Abstract

Abstract. Era industrialisasi yang berkembang sangat cepat membutuhkan sumber daya energi yang cukup besar, dimana sebagian besar sumber daya energi tersebut semakin berkurang dari waktu ke waktu. Untuk itu dibutuhkan suatu sumber daya energi alternatif yang diharapkan bisa menggantikan sumber daya utama yang semakin berkurang tersebut. Salah satu energi alternatif untuk pemanasan ataupun pembakaran adalah menggunakan oven berbantuan surya yang berguna tetapi memiilki dampak yang ramah terhadap lingkungan. Dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode volume hingga dan diselesaikan dengan teknik diskritisasi QUICK maka didapatkan bahwa energi surya dapat dimanfaatkan dengan maksimal jika oven berbentuk kubus dan diberi sekat-sekat, hal ini juga berpengaruh terhadap temperatur awal yang masuk, semakin besar energi surya yang terserap maka proses pemanasan akan berlangsung dengan baik. Sedangkan penyebaran temperatur cukup merata dengan temperatur tertinggi pada oven surya berbentuk kubus adalah terletak pada tengah kubus. Key Words :Modelling, Oven Surya, Finite Volume Method

Abstract

Abstract. Materials to produce fertilizer are NH3 Liquid and CO2 gas. Required CO2 gas should be free from condensation, so CO2 gas is refrigerated in intercooler. In this research, we analyse of mathematic model for heat transfer in fluid with finite volume method. We will review how the CO2 gas cooling process from mathematics model point of view. We will model the equations for CO2 gas cooling process which includes momentum dan energy. After that this model will be discretizatied. For numerical solution, we will use Matlab and Fluent to simulate CO2 gas cooling process. The simulation result using Matlab and Fluent forms will be presented descriptively in charts, tables, and images to show how the distribution process of heat transfer. The result show for error is 0,0087. In conclusion the model accurate for solving heat transfer process in CO2 gas. Key Words : Mathematics Models, Heat transfer, Finite Volume Methode,

Abstract

Abstrac.: This research aims to determine the percentage of geometry questions for each van Hiele levels in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade, and to determine the percentage of geometry questions for each descriptors in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade based on van Hiele levels. Sources of data in the study include documents geometry questions in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade, written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih; and also Atik Wintarti et.al. To analyze the data used descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The result of the data analysis shows that are 1176 questions in the mathematics textbooks SMP written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih; and also written by Atik Wintarti et.al. From the results, the percentage of geometry questions for each van Hiele levels in the mathematics textbook written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih for Visualization, Analysis, Ordering, and Deduction are respectively 9%, 81.31%, 8.47%, and 0%. Then, in the SMP mathematics textbook written by Atik Wintarti et.al, there are 14,88% in the visualization level; 75,42% in the analysis level; 8,36% in the ordering level; and 0% in the deduction level. However, each SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade are equally dominated by Analysis level. Then, the geometry questions in the mathematics textbook written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih is dominated by descriptor 4.b and descriptor 9. But, in the SMP mathematics textbook written by Atik Wintarti et.al is dominated by descriptor 2. Key Words : textbook, geometry questions, van Hiele geometric thinking levels

Abstract

Abstract.Inquiry is the learning model that emphasis oncritical thinkingand analyticalprocesstofind their ownanswers toaproblem,andSAVIis a combinationof physical movementand intellectualactivity. The aims of this research is to know implementation of inquiry learning model with SAVI approach to increase students mathematic outcome and student’s activity for the students of class IX. Type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the study design used was a model scheme Kemmis dan Taggartstudy research design were consists of 4 phases include planning, action, observation, and reflection. Thesubject of the research isIX C students of SMP Negeri 2 Jenggawah and material was chosen surface area and volume of curved space geometry. The data collection methods used in this research was observation, interview, test, and documentation.In the first cycle, completeness student’s activity is 77,05% and the student learning outcomes classically is 72,22%. And the second cycle, completeness the student’s activity is 86,57% and the student learning outcomes classically is 86,11%. So the increase of the both cycle classically above was 13,89%. The result shows that the completeness of student’s activity and result learning has increased well. Abstract

Abstract. Path analysis is a technique to analyze the effect of free and bound variables in which every variable correlates or associates with cause and effect directly or indirectly. This study was conducted to determine some factors which influenced National Examination at Senior High School in Lumajang. The Data were analyzed using path analysis. The results of the study were explained as follows: 1. The correlation of variables in path analysis followed the pattern of direct, indirect and mixed. 2. Path analysis could be applied to the analysis of the relationship between exogenous variables (Practical Training (X1), Assignment (X2), and Daily Test (X3)) with endogenous variables (Mid-Term Test (Y1), Final-Term Test (Y2), and National Examination (Z)). Daily Test (X3) contributed directly to Mid-Term Test (Y1). On the other hand, Practical Training (X1) and Daily Test (X3) did not contribute significantly to the Final-Term Test (Y2). 3. Assignment (X2) has direct and indirect influence on National Examination (Z) through Final-Term Test (Y2). 4. Daily Test (X3) did not have a direct influence to Final-Term Test (Y2) but it had a direct impact either through National (Z or through Mid-Term Test (Y1) and Final-Term Test (Y2) which contributed 19.6% of the total site. The direct contribution of Mid-Term Test (Y1) to National Examination (Z) was the highest direct contribution in this study with 40% of the total site. While, the contribution of Practical Training (X1), Assignment (X2), Daily Test (X3), Mid-Term Test (Y1), and Final-Term Test (Y2) simultaneously influenced National Examination (Z) with 93.5% . Abaut 6.5% was influenced by the other factors which could not be described in this study. Key Words : National Examination, Path Analysis, Variable Exogenous, endogenous variables

