Abstract

Patients of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) basically have some symptoms, such as fatigue, dyspnea, and high mortality contributing to affects on their quality of life. Various factors may be related to quality of life, such as age, gender, education, occupation, and NYHA (New York Heart Association) level. This research aims at identifying and explaining demography factors related to quality of life on Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients. This research uses descriptive correlation and cross sectional design with 62 patients of Dr. Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta as the sample. Data obtained by using demographic data questionnaire and the SF-36 version of Indonesian. Data were analyzed with Spearman's test. The results showed respondents with a median age 51.14 years (SD = 12.40). Most patients are male (71%), unemployed (69%). and less educated (53%). Quality of life has correlation with NYHA class (p value= 0,001), educational (p value= 0,001), and age (p value= 0,014). There is no correlation between quality of life and gender and occupation. It can be concluded that NYHA class, educational, and age are independent factors related to quality of life

A cross sectional study invited 155 nurses to participate. The total sampling technique was applied. Chi Square test tested the hypothesis. The result showed that the nurse’s workload tended to high level (58.7%), while mostly the implementation of patient safety was unfavorable (60.6%). Chi-Square test reported X2=6.807 (p= 0.0009). There is a significant relationship between the nurse’s workload and the implementation of patient safety in the hospital inpatient Tugurejo Semarang.

Abstract

Toilet training is needed by children to control urination and defecation. The failure of toilet training can be caused by inaccuracy teaching children. The techniques used in conducting toilet training are oral technique and modeling technique. This research was to examine the effectiveness of oral technique and modeling technique for a successful toilet training for the toddler. This study used quasi-experiment with two group pre and post-test static design. The total sample of 30 toddlers at Desa Pamijen Kecamatan Baturraden was invited into the study and was divided into two group. The hypotheses were tested by paired t-test. Results showed age range from  2.1 to 2.6 years old. The parent education was mostly  senior high school (40%). The oral technique achievement was 33.33 %, while the modeling was 80%. There is a significant difference between the effectiveness of oral technique and modeling technique for successful toilet training as indicated by the disparity between increasing score average of two techniques.  The increasing toileting ability average (0.4933) and t=14.929 (p=0.000) the modeling technique is bigger than the increasing toileting ability average (0.2000) and t=3.873 (p=0,002) oral technique. It concludes that modeling technique is more effective than the oral technique for the successful toilet training for toddler.

Abstract

Preeclampsia and Eclampsia are prolonged pregnancy complications, with typical symptoms such as hypertension, edema and proteinuria. The dominant factors related to the incidence of preeclampsia has not reveled yet, therefor appropriate prevention and intervention efforts are needed. Idenfitying risk factors of preeclampsia are expected to prevent and to control risk factors appropriately to decrease mothers and infants  morbidity and mortality  caused by preeclampsia. This research was to identify determinants of maternal factors (age, gravidity, history of hypertension and ANC (antenatal care) to the incidence of preeclampsia. The study was an observational study with case control design to analyze the relationship between determinant Tractors (age, gravidity, history of hypertension and ANC) and the preeclampsia. The case was pregnant and in labor women with preeclampsia, while The Control was mothers without peeclampsia since pregnancy to delivery. Following then, exposure determinant factors to incidence of preeclampsia was examined. The Renault showed that risk factors were associated with the incidence of preeclampsia included age, history of hypertension and a history of preeclampsia (p value <0.05). The history of hypertension was the riskiest factor by OR 6,42. It was expected that health professionals, especially midwives are capable to provide high quality antenatal care to guarantee early detection of obstetric complications.>

The average score of CI’s perception of IPE was 83.63 %. Meanwhile, the average score of implementation of mentoring collaboration was 81.83 %. There was a significant relationship between perception of IPE and mentoring collaboration among CIs (p = 0.000 and r= 0.313). It concluded that there was a relationship between perception of IPE and the implementation of mentoring collaboration by CIs in Banyumas Hospital
