Extreme climate is at risk of a water resource crisis. Land degradation provides challenges for farmers to switch to non-agriculture or not worked on. In cases that occur, then several problems arise including 1) how the internal conditions of the socio-ecological farmers, 2) adaptation of farmers to the crisis of water resources and 3) the role of non-agricultural work in overcoming economic uncertainty. Issues relating to the Socio Ecology System (SES) were examined by mixed methods. It is known, the type of soil on land generally is inceptisol. Mixed cropping system between cassava and cane was chosen to anticipate the loss of farmers, especially when water is difficult. The vulnerability of natural resources encourages farmers to behave creatively and adaptively in carrying out their life activities. The form of adaptation ability of farmers is to utilize the potential of dairy cattle and goat farming when agricultural land is difficult to cultivate. For those who do not have livestock, they take jobs as miners of sand and wood. Sand and wood as future savings. Various non-agricultural activities are able to support many farmers, especially for those who experience a natural resource crisis.

In the digital and intelligent era, all organization including hospital should transform their bussiness process from manual and paper-based activities to automatic and paperless one to become a so-called Smart Hospital. However, the development of IT services in hospital are considered not optimal due to the absence of guidelines and a foundation in its implementation. This guideline of Smart Hospital Master Plan will be the basis for implementing the concept of smart hospitals, which in practice will manage health services based on Information Technology. Furthermore, this Smart Hospital Master Plan approach applies the COBIT 5 framework to obtain guaranteed value and benefits of smart hospital implementation at the hospital. Three main activities in COBIT 5 that will use in assessing IT support for improving the quality of health services in this teaching hospital, namely evaluation, direction, and supervision.

Having a job is apparently not enough to ensure that the person is able to make ends meet, because the problem of unemployment is actually not the main problem of eradicating poverty. Poor people do not have the privilege of not working, they inevitably have to work to earn income. But the income from the work they do is of low value, so it is unable to meet their needs, especially basic needs. About 8.25 percent of working population in Indonesia are working poor, meaning they work, but the income is not enough to meet the needs. Using 2018 National Socio Economic Survey (SUSENAS) data, this study tries to dissect the labor conditions in Indonesia. The working population is still dominated by workers with low education, and there are still many who work as family/unpaid workers showing as a form of inefficiency. The characteristics of poor workers in Indonesia are male, living in rural areas. Still in prime age range, but poorly educated, only at elementary school level or less. These characteristics at the individual level are closely related to the mechanism of low wages which makes a person more at risk of becoming a working poor.

Married women who experience severe food insecurity 6,3 point percent more likely to participate in the labor force than the one who has food security. But overall, education, husband’s working status and type of residence are the strongest determinant of married women labor force participation.

Neo-realism argues that states belong to an anarchic world in which there is no great power governing on it. State is required to have survival capability in a self-help system. Inter-state relations may encourage a country to exercise their power as a means of survival in an anarchist world. The Atlantic Sea plays a vital role in maintaining international stability and security to balance the power distribution within the region. Since days of discovery, Portugal have shown their capabilities in navigating the sea, through high seas, islands and across continents in looking for most-wanted sources at the time, spices. They have cemented their dominance at various strategic points along international shipping lanes. Further, having the longest coastline in Europe makes Portugal´s politics in maritime realm quite decisive. Based on the neo-realism perspective developed by Kenneth Waltz, the author outlines the strategic steps adopted by Portuguese towards transition of global power during post World-War II. This article reveals that construction of Portuguese national identity determines their national interest in regards of their foreign policy in maritime security policy.
