Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has fundamentally transformed economic structures and market dynamics. This study aims to systematically examine the implications of digital economic transformation on market structure through a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review. The research adopts the PRISMA framework to ensure a structured and transparent selection of relevant literature from reputable academic databases published between 2015 and 2025. The findings reveal that digital transformation significantly reshapes market structures from traditional competitive models toward platform-based and highly concentrated markets. Key characteristics such as network effects, economies of scale, and data-driven advantages contribute to the emergence of dominant firms and increasing market concentration. In addition, the study identifies a shift in competitive dynamics from price-based competition to innovation-driven and ecosystem-based competition. While digitalization enhances efficiency and expands market access, it also raises concerns regarding reduced competition and higher barriers to entry. This study contributes by providing a comprehensive synthesis and a clearer conceptual framework for understanding market structure in the digital era. The findings offer important implications for policymakers and business actors in designing strategies that balance innovation with fair competition in the evolving digital economy.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the Indonesian economy, yet they face complex structural challenges related to access to capital, governance, and business sustainability. This study aims to analyze and design an MSME business model grounded in Sharia values as an alternative holistic and equitable managerial framework. Using a qualitative approach based on a systematic literature review, this study examines various theories and recent empirical findings regarding Islamic economics, Sharia business ethics, and MSME governance practices. The findings indicate that integrating Sharia principles such as honesty (shidq), trustworthiness (amanah), justice (adl), and the prohibition of usury into SME business models can enhance consumer trust, strengthen partnership networks, and promote sustainable business growth. The Sharia business model constructed in this study encompasses seven key elements: value propositions based on maslahah, ethical customer segments, halal distribution channels, trustworthy customer relationships, riba-free revenue sources, key resources based on Islamic competencies, and a transparent cost structure. This study offers a conceptual contribution to the development of Sharia-based SMEs and practical implications for policies aimed at the economic empowerment of the Muslim community.

Abstract

This study examines the normative vacuum in the regulation of crypto assets as collateral objects under Indonesian banking law. As digital assets gain traction in the financial ecosystem, the legal framework governing their use as collateral remains underdeveloped and fragmented. Indonesian banking law anchored primarily in Law No. 10 of 1998 on Banking and the Fiduciary Guarantee Law No. 42 of 1999 does not explicitly recognize intangible digital assets such as crypto assets as permissible collateral objects. This legal gap creates uncertainty for both creditors and debtors engaging in crypto-backed lending arrangements. Using a normative legal research approach with statutory, conceptual, and comparative analyses, this study identifies two core issues: first, the extent of the normative gap in existing Indonesian banking law regarding crypto assets as collateral; and second, the legal reconstruction needed to bridge that gap. The findings reveal that current regulations are inadequate to accommodate the dynamic nature of crypto assets and that reform whether through legislative amendment or regulatory issuance by the Financial Services Authority is urgently needed. This study contributes to the growing body of scholarship on digital asset law and provides policy recommendations for Indonesian regulators.

Abstract

Global economic uncertainty has become a major challenge for the banking sector due to financial crises, geopolitical tensions, inflationary pressures, and rapid digital transformation in the financial industry. These conditions increase systemic risks and threaten the stability of banking systems worldwide. This study aims to analyze the development of research on banking system resilience in the face of global economic uncertainty using a Systematic Literature Review approach. The study employs a qualitative method by reviewing relevant academic publications from reputable international databases published between 2015 and 2025. The analysis was conducted using the PRISMA framework and thematic analysis to identify key research trends, dominant factors, and policy implications related to banking resilience. The findings reveal that capital adequacy, risk management, liquidity stability, and macroprudential policies are the main determinants of banking system resilience. In addition, digital transformation provides both opportunities and challenges through increased operational efficiency and emerging cyber risks. The study also finds that research trends have shifted toward digital banking resilience and financial technology integration after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study contributes to the literature by providing a comprehensive synthesis of banking resilience research and offering strategic insights for regulators and financial institutions in strengthening financial system stability under global economic uncertainty.

Abstract

Green fiscal policy has become an increasingly important instrument for addressing environmental challenges while supporting sustainable economic development. Despite the growing body of research on environmental taxation, carbon taxes, green subsidies, and environmental fiscal reforms, findings remain fragmented across different contexts and policy instruments. This study aims to systematically review the literature on green fiscal policy and sustainable economic development to identify research trends, key findings, implementation challenges, and future research directions. A Systematic Literature Review based on the PRISMA framework was employed. Relevant articles published between 2014 and 2025 were collected from Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect databases. Following the screening and eligibility process, 48 peer-reviewed articles were included in the final analysis. The findings indicate that carbon taxation is the most widely studied fiscal instrument, followed by environmental taxation, green subsidies, and environmental fiscal reforms. The literature shows that green fiscal policies contribute to economic growth, green investment, technological innovation, carbon emission reduction, and energy efficiency improvement. However, social dimensions such as income distribution and social welfare remain underexplored. Political resistance, institutional constraints, and public acceptance issues were identified as major implementation challenges. Overall, green fiscal policy plays a strategic role in promoting sustainable economic development and supporting the transition toward a low-carbon economy.
