Abstract

The study aims is todetermine the effectiveandefficient concentration ofthe twokinds of plant extraction in asingletestand thecombination of both onthe mortality of Spodopteraexiqualarvaand to determineLC50 values.The useofthis study is as informationabout thetwotypes of plantsthat workcompatible inpest controlSpodopteraexigua.The research was conducted in July through September 2014 were held at the Laboratory of Plant and Pest  Tadulako University.The study useda completely randomized design(CRD) with 5treatments and3 replications.The treatments are: A(K1 = 0:25%), B (K2 = 0:50%),C(K3 = 0.75%),D(K4 =1.00%) andE (K5=1:25%). The variables observed arethemortality ofSpodopteraexigua.Larva Used is instar 3.The results showedthat ina singletest ofplant extracts ofSidondo Plant (Vitex negundo L) in theconcentration of 1% is aneffective concentrationwithLC50 valuesof 0.10% toobtaine 83.33% mortalityandplant extracts of “Patah Tulang” (Euphorbia tirucalli) in concentration of1% is aneffectiveconcentration withtheLC50value of0.08% to obtaine 83.33% mortality,a combination concentration ofSidondo Plant (Vitex negundo L)extracts and “Patah Tulang” (Euphorbia tirucalli) of 0.50% is an effective concentration with LC50 values of 0.09% on mortality of larvae of Spodoptera exigua tomortalityof 48 JSA can reach until 83.33%.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the marketing channels, marketing margin,     part of the price received by farmers and marketing efficiency. Determination of the respondents to the farm was done intentionally (purposive). Total respondents two people consisting of 1 leader and 1 employee with the consideration that the respondents have to know the flow of the marketing of the products produced. Respondent traders used assessment method (Tracing Method), in order to obtain each 2 collectors and 1 retailers. The results showed that there are two channels of marketing eggs in the effort "breeder laying hens on the farm" Aris Light Sweet "as follows:          1). Breeders - Traders Gatherer - Retailer - Consumer. 2). Breeders - Traders Gatherer/retailer - Consumer. Margin on the first channel of IDR.9,600 and a second channel IDR.5,400. Section prices received by farmers in the first marketing channel by 91% and the second channel by 93%. Section prices received by farmers on the second channel ar greater, with the efficiency of 4,5%. Compared with the first channel with the efficiency of 4,7%. The results also showed that the efficiency of the marketing channels more efficiently. Key Words : Efficiency, marketing , margin , part price.

Abstract

This research consists of two stages in which the first stage aims to find out the weight of the best cocoa pod husk powder that can be produced instant cacao pod husk beverages. The results of the analysis of the antioxidant capacity levels of total phenol showed that the use of dried cocoa pod husk by ethanol solvent has the highest level of both total phenols and antioxidant capasity. The second phase activity aims to find out the levels of total phenols and antioxidant capacity of instant beverages from various extracts of cocoa pod husk. This study used a completely random design (CRD) with one factor which was consisting of four levels namely cocoa pod husk weight 5 g, 10 g, 15 g and 20 g. Maltodextrin 20 g and 10 g of sucrose was added to thicker the instant beverage. The analysis showed that the highest of total phenols and antioxidant capacity in the drink when used 20 g of cocoa pod husk. The best phenols and antioxidant capacity content was from 10 g cocoa pod husk extratraction thus this amount has to be used as standard to produce this instant drink.Key Word: Extraction, Instant Drink, Pod husk.ABSTRAK

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the maximum production of bread and brownies that must be provided by ‘Syariah Bakery’ home industry in order to obtain the maximum profit by optimalizing limited sources. The research was conducted at ‘Syariah Bakery’ home industry in Tanamodindi regency, Palu Selatan subdistrict, Palu City in February until April 2015. It had four respondents which consisted of the owner and three employees of  ‘Syariah Bakery’ home industry. In addition, the result of the research showed that the optimal production of  the home industry by producing 52, 550  packages of bread, 1, 218 packages of brownies in every month and by optimalizing 1,729 kg of wheat flour, 278,79 kg of chocolate powder, 403 kg of sugar, and 910 HOK, the maximum profit obtained was Rp. 36,736,050

