Abstract

The treasures literary of Nusantara mystic (sufi), that especially written in Malay (Melayu) language in Indonesia are not studied anymore, recently. This is too ironical situation because of these works are relevant with strong public's animo to study Islamic mysticism (tasawuf). One of the most famous of Nusantara mystic (sufi) is Hamzah Fansuri who lived at 16-17 century.

Abstract

Teaching pronunciation might be a bewildering task to do for some teachers as they are lack of experienceconsidering the teaching aspects and techniques. However, It will not be such bewildered task if the teachers recognize some principles of teaching this course. In order to make the teaching process effective, a teacher, then, should bear in mind these considerations,which have been suggested by several experts in English language teaching.

Abstract

Oral Communicative competency in English is need to provide the initation into subcultures, occupations,professions, socialisations and dicipline enquiry. To speak one anonther, we make use of sentences, or, to be morepractice, utterance. Such utterances can be performed in anyone of variaty ways, but to those who believe that shorterutterances are more easy understood than longer ones. That is why an utterance can be expressed in merely one phrasedor sentence. Controvercies among those who decide whether or not grammaar is needed for students to learn particularyin speaking skill bring us to attempt to analyzing how gramatical aspects such as morphem and syntax have morecontribution in the functional sentences (pragmatic). Therefore, to teach how to perform language functions and grammarmight not be separated: students need to learn grammar but they also need to be taught functions. The decision is obvious:depending which levels we are talking about. In other word we need to consder those levels, such as level of difficulty,the level of transparency, and the level of formality.

Abstract

This article is aimed to introduce a contemporary philosopher women from France named Luce Irigaray.She becomes well known as critisizing all of the written in public are rare to discuss about women significanlly.One of her studies Is in linguistics  entilled Je, tu, nous, Pour une Culturede la difference arguing about sex and gender in language. She examined  the women do not be the subjectin the language Instead of men. Furthermore,  feminine  pronoun is replaced for unimportant things whereas masculine pronounIs for Important  thing  based on French  culture.  She thinks language  has a essensial role as a means of communicationIn society and determined the position of women.

Abstract

The term of Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) is not truly from Indonesia, nut adopted from India. Pesantren, Before the coming of colonial era such as (Portugal, Holland, England, and Japan) is the ones of Muslim educational institution in Nusantara. In the era of Colonialism, this institution is become the guardian of Islamic values and the spirits of Independency as seem at ulama's role in prtesting againts the enemy (Colonial Government).

Abstract

This Correlational study aims at knowing empirically the significant relation between the third yearsstudents cross-cultural understandind and communcative competence at state islamic senior high school at South Jakarta.Its data that are obtained through two kinds of test are analyzed using both regression and correlation technique.The data analysis shows that the correlation coefficient of this research is 0.77; while in the significance levelof 0.005 with 60 students as a sample of the research the Pearson's table indicates the correlation coefficient is bigger than the value of the Pearson's table, the null hypotesis can be rejected and the alternative one is accepted.Therefore, it can be understood that there is significant relation between the third year student's cross-culturalunderstanding and communicative competence at State Islamic Senior High School at South Jakarta.

Abstract

Masdar (infinitive, verbal noun) is kind of Arabic noun. It has many varieties of forms, meanings, anduunique usings in structural sentences. Hence its important to understand of using of masdar and its applicationin contextual sentences, especially in order to translate text from Arabic into Indonesian. The varieties of masdarmeaning imply a necessary for revitalization of comprehensively understanding masdar in all perspective, not only inmorphological point of view, but also in gramatical and semantical perspective.

Abstract

Muhammad saw before become a prophet (a messenger of God) always contemplated at mountcave Hira,this is showed his mysticism. He  continued this way of life and followed by his followers as calledAhl al­Suffah. In Indonesia, there is term called Walisongo (nine holy men) who has spreaded Islam in Nusantara (Java).Several members of them who has spreaded Islam out of Java (in Sulawesi) are Abdul Jawad Khatib Bungsu Maulana Datuk Tiro (Datuk Tiro),Khatib Tunggal Abdul  Makmur (Datuk Ribandang) dan Khatib Sulaiman (Datuk Pattimang).
