Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of organizational culture and transactional leadership on employee performance with employee engagement as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at PT. Kreasi Hexa Indonesia, an outsourching service provider located in Bekasi, Indonesia. This study employed a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 respondents as the research sample. The data were then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine both direct and indirect causal relationship among the studied variables. The findings reveal that organizational culture and transactional leadership have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, employee engagement was found to serve as a partial mediator, strengthening indirect impact of organizational culture and transactional leadership on performance improvement. These result suggest that managerial practices not only exert a direct influence on performance but also operate through the psychological mechanism of employee engagement with their work and organization. The novelty of this study lies in its empirical evidence from the Indonesian outsourcing sector, demonstrating that employee engagement functions as a strategic psychological mechanism linking organizational culture, leadership practices, and employee engagement strategies in order to achieve sustainable performance improvement.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of income, job security, and workload on job satisfaction among outsourced employees at PT. Kreasi Hexa Indonesia. Job satisfaction is an important factor influencing workforce stability and organizational performance, particularly in outsourcing employment systems. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with a higher-order construct approach through the two-stage method. The evaluation of the model included tests of convergent validity, discriminant validity, construct reliability, coefficient of determination (R²), effect size (f²), predictive relevance (Q²), and hypothesis testing using bootstrapping. The results show that income and job security have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while workload has a negative and significant effect. The findings indicate that fair compensation, employment stability, and balanced workload management play important roles in improving job satisfaction among outsourced employees. This study contributes to the literature by applying a higher-order construct model to analyze multidimensional variables and provides practical insights for improving human resource management practices in outsourcing organizations.

Abstract

Purpose – The study synthesizes institutional, behavioral and capability based perspectives to position SMEs’ perceptions as a foundational cognitive mechanism shaping green business adoption and international readiness. Methodology/approach – This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross sectional survey design that aims to describe the phenomenon of perception of MSME behavior towards green business practices in the context of internationalization. The research data was obtained from the results of a survey of 143 MSMEs in East Java which were documented in the observation dataset. The research analysis unit is the owner or main manager of MSMEs, considering that in the MSME structure, strategic decisions are very centralized on individual decision makers. Findings – The findings indicate that SMEs generally demonstrate a positive awareness of enviromental responsibility and the importance of green practices. Nevertheless, perceptions regarding direct economic benefitd and long term strategic value remain moderate, particulary among micro and small entreprises. This perception gap contribute to cautious attitudes toward adopting green business practices as part of internationalization strategies. The results suggest that SMEs with broader market exposure exhibit more strategic perceptions of green practices as a means of meeting international standards and gaining competitive advantage.Novelty/value – This study contributes to literature by positioning SMEs’ perceptions as a central cognitive mechanism in green business adoption an internationalization readiness by integrates multiple theoretical perspectives. . Abstract

Purpose – The presence of digital technology has reshaped the relational landscape between the hospitality industry and its consumers, particularly through the utilization of social media channels and online ecosystems. This study was designed to examine the role of active consumer participation in shaping brand loyalty, considering affective attachment, trust, and satisfaction as mediating variables among consumers of Sari Pacific Jakarta. Methodology/approach – Data were collected through a survey instrument distributed to 385 respondents who were deliberately selected based on specific criteria. All collected data were subsequently analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique with SmartPLS 4 software. Findings – The findings indicate that consumer engagement mediated by brand trust, consumer satisfaction, and brand attachment give significant and positive effect on brand loyalty. With p-values 0,000 (<0,05) and all hypotheses are fullfiled. The relevant prediction is good with Q2 is 0.678. the strongest effect in mediating variable is the consumer’s satisfaction with F square 0.330 indicating big effect size. Novelty/value – Hotel management should restructure its approach to building consumer engagement by emphasizing the use of digital tools and enhancing the quality of service experiences. Such measures are considered strategic for maintaining consumer loyalty. Future researchers are encouraged to explore the dynamics of consumer experience more comprehensively through qualitative method.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to compare five digital transformation readiness and maturity assessment models—the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI), Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0), acatech Industrie 4.0 Maturity Index, Digital Maturity Model (DMM), and Digital Transformation Readiness Model—and map their suitability to industrial sectors in Indonesia. Methodology/approach – A qualitative, literature-based comparative framework analysis was employed. The models were evaluated according to their objectives, main focus, measurement dimensions, readiness–maturity orientation, sectoral applicability, and relevance to the Indonesian context, with reference to the KBLI 2020 classification. Findings – The findings show that no single model is universally suitable. SIRI and INDI 4.0 are most appropriate for manufacturing because of their emphasis on factory operations, automation, production integration, and Industry 4.0 readiness. The Digital Transformation Readiness Model is more suitable for non-manufacturing sectors requiring organizational readiness assessment, while acatech and DMM are more appropriate for organizations evaluating digital maturity after implementation. Novelty/value – This study provides a sector-sensitive decision guide that links assessment-model characteristics with industrial context and transformation stage, helping Indonesian organizations select a more appropriate digital readiness or maturity framework.
