Abstract

The existence of audiologist healthcare professionals in Indonesia is still limited and faces multiple challenges, including uneven distribution, insufficient graduates, weak regulation, and low public awareness. This study aims to analyze the existence of audiologists in Indonesia by identifying recognition barriers, professional activities, and the level of awareness from society and government. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews with audiologists. Thematic analysis revealed limited recognition of audiologists' roles, overlapping responsibilities with other healthcare workers, and the absence of clear career pathways such as civil servant (ASN) status. The findings highlight that audiologists play an important role in early detection and rehabilitation of hearing loss, yet their existence remains vulnerable due to inadequate institutional and regulatory support. It is recommended to strengthen regulations, expand educational access, and enhance public promotion to integrate audiologists as an essential part of Indonesia’s national healthcare system.

Abstract

Service quality is an important factor in shaping patient trust in health services. This study aims to analyze the relationship between service quality dimensions (reliability, responsiveness, tangibles, assurance, and empathy) and patient satisfaction at Waetuno Health Center, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The research used an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design and involved 164 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using chi-square and logistic regression tests. The results showed significant relationships between all five service quality dimensions and patient satisfaction (p < 0.05). The most dominant factor influencing patient satisfaction was responsiveness, with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 23.369. The findings suggest that improving the responsiveness of health workers can significantly enhance patient satisfaction.

Abstract

The implementation of Primary Health Care Integration (ILP) is an important strategy in strengthening the primary health care system in Indonesia, especially in efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality and address public health problems such as stunting, wasting, and chronic diseases. This study aims to analyze the implementation of ILP in Puskesmas Topore, Mamuju District, which was selected as an ILP pilot Puskesmas. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews of health workers and relevant stakeholders. The results showed that ILP at Puskesmas Topore has integrated promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative services for all age groups in a holistic and sustainable manner, encouraging system efficiency, improving early detection and screening of chronic and infectious diseases, and supporting the achievement of Minimum Service Standards (MSS) indicators and national health programs. However, this study also found several challenges, such as limited human resources, infrastructure, and budget, as well as low public awareness of healthy living behaviors and early detection of disease, so it is necessary to strengthen the capacity of health workers, service innovation, develop an integrated health information system, and empower the community to support the sustainability of ILP.

Abstract

Changes in lifestyle, urbanization, and technological advancement have driven an increase in fast food consumption, especially among adolescents and young adults. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional knowledge, the use of food delivery services, and environmental influence on fast food consumption among students at Universitas Pejuang Republik Indonesia (UPRI), Makassar. Using an analytic observational method with a cross-sectional design, the results of Spearman's rho test showed a significant negative correlation between nutritional knowledge and fast food consumption (p=0.003; r=-0.295), and a significant but very low negative correlation between food delivery service usage and fast food consumption (p=0.047; r=-0.199). Meanwhile, no significant correlation was found between environmental influence and fast food consumption (p=0.361; r=0.092). These findings suggest that both internal and external factors influence students' fast food consumption habits. Strengthening nutritional education, monitoring food delivery usage, and implementing environment-based interventions are recommended to reduce excessive fast food intake among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of health education using audiovisual media on mothers' knowledge about stunting in toddlers at Dekai Health Center, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Pegunungan. The research used a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of mothers with toddlers who were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results showed that the average pretest knowledge score was 6.12, which increased to 9.18 after health education using audiovisual media. The Wilcoxon test showed p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant influence of audiovisual media-based education on mothers' knowledge about stunting. These findings suggest that audiovisual media is an effective tool to increase knowledge and awareness of mothers in preventing stunting in toddlers.
