Abstract

This research aims to test the influence of good corporate governance (independent commissioners, institutional ownership, board of directors, and audit committees) and profitability on the firm value. This research was conducted because of the low GCG implementation in Indonesia. This study used multiple linear regression to test the influence between variables and Sobel tests to determine the mediation effect of profitability. The research was conducted on companies registered in LQ45 for the years 2015-2019. The data used in the study was 245 data. The results showed that independent commissioners and audit committees had a negative effect, the board of directors had a positive effect, and institutional ownership did not affect profitability. Direct testing of GCG's influence on the firm values showed that independent commissioners had a negative effect, institutional ownership had a positive effect, and the board of directors and audit committee did not affect the firm value. The results also showed that profitability could mediate the influence of GCG on the firm value except for institutional ownership variables. Further research is expected to increase the number of samples and use different measurements of the firm. Companies need to improve GCG to increase management transparency so that investors and creditors can make appropriate decisions about the company.

Abstract

This research adopts a dynamic capability lens to study how small business entrepreneurs try to survive and grow in the entrepreneurial ecosystem affected by covid-19. The research method is using a qualitative design, 5 MSMEs in Malang City have been interviewed to assess how the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Malang City has been affected by covid-19. This allows a contemporary and realistic understanding of how small entrepreneurs are adapting to crises. The findings suggest that the entrepreneurs in this study can leverage their capabilities in terms of how they scan the current business environment and make decisions accordingly. Furthermore, small business entrepreneurs adopt a flexible approach to be able to react to the unexpected changes of covid-19 and the affected market environment. Business agility will help entrepreneurs to respond to internal and external changes in an efficient manner. Many business functions cannot resume due to the covid-19 pandemic. Marketing techniques that were considered profitable and successful before 2020 will not develop now. This is because small businesses work with fewer resources and are under financial pressure. To get the most out of fewer resources is to adapt to more digital-based functions.

Abstract

Financial inclusion is essential, especially for small and micro-enterprises who often experience issues accessing financial institutions. This inclusion aims to eliminate all financial barriers, including price and non-price, to public access to financial services to reduce societal inequality. This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic financial inclusion on the capital growth of micro-enterprises in the Sumedang Regency. Employing descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS on primary data with 100 respondents from micro-enterprises who used financial services, the results show that respondents' average Islamic financial inclusion was 59 percent, above the national level. It also found that Islamic financial inclusion had a positive effect on the development of micro-enterprise capital, which indicates that people classified in the micro-business group have broad access to Islamic financial products and services might increase business capital. In addition, the influence of Islamic financial inclusion and mentoring variables on positive capital development means that any increase in the value of Islamic financial inclusion and mentoring will increase capital development.

Abstract

A study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of mindset, functionalization of positions on work motivation and interest in further studies in education staff at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 88 people with ASN status, the lowest graduates are Strata 1 and come from groups II-IV. This research basically wants to predict the effect of variables on variables in the research model that has been developed. The variables used in this study as a whole are latent variables (variables that cannot be measured directly). Based on these considerations, the data analysis in this study used the Structural Equation Model- Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach with the help of the WarpPLS 6.0 program. The results of the study show that all variables have a significant positive effect, both direct and indirect effects. This means that respondents have a good way of thinking in responding to the regulation of functionalization of positions, have good work motivation and are highly willing to carry out further studies. Keywords: Mindset, Functionalization of Position, Work Motivation and Interest in Further Studies Abstrak: Sebuah penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola pikir atau mindset, fungsionalisasi jabatan terhadap motivasi kerja dan minat studi lanjut pada tenaga kependidikan di Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana malik Ibrahim Malang.

Abstract

This study aims to test the influence of Islamic corporate governance and capital adequacy on the value of companies with Islamic social reporting as moderating variables. The data used in this study was obtained from islamic commercial bank data 2014-2020, using purposive sampling techniques obtained by 8 (eight) Islamic commercial banks that meet the criteria to be used as research samples. To test this research hypothesis, a multiple linear regression model was used with the help of the Eviews 10 program. Analytical techniques used in the study include stationarity tests, panel data regression tests, and classical assumption tests. Partial test results showed a positive and significant influence of Islamic Corporate Governance (ICG) and Islamic Social reporting (ISR) on the value of the company while capital adequacy had no significant effect on the value of the company. And the results of moderate regression analysis showed the result that ISR can moderate the relationship between ICG and company value whereas the relationship of capital adequacy with company value cannot be moderated by ISR.
