality, limited human resources, technological gaps, and unequal policy support across regions. This study recommends strengthening digital-based quality governance, continuous training for academic communities, and internalizing a quality-oriented institutional culture. Accordingly, PTKIs are expected to develop a sustainable and globally competitive quality system while upholding the values of moderate Islam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan dan pelaksanaan implementasi manajemen resiko dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran di SMP Negeri 50 Bandung. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses perencanaan manajemen resiko telah disusun dengan cukup sistematis melalui identifikasi resiko, penetapan prioritas, serta penyusunan strategi mitigasi. Pelaksanaan manajemen resiko dilakukan melalui pelimpahan tugas kepada penanggung jawab bidang, pemantauan berkala, dan koordinasi lintas lembaga dengan Dinas Pendidikan, Inspektorat, dan BPK untuk memastikan transparansi serta akuntabilitas. Meskipun implementasi berjalan efektif pada beberapa aspek pembelajaran, penerapan manajemen resiko belum sepenuhnya merata karena pemahaman dan keterlibatan masih terfokus pada kepala sekolah dan beberapa pihak tertentu. Secara keseluruhan, manajemen resiko berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan efektivitas pembelajaran, namun diperlukan penguatan kapasitas seluruh unsur sekolah agar implementasi berkelanjutan dapat terwujud secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies for building brand image to enhance the competitiveness of educational institutions at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 4 Tulungagung. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants included the head of the madrasah, teachers, educational staff, and supporting documents related to brand image development strategies. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings reveal that the strategy for building brand image at MIN 4 Tulungagung is systematically implemented through the management functions of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC). The identity of the Madrasah Qur’ani is manifested through flagship programs based on the UMMI method, religious culture habituation, improvement of educational service quality, and optimization of digital media. The implementation of these strategies contributes positively to strengthening the competitiveness of the madrasah, as indicated by increased public trust, growth in new student enrollment, improved academic and non-academic achievements, and the strengthening of a positive institutional image. This study confirms that brand image development integrated with institutional management functions serves as an effective strategy for enhancing the sustainable competitiveness of madrasah

Abstract

This study aims to examine how educational management research is conducted by mapping research approaches, research designs, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques, while also identifying methodological trends and future research directions. The study employs a literature review approach by examining scholarly publications relevant to educational management, educational administration, and educational leadership. Relevant literature was identified through searches of academic databases using keywords related to educational management and research methodology. The selected literature was thematically analyzed by identifying and categorizing methodological characteristics, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches, research designs, data collection techniques, and data analysis strategies. The findings indicate that educational management research employs diverse methodological approaches in response to the characteristics of research questions and the organizational contexts under investigation. Quantitative approaches are widely used to examine relationships among organizational variables, whereas qualitative approaches provide deeper insights into organizational processes, experiences, and contextual dynamics. Mixed methods approaches offer opportunities to integrate empirical patterns with contextual explanations. The review further highlights the need for stronger methodological integration through longitudinal designs, multilevel analyses, cross-context comparative studies, and the use of more diverse data sources. This study provides a methodological synthesis that can serve as a reference for researchers in selecting appropriate research approaches and developing future research agendas in educational management.
