Abstract

Abstract: The improvement of the effectiveness in teaching reading is necessary as a way to improve the students’ mastery of reading comprehension. Selecting the appropriate method is one way to improve the effectiveness of teaching reading. Cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) is a method for teaching reading and writing by applying teammates and serving various reading activities. Dealing with it, this paper will show some important points: (1) notion of reading, (2) basic concept of CIRC, (3) purposes and benefits of teaching reading using CIRC, (4) model of teaching using CIRC, (5) the importance of CIRC in teaching reading.   Keywords     : cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) and the effectiveness of teaching reading.

Abstraks : Kita mengakui, bahwa dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, peran guru sangat penting dan strategis. Pada dasarnya tugas dan tanggung jawab guru adalah sama, baik guru yang berstatus pegawai negeri sipil, tetap yayasan maupun wiyata bhakti. Diera otonomi daerah keberadaan guru wiyata bhakti masih tetap dibutuhkan untuk mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Abstract

ABSTRACTChildren are young who need many experiences form their enironment. It can be found throught their eyes, ears,mouth,nose or skin. Among those, eyes influence more than others on reading-readiness. Reading readiness is a foundamental for real reading and improve potential children at kindergarten School because by reading they can be learn everything. Three factors that influence reading-readiness are: family reading habit,fasilitation as home library, and social environment habit. Thos it can be concluded reading-readiness is very important to improve and develop the children at Kindergarten Scool. Keywords: reading-readiness, Children,Young learnes,and Kindergarten School.

Abstraks: Karir seorang pegawai sangat ditentukan oleh kompetensinya, sehinggaperusahaan berkepentingan untuk mengangkat calon pegawai yang kompeten dibidangnya. Sekolah sebagai salah satu lembaga yang bertugas mempersiapkan lulusannyauntuk memasuki dunia kerja mempunyai tanggung jawab menjadikan siswa-siswa agarmempunyai kompetensi di bidangnya masing-masing.
