Abstract

Kampung Inggris adalah sebuah tempat dimana banyak terdapat lembaga pengajaran bahasa Inggris yang terletak di desa Tulungrejo kecamatan Pare kabupaten Kediri. Jumlah calon pendaftar di sana sangat banyak dan proses penentuan LBB (Lembaga Bimbingan Belajar) yang dilakukan calon siswa di Kampung Inggris Pare saat ini masih dilakukan secara manual yaitu calon siswa datang ke LBB secara langsung dan mendaftar di LBB yang diinginkan. Hal ini menyebabkan lamanya proses yang diperlukan dalam penentuan LBB dan terkadang LBB yang  dipilih  tidak  cocok  dengan  kebutuhan  calon  siswa.  Oleh  karena  itu,  diperlukan  sistem  pendukung keputusan pemilihan LBB pada Kampung Inggris Pare. Dengan sistem yang dibangun, dapat membuat proses penilaian  dan  pengambilan  keputusan  menjadi  lebih  mudah  karena  menggunakan  metode  AHP  (Analytic Hierarchy Process) yaitu salah satu metode pengambilan keputusan untuk menentukan pilihan terbaik dari beberapa alternatif dengan beragam kriteria. Selain itu proses pendokumentasian data-data dari tiap LBB yang ter  update dan  dilakukan  secara  realtime.  Hasil  implementasi  dari  aplikasi  ini  berupa  peringkat  LBB  di Kampung  Inggris  Pare  berdasarkan  data  kualitatif  beserta  detail  di  setiap  hitungannya  untuk  memberikan alternatif keputusan yang membantu calon siswa dalam melakukan pemilihan LBB di Kampung Inggris Pare.

Abstract

Abstract

Documents and archives is an important part of BPAD (Badan Perpustakaan Arsip dan Dokumentasi) Malang because the main task is the management of archives. But in its management, mail archiving, as well as the approval letter is still done manually and there is no security of its data. With this system is expected to help to manage and document all messages are in BPAD (National Library of Archives and Documentation) Malang. Both incoming and outgoing mail. Letters contained in the system is also secured by means of encryption using the Blowfish algorithm to secure data archive important letters so that data is safe and away from the risk of this manipulation. Aplication can simplify the process of collecting data, archive storage and secure image archive in poor districts BPAD use blowfish algorithm so that data is safe and away from the risk of misuse.

