Abstract

Since its emergence in 1980s, Feminist Research Methodology has become a legitimate, relevant and popular research model. Its quality, and the validity of its findings are beyond contention, and over the years it has produced a significant output that has provided guidelines for policies central to modern society. For its founders and developers, Feminist Research Methodology is designed to study the social conditions of women in a sexist, ‘malestream’ and patriarchal society. Yet, this methodology is rarely used in studies dealing with women problems in Indonesia. Thus paper aims discuss FMR and its application of the model in divorce studies.

Abstract

A family is as a basic means of education toward children’s growth process. In onther words, children education in family, basically, is an educational process of growth and competence as well as performance from birth. In this context, a family plays an important role as a significant basic education for an upcoming education system. However, how does a case of woman partially live as a single parent functioning her educational system? In this context, a writer does research on what Islamic concepts of a family education are. Empirically and methodologically, how are educational systems supposed to be developed in a family education?; And how is the influence of a woman-single parent’s educational system to her children based on gender perspective?

Abstract

Realities of gender inequality often happened in our society life. These are not thought as a problem because of unawareness and insensitivity of it. One of them is stereotype or negative stigma to widow’s status. This is formed by social and cultural construction. Public views of widow’s image can be analyzed through social and culture as well as concept of gender perspective. Actually most of divorce cases, woman (wife) has more negative impact than a man side. Widow is also identical as second social status. In other gender inequalities, stereotype of widow and widower can be also analyzed if women have function as leader of a family. In fact, they are never categorized as a priority group in development context; the subject as a leader of family is measured by masculinity. It proves that domination of patriarchy culture still influence in many sectors.

Abstract

Kompleksitas fenomena yang terjadi di masyarakat sangatlah beragam, diantaranya adalah fenomena yang terjadi dalam kelompok terkecil dalam masyarakat ; keluarga. Dalam sebuah keluarga fenomena gugat cerai merupakan masalah yang sering dijumpai, yakni seorang istri yang mengajukan gugatan perceraian kepada Pengadilan Agama karena alasan impotensi. Impotensi diartikan ketidakberdayaan pria melakukan hubungan seks melalui alat kelaminnya. Masalah impotensi dalam beracara di Pengadilan Agama dapat dijadikan salah satu pertimbangan hakim dalam memutuskan perkara perceraian, hal ini karena sudah sesuai dengan pasal 116 huruf (e) Kompilasi Hukum Islam (KHI).

Abstract

Violence on women will never stop! This statement could be right looking at the recent condition experienced by women. There are at least two factors causing women always become the victim of many violence and are always marginalized. The first factor because of the patriarchy culture system and the second one, because of the inappropriate interpretation of Koran verses.  Those two factors really have placed women to be weak in many aspects of life. Moreover, they only have low education. They become passive and dependent. They are even as weak as their physic compared with men. That’s why, they are easy to become the victim of many violence. Danger is always staying in front of them. But, knowing about this, can’t women free themselves from this bad condition? The answer is clear; Yes, they can! But what to do? There is only one thing that can help women free from being colonialized. What’s that? “Super Women” ! Right, “Super Women” is the only answer for them to be free from being the victim of many violence and being marginalized in many aspects of life. But, to become “Super Women” is not easy.  To be “Super Women”, they must get high education. However, there is nothing impossible in this world. That’s why, they must educate themselves soon.  Using the knowledge they get they can change their world. Next, their life won’t be filled with story of becoming the victim of many violence or being marginalized, on the reverse, they  could manage their own life to be “Super Women”. And only by becoming “Super Women”, based on the religion corridor women would be successful in career, social organization and household fully. Finally, they could maximize their life to be useful for themselves, family, society and the country.Key Terms: violence on women, education, “Super Women”.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the reason of Pesantren Bahrul Ulum family of Tambak Beras Jombang to participate in family planning program, to decide participating in the program and the implication of the program on establishing harmonious family among the pesantren family.The result of this research reveals that    the reason of participating family planning program can be classified into several aspects such as health, psychology, economy, religion and education. Nonetheless, health factor is the most dominant factor. To make decision to participate in the program, the family of the pesantren build intensive two-side communication (so-called ”musyawarah”). There are two implications (positive and negative) of famili planning program in relation with establishing harmonious family. One of the positive implication is the understanding that harmonious family may be established if a wife (mother) is not busy with domestic affair due to pregnancy and giving birth many times. As a result, the parents may concern with children’s education.Then, for the negative implication is that health problem  affecting to the spouse relationship which tend to be uncomfortable.

Abstract

Divorce and the death of spouse can be a painful and sometimes delibitating experiences.However, bereaved individuals differ markedly in how much and how long they grieve.positives emotions may be most benefecial, however when they are at the time of stress. Positive emotions contribute to psychological well-being via more effective coping. The experience of positive emotiopns functions to assist reilient individuals in their ability to recover effectively from bereavement.

Abstract

The fundamental difference between men and women is seen in terms of  biology and anatomy. Viewed from the aspect of biological male has advantages compared with women. Men have a sturdy and strong muscle, while women are more delicate. Anatomically, men do not have a uterus for pregnancy, while women have a uterus so that it is possible to conceive and bear children. With the difference that the role of men and women also differ. Some argue that the role of men is to earn a living for his family, while the task of women is pregnant, giving birth and raising children, as well as housewives. But this role is changing. Abstract

Percieve of justice is most important factor to support an employ’s activ- ity. Percieve Justice has influenced to health, organization commitment, job satisfaction and productivity. In fact most discrimination toward women employees has accurs. But, teoritically, women are more tolerant than men in injustice situation. It is cause in our society has sex role, has derived what kind behaviors that does by women and men. Abstract

In terms of Indonesian women’s health services are still treated unfairly and still are the number two. It can be seen from the report reporting Indonesia Human  Development Report 2005 on maternal mortality rate (MMR) delivery, which is currently listed at number 307 out of every 100,000 live births. This shows that the government has not seriously and equitable in the provision of health services particularly for women. Maternal mortality can be used as indicators of poor health services received by mothers and children and low access to information owned by mother and child.Keywords: Perempuan, Human Development Report, Angka Kematian Ibu, Indikator dan Kesehatan.