Abstract

Abstract.The aimof this research is to develop an audio based math media.It will help blind stunentd to understand thecircumferenceandtriangle area concepts. The methodis obtained from modifyng Four D modeland data collecting proccessin this research usequestionnaires andobservation. The validation results done by computerexpert, education expert and math teacherof SMPLBclass VII-A shows that 87.91% of the criteria have been fullfiled the validityand no revision required. The next stepis implementation test forblind studentsof class VII. The media test results shows that 92.85% have been fulfilledthevalidity. It means that the media has a very valid category and no revision required. The development result ofaudio based math media is an executable software. The product of this research are 6 units audio based math media and the manual book. Key Words:development research, audio, blind students

Abstract.Mass spring system is a system composed of objects that have mass and are connected by a spring. The series of spring can be composed of several pieces of spring are mounted in series or parallel as required. The springs are mounted in series will reduce the value of the spring constant, while the installation of spring in parallel to increase the value of the spring constant. This studyaimed toexamine thebehavior ofthe spring system, both without and with thefrictioncreatedfrictionwith the variationof mass,spring constantand theformationof differentspring system. Formationspring systemis theformation ofa simplespring systemarranged in seriesorparallel. The stage of research was conducted on the determination of the mathematical equations for the motion of the mass determined from the equilibrium position of the spring system formation include a mass spring system connected to two springs arranged series, a mass spring system connected to two springs arranged parallel and two mass spring system connected by two springs arranged series, then made a spring system simulation program. Abstract

Abstract.A comparison of the students learning outcomes by using STAD cooperative model with a jigsaw type ( experimental research at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Genteng – Banyuwangi, Department of Mathematics Education and mathematics Science, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Jember University. The purpose of this research was to compare learning outcomes between students who were taught with cooperative learning model STAD type with jigsaw type. This study was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Genteng. The total number of the students in grade VIIC and VIID was 66 students. The data was gathered by using achievement test and observation in form of questionnaire. The value of 5% significant coloum was 6,193 and the value of t table 5,671. It can be concluded that there was different mean score between cooperative learning STAD and Jigsaw. The result showed that in learning STAD class was 3,14 and the result of Jigsaw was 2,68. Thus it can be concluded that the learning by using cooperative learning jigsaw type better than classes taught by type STAD cooperative learning. Abstract

Abstract. ARIMA models as the population forecasting in Situbondo is a model of ARIMA(3, 3, 3) and mathematically, it is stated as; =2,445–1,6632–0,148+0,9732–1,0746+ 0,4676+– 1,0635. Forecasting the population in Situbondo is 667646 people in 2012 and in 2013 is 677852 people. Some other approaches in determining the population is the Arithmetic growth formula, the result of forecasting in 2012 is 657540 people and in 2013 is 661626 people, Based on Geometric growth formula, the result of forecasting in 2012 is 19696459 people and in 2013 is 35211214 people and Based on Exponential growth formula the result of forecasting in 2012 is 657611 people and in 2013 is 661799 people. If we compare the data of the forecasted result of ARIMA model with the Aritmatics growth formula and Exponential growth formula, show that the data of the population with the last ten actual data is relatively similiar.The closed last ten actual data forecasting of population is the aritmatics growth formula, whereas the data of the population result for next two year based on the Geometric growth formula got the forecasted result which is different from the forecasted result of ARIMA model, Aritmatics growth formula and Exponential growth formula. Abstract

Abstract. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode Adams Bashforth-Moulton dalam menganalisis model penularan virus Rabies. Model matematika sistem penularan virus Rabies direpresentasikan dalam bentuk persamaan diferensial biasa (PDB) non linear orde satu sehingga sulit diselesaikan dengan metode analitik. Metode numerik Adams Bashforth-Moulton order dua belas digunakan dalam penelitian ini karena sudah terbukti merupakan metode yang lebih teliti dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang sulit diselesaikan secara analitik. Sebagai perbandingan, digunakan metode Adams Bashforth-Moulton order sembilan untuk menganalisis tingkat keakuratan dan keefektivannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Adams Bashforth-Moulton order dua belas memiliki nilai error yang lebih kecil dibandingkan metode Adams Bashforth-Moulton order sembilan. Hal ini menunjukkan metode Adams Bashforth-Moulton order dua belas lebih efektif dalam menganalisis model dinamika penularan virus Rabies.