Abstract

Information technology  governance is used to guide and control an organization in achieving the goals that had been planned in advance. PT DEF is a company which utilises information technology to support its business processes. Nevertheless,  it indeed  requires an IT governance that can be beneficial as a reference for IT activities in order to run properly. This research intends to conduct an audit of information technology governance based on the COBIT 5 framework domain, which is  DSS (Deliver, Service, and Support) domain in the process of DSS03 (Manage Problems). According to the research results, the values that have been obtained from the process of DSS03 capability level was 64.66%, that is regarded as Partially Achieved. Capability level will be used as a reference in seeking gap contained in the domain of DSS03 process. Furthermore, these would be able to make recommendations aimed at increasing the value of the expected maturity. This research contributes to the evaluation results and recommendations to improve the capability level on the DSS03 domain, hence  PT DEF can upgrade its IT governance by using DSS03 process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari tantangan yang dihadapi petani dalam memilih pupuk yang tepat di tengah banyaknya pilihan yang tersedia, termasuk pupuk subsidi yang sering kali menjadi pilihan utama. Pupuk subsidi, meskipun lebih terjangkau, sering kali tidak selalu sesuai dengan kebutuhan spesifik tanaman padi dan kondisi tanah. Ketidakakuratan dalam pemilihan pupuk dapat mempengaruhi hasil panen dan keuntungan. Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada kebutuhan untuk menyediakan alat bantu yang dapat menyederhanakan proses pengambilan keputusan dengan mempertimbangkan berbagai jenis pupuk, termasuk subsidi, dan kriteria lain yang relevan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) berbasis Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Rank Order Centroid (ROC) dengan pengujian validasi pengguna, khususnya dalam pemilihan pupuk padi, termasuk pupuk subsidi, di UD. Binti Mitun Tani, Kediri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang dan mengimplementasikan SPK yang mengintegrasikan metode AHP dan ROC untuk memberikan rekomendasi pemilihan pupuk yang optimal, baik dari jenis pupuk subsidi berdasarkan kondisi spesifik UD. Kontribusi penelitian ini mencakup pengembangan metode yang inovatif dalam mengabungkan dua metode AHP-ROC dan teknik evaluasi dimana penerapan sistem yang diuji secara langsung dengan melibatkan pengguna akhir, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan akurasi keputusan, efisiensi pemilihan pupuk, dan mendukung pengelolaan usaha tani padi yang lebih efektif dan menguntungkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa SPK berbasis AHP dan ROC berhasil meningkatkan akurasi pemilihan pupuk di UD. Binti Mitun Tani, dengan pupuk Urea menjadi salah satu rekomendasi utama. Sistem ini juga membantu petani dalam mempertimbangkan faktor biaya dan kecocokan pupuk dengan kondisi tanah, sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan pertanian padi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan mayoritas responden setuju dengan bobot kriteria dan relevansi alternatif pupuk. Pupuk Urea dinilai sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan mendukung tujuan bisnis.   Abstract This research began with the challenge faced by farmers in selecting the right fertilizer from many available options, including subsidized fertilizers that are often the primary choice. While subsidized fertilizers are more affordable, they are not always suitable for the specific needs of rice plants and soil conditions. Inaccurate fertilizer selection can affect crop yield and profitability. The urgency of this research lies in the need to provide a decision support tool that simplifies the decision-making process by considering various types of fertilizers, including subsidies, and other relevant criteria. This research develops a Decision Support System (DSS) based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Rank Order Centroid (ROC) with user validation testing, specifically for selecting rice fertilizers, including subsidized ones, at UD. Binti Mitun Tani, Kediri. The goal of the research is to design and implement a DSS integrating AHP and ROC methods to provide optimal fertilizer recommendations based on the specific conditions of UD. Binti Mitun Tani. The research contributes by developing an innovative method combining AHP-ROC and evaluation techniques, involving end users directly in testing the system, with the aim of improving decision accuracy, fertilizer selection efficiency, and supporting more effective and profitable rice farming management. The results show that the AHP and ROC-based DSS successfully improved fertilizer selection accuracy at UD. Binti Mitun Tani, with Urea being one of the main recommendations. The system also helps farmers consider cost factors and the suitability of fertilizers for soil conditions, thereby enhancing the efficiency of rice farming management. Testing results indicate that most respondents agree with the weight of criteria and the relevance of fertilizer alternatives. Urea was assessed as suitable for their needs and supports business goals.

Abstract

The Universitas Terbuka (UT) website serves as the primary platform for providing academic services and information to students, lecturers, and the general public. However, as the number of users and the complexity of digital services increase, User Experience (UX) becomes a crucial aspect that influences the effectiveness and user satisfaction in accessing information and utilizing available features. This study aims to evaluate and analyze the user experience of the Universitas Terbuka website using a combined approach, incorporating survey questionnaires and web performance analysis. The urgency of this research lies in the need to ensure that the UT website delivers an optimal experience for its users, particularly in terms of ease of navigation, access speed, information clarity, and responsiveness across different devices. With the growing reliance on digital systems in distance learning, UX evaluation becomes a strategic step in identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement. The novelty of this study lies in its holistic approach, which integrates subjective user feedback from surveys with objective web performance analysis. The findings of this research are expected to provide concrete recommendations for enhancing the UX quality of the Universitas Terbuka website, thereby supporting the effectiveness of distance learning and improving access to academic services.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) for selecting the most suitable catering vendor for the UT Business Center by employing three decision-making methods: Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Weighted Product (WP), alongside expert evaluation. Selecting an appropriate catering vendor is crucial to supporting university operations and events; therefore, the decision-making process must be based on objective and efficient criteria. Given the differences in the working principles of these three methods, it is essential to conduct a comparative analysis between AHP, SAW, and WP to determine the most suitable approach for catering vendor selection at the UT Business Center. The results of the study indicate varying levels of accuracy depending on the weighting scenario: Scenario 1 (Uniform Criterion Weights): Accuracy levels were AHP (83.33%), SAW (100%), and WP (100%). Scenario 2 (Expert-Determined Criterion Weights): Accuracy levels were AHP (58.83%), SAW (66.67%), and WP (66.67%).

