Abstract

In this paper, we study how to overcome the urgency of flooding that occurs suddenly around the city of Gresik using wireless sensors with fuzzy logic to support Gresik smart city. The process of making flood alarm detection is very difficult to solve. To overcome this, we propose the use of wireless sensors using fuzzy logic in flood-prone areas. Fuzzy logic is used to process sensor data to find more accurate results to improve accuracy and efficiency. Two sensors are installed at the flood warning test point, using Wemos D1 MINI / NodeMCU so that the IoT network can be connected to the server. The data obtained from the measurement results are processed using fuzzy logic. Fuzzy will provide flood warnings automatically when the height is 30 cm and above. The method used is qualitative and product development research. The results after conducting 100 trials showed that there were six cases of errors in reading the water level, so that from the trial an error of 6% was obtained from the sensor made and a success accuracy of 94% was obtained. The research conducted concluded that the research results were as expected. In this way, public safety against sudden flood events will increase.

Abstract

Abstract— This research aims to explore and analyze ransomware mitigation strategies, a type of malware that encrypts data and demands a ransom. A literature review was used to collect and analyze data from academic journals, industry reports, and technical publications. The analysis of the literature indicates that prevention strategies such as user education, routine data Backups, and software updates are effective in reducing the risk of attacks. Early detection technologies, including intrusion detection systems and behavior analysis, have proven capable of identifying attacks before significant damage occurs. A swift and coordinated response, involving the isolation of infected systems and forensic analysis, can minimize impact and recovery costs. The research concludes that ransomware mitigation requires a holistic approach encompassing prevention, early detection, and rapid response. The combination of these strategies is effective in reducing damage and recovery costs following a ransomware attack.Index Terms—Mitigation, malware, and ransomware.

Abstract

This study focuses on predicting hotel booking cancellations using machine learning to improve accuracy and operational efficiency. The methods used include Random Forest, Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), and Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT). ABC, which excels in optimization but is prone to local optima, is combined with GBDT for feature selection. The dataset used is Hotel_Bookings from Kaggle, with 119,390 entries and 28 features. The data is processed through cleansing, normalization, and split into 75% for training and 25% for testing. Feature selection is performed using ABC and GBDT, and the prediction model is built using Random Forest. Model evaluation using confusion matrix and metrics like precision, recall, f1-score, and accuracy shows accuracies of 86.17% and 86.65% for ABC and GBDT, respectively. Increasing the number of trees and features generally improves model performance, with feature selection showing significant performance improvements compared to models without feature selection.

Abstract

Every fingerprint that a human possesses must have a fingerprint pattern and must be unique. Each pattern has a ridge pattern that will not change as long as there is no change due to an accident or injury. This ridge pattern can be used as biometric recognition. Based on the ridge pattern owned, the fingerprint pattern is divided into 4 patterns, including the tented arch pattern, the whorl pattern, the loop pattern (ulnar loop and radial loop). The stage of fingerprint pattern recognition begins by looking for minutiae (termination and bifurcation) points on the fingerprint using the Crossing Number (CN) method. Before searching for CN, the fingerprint image must be processed using the Otsu and Zhang-Suen or Stentiford Thinning methods. Thinning is used to facilitate the extraction of minutiae in fingerprint images. The last stage in obtaining the minutiae point is classified by the Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) method. The results obtained from the test data were 30 images, 24 images could be classified correctly, and 4 images could not be recognized. The accuracy rate of the fingerprint pattern identification system is 80%.

Abstract

Documents and archives is an important part of BPAD (Badan Perpustakaan Arsip dan Dokumentasi) Malang because the main task is the management of archives. But in its management, mail archiving, as well as the approval letter is still done manually and there is no security of its data. With this system is expected to help to manage and document all messages are in BPAD (National Library of Archives and Documentation) Malang. Both incoming and outgoing mail. Letters contained in the system is also secured by means of encryption using the Blowfish algorithm to secure data archive important letters so that data is safe and away from the risk of this manipulation. Aplication can simplify the process of collecting data, archive storage and secure image archive in poor districts BPAD use blowfish algorithm so that data is safe and away from the risk of misuse.

Abstract

As the information and technology sectors develop, Android smartphones are a means of disseminating information that offers many benefits. In the current era, information technology has a huge impact on every aspect of daily life. Improvements in information technology in the education sector will become more user-friendly. One of them is SMP N 5 Medan, which requires IT assistance to register new students who still use paper forms. The current system has a problem because it makes it difficult to collect data and create reports. This research aims to develop an Android application that can be used by prospective students to register and assist SMPN 5 Medan in monitoring prospective student registration data. Application development in this research uses the FAST method, which includes scope definition, problem analysis, requirements analysis, logical design, decision analysis, physical design and integration, development and testing, and delivery. The developed application facilitates information access, registration, and aids SMP N 5 Medan in generating new student registration reports.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital era, leveraging advanced technologies to enhance the online shopping experience has become crucial, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) aiming to compete in the global market. This research focuses on optimizing the shopping experience by integrating Augmented Reality (AR) and Payment Gateway technologies into a storefront platform specifically designed for women's clothing SMEs. The study begins with a comprehensive analysis of market trends, customer behavior, and the challenges faced by SMEs in adopting these technologies. A detailed literature review provides the foundation for developing a robust conceptual framework. The prototype development phase involves designing 3D models using CLO | 3D Fashion Design Software, converting these models into AR experiences with Meta Spark Studio, and integrating the Midtrans Payment Gateway using Laravel. The AR feature enables users to virtually try on clothes via Instagram, while the Payment Gateway ensures quick and secure transactions. The final phase involves rigorous functional and substantive testing, focusing on user experience, transaction efficiency, and overall system performance. Results demonstrate that the integrated prototype significantly enhances the shopping experience, providing seamless AR interactions and efficient payment processing. Users reported high satisfaction levels with the system's usability and security. The study concludes that integrating AR and Payment Gateway technologies into SME storefronts can substantially improve their competitiveness in the digital market, offering practical insights and guidelines for future implementations in the e-commerce sector.