Abstract

This experiment aimed to determine the best growing media composition and coconut water in stimulating the growth of pepper plant cuttings. It used a two factorial randomized block design. The first factor was various proportions of media compositions of manure, sand and top soil i.e. 1:4:12; 1:4:6; and 1: 4:4. The second factor was different rates of coconut water i.e. A0           (no coconut water added), A1 (40 cc), A2 (80 cc), and A3 (120 cc). There were 12 combination treatments and each was replicated three times with each treatment consisting of three plants. Parameter observed included shoot length, leaf number, leaf area size, root length, and fresh root weight. The research results showed that there was no significant interaction effect between         the media composition and the coconut water on the shoot length at 45 days after planting (DAP), 60 DAP, and 90 DAP but it was significant at 75 DAP. The interaction effect was also significant on the leaf number at 60 DAP. Only the coconut water had significant effect on the total leaf area size, the root length, and the fresh weight. The stimulation of the pepper cutting growth was best under the 120 cc coconut water treatment per week and the sand, manure and top soil proportion of 1:4:4 treatment. Key Words : Coconut water, pepper cuttings, and planting media

Abstract

This research was carried out at the Green House Experimental Farm Science Park, Sigi Biromaru Sidondo sub-district, Sigi Regency, since April - July 2016. This research aims to determine the effect of different types of media is growing and the interval giving coconut water towards growth and yield of tomato plants with uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) two factors, where the first factor is the growing medium consisting of four levels treatments, M1 (medium soil and chicken manure), M2 (ground husk charcoal and media), M3 (medium soil and sawdust), M4 (medium soil and cow manure), and the second factor is the interval watering coconut water is P1 (4 days), P2 (8 days), and P3 (12 days). Each combination treatment was repeated three times so that there are 36 experimental units. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance, and the real effect then tested further using Honestly Significant Difference at 5% level. The results showed that the treatment M2P2 give very good influence on the growth phase of height with an average 121,67 cm at age 45 days after planting, the average number of leaves 268,67 strands, and the total dry weight of the average plant 204,67 g, whereas treatment M1P1 give very good influence on the amount of fruit on average of 7,67 with a total weight of ripe fruit average 243, 67 g and the average root volume 19,67 ml.Key Words : Tomato, Growing Media, Coconut Water.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the changes in physical and chemical characteristics of Lembah Palu Entisols added with gypsum. The research used a completely randomized design with four treatments and six replicates thus there were 24 experimental units.  Four gypsum rates were applied including no gypsum added, gypsum added at 10 t ha-1, 20 t ha-1, and 30 t ha-1.  The effect of gypsum was analysed using the Analysis of Variance and the differences between treatments were determined using Least Significant Difference test.  Experimental variable observed were saturated water content,field capacity water content, bulk density, soil porosity, plasticity index, electrical conductivity, and cation exchangeable capacity (CEC), Ca-exch content.  The addition of gypsum significantly affected all soil variables observed except soil porosity and CEC.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the income of household bread industry of Aisyah bakery       in palu. This research site was located at Mandala Street, North Birobuli, South Palu subdistrict     of Palu City, for two months starting from February to March 2017. Determination of respondents in this study was done purposively. The respondents were one leader of Aisyah Bakery Industry, and three employees of the Bakery Industry, so that the total number of the respondents was four people. The income of the bakery was analyzed using the income analysis. The total revenue generated by the bakery was IDR 35,100,000 with the total cost of IDR 24,503,269. Therefore,     the income of the bakery was IDR 10,596,731. Key Words: Aisha Bakery, household industry and income.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the total Income and the feasibility of direct seeding method on paddy rice farming at Astina Village Torue Subdistrict Parigi Moutong Regency. This study was conducted on April to May 2015. Respondents in this research was 30 housholds chosen by following simple randing sampling method. The results showed total income was 1,346,798 IDR per hectar with average total cost 9,186,263 IDR per hectar. The direct seeding on paddy rice farming is feasible while the R/C is 2.2.Key Words : Feasibiliy, income, Paddy Rice Farming.

Abstract

This research aimed  to determine the effect of adding cow manure bokashi on some physical characteristics of Entisols of Lembah Palu. The research conducted from March to December 2015 at Soil Science Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Tadulako University. Soil sample was taken from Sidera village, Sigi Biromaru sub district of Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi province.  The research used a randomize block design with the cow manure bokashi as treatment. The cow manure bokashi was added at various rates i.e. 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%. Data was analyzed using Analysis of Variance to determine the cow manure effect and Least Significance Ddifferent Test to determine the differences between the treatments. The 15% cow manure bokashi treatment resulted in lowest bulk density (1,28 g cm-3), plasticity index (36,43) and liquid limit (54,17). The same treatment also produced largest porosity (50,75%), field capacity (33,22%) and saturated water (56,38%) contents