Abstract

A higher education institution's website allows lecturers and students to search for necessary information online. Good web performance is essential to provide better service to users. This research focuses on analyzing and testing the performance of a university website to maximize its efficiency. Performance testing measures a website's effectiveness. In this study, we analyze the website of Universitas Terbuka (UT), known for its distance learning system. The goal is to assess the website’s performance using testing tools like GTMetrix and Pingdom, which automatically analyze web performance. These tools provide data on the website's performance, which is then processed into information about strengths, weaknesses, and potential solutions. The outcome includes a comparison of performance metrics from GTMetrix and Pingdom. This research contributes to evaluating UT’s website performance and offers insights to help developers enhance and optimize the application to the desired level.

Abstract

The current of wisma’s Universita Terbuka reservation system still faces various obstacles, especially related to data consistency and integrity anomalies. This problem causes errors in recording and confusion in the transaction process, such as duplication of invoice numbers, which in turn can reduce reporting accuracy. This research aims to design a basis data for the Open University guesthouse reservation system using the Basis data Life Cycle (DBLC) method. This method includes several stages, starting from needs analysis, conceptual, logical, and physical basis data design. The results show a well-structured and optimized basis data design, which supports the management of reservation data, check-in, check-out, and room reservation management. The normalization process to achieve Third Normal (3NF) ensures that the data is free from redundancy and remains consistent. The physical model of the basis data is implemented using SQL queries, which are ready to be applied to a Basis data Management System (DBMS). The designed basis data is expected to improve operational efficiency, record accuracy, and maintain data integrity in the Open University guesthouse reservation system. This research is also expected to contribute to the development of literature on systematic life cycle-based basis data design.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil survei evaluasi layanan bagi mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka (UT) di luar negeri, dengan fokus pada tingkat kepuasan dan implikasinya terhadap peningkatan kualitas layanan. Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada kebutuhan UT untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan jarak jauh mahasiswa di UT layanan luar negeri, yang menghadapi tantangan aksesibilitas dan dukungan akademik. Survei meliputi aspek aksesibilitas, responsivitas, kualitas materi pembelajaran, dan dukungan administratif, dengan hasil yang menunjukkan variasi tingkat kepuasan di berbagai aspek. Berdasarkan hasil survei, mayoritas responden merasa puas dengan layanan yang tersedia, meskipun ada beberapa area yang dapat ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi area yang perlu diperbaiki dan memberikan rekomendasi strategis untuk peningkatan layanan, seperti peningkatan aksesibilitas platform pembelajaran, penyediaan dukungan akademik yang andal dan responsif, percepatan layanan administratif, penyediaan panduan yang jelas, serta pengembangan materi pembelajaran yang relevan dan interaktif. Implementasi rekomendasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan UT bagi mahasiswa luar negeri dan memperkuat kepuasan mereka dalam mengikuti pendidikan jarak jauh. Luaran dari penelitian ini berupa pemetaan tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa serta rekomendasi perbaikan layanan UT, dengan kontribusi penting dalam mengoptimalkan layanan pendidikan jarak jauh bagi mahasiswa di UT layanan luar negeri.
