Abstract

Abstract -Library as a vehicle for lifelong learning, informative, research, and recreational to improve the intelligence and empowerment of the nation. Library in an educational world order serves to support the National Education System. The purpose of this paper is to design an entry access to support the improvement of the function of facilities in learning and research in library University of Surabaya. The learning method is qualitative method. Through the research, it is known what need is needed to redesign the library entrance. From the results of the study, will be designed the entrance of the library consisting of a desk monitor, access doors, and decorative cabinets. Which is where the entrance itself using fingerprint technology to facilitate the library of the University of Surabaya more easily obtain the data of library visitors both from within the environment and outside the environment of the University of Surabaya. So that the use of the entrance in the library University of Surabaya more optimal.

Abstract

Abstract - Library as an academic support should have some complete, organize, and fuctional components than can support in learning, research, and community service. Makerspace will be added to Surabaya University library. Makerspace is a place for sharing tools, knowledge, and ideas. Library will not be a silent space anymore, but an open place to expression and develop creativity. The purpose of this research is to design makerspace table in Surabaya University for improving the facilities by using qualitative method through a book or internet and quantitative method by interview. The result of this research is a makerspace table with modern-futurictic concept and have many features to simplify the user, such a lighting, cutting mat, dustbin, stationery space, book shelves.

Abstract

A container for a university to have the purpose of providing services to students of University of Surabaya in addition to boost the productivity of the workers themselves. The Sirkulasi desk is one of the parts in the library on the table itself is doing a lot of important activities such as collecting out the books borrowed by students. However, the library Sirkulasi table that is currently lacking needs with the understanding of the user itself. Given the library of the University of Surabaya has been since 1995 where the world increasingly changed as well as lifestyle pemustaka. Formerly the internet is no longer developing today that can be accessed almost anywhere. With the current internet, look at the library as it began to be forgotten. How to change the design becomes an important thing that needs to be done for the function. Knowing the modern lifestyle continues to grow rapidly, conducted various observations and interviews to find out the design concept that will be implemented on the private table that will be redesigned to be realized into a prototype to boost something that is in the processThe purpose of this research is to design the circulation table for workers and students of University of Surabaya Library as an effort to improve the performance and productivity of workers and students. In research on this design method used is qualitative method that is IDI on some putskawan and some student which is in Library of Universtas Surabaya, And Observation which done by observing Activity Study done at circulation table. From the results of research that will be designed table of circulation in the area of the Library to meingkatakan Productivity of the workers own advantages that is, the new form with the concept of Futursitik, but now it has a larger workplace and equipment arranged that simplify the workmanship.

Abstract

Abstract-The limitation of land and the high demand for land cause Surabaya’s people stay in narrow house. So there is a dual function on the room in that house, like living room which is also used as afamily room. So that, children often play in the living room and make the parents overwhelmed when the guest is coming. So that, this furniture is designed, that is coffee table as kids toys storage for compact house. This research done by in depth interview and observation method which is done on young family that live in small house in Surabaya as a case study this research. The designed product is guest table (coffee table) that also used as toys storage that raised the scandinavian design theme, where the design is focus on the function without rule out the aesthetic value of the product. This guest table (coffee table) is expected suitable with any livingroom, so this coffee table used neutral color, which is white and brown / cream. This coffee table have a shape that suitable for narrow house, where this product is not too takes place or space. Then with this product is expected can help answering the problems people that live in small house in Surabaya, where the limited space in house is no longer an obstacle to having a neat and beautiful house.

Abstract

Genetic diseases or genetic disorders are a condition caused by abnormalities by one or more genes that cause a clinical phenotype condition or in simpler language is a deviation from the general nature or nature of the average human being, and is a disease that arises due to malfunctioning factors - genetic factors that regulate the structure and physiological functions of the human body. In this study, the potential lives of people with genetic disorders will be used as a philosophy in batik with new motives. The purpose of this study is to provide education containing a moral message about the potential life of people with genetic disorders to the wider community in a new way, namely beredukasi through batik and then be applied to life style products. The method used in this report is qualitative method in the form of interview result, and quantitative method in the form of series of experimental process. From the experiments conducted is to provide alternatives to the molecular form stilasi process to parties who know about biology. Taking the concept of molecular form due to genetic disorder the factor is its molecules, such as DNA, proteins and chromosomes. Then choose the alternative form of stylation to be the design process isen and batik. On Selection of batik products to conduct interviews to owners of SMEs Batik to get advice. And finally the selected product is shoes. Shoes are designed in the form of "plan toe derby" type.

Abstract

Malangan mask is one-of Indonesia’s traditional culture which comes from Malang city, precisely coming from the kingdom of Kanjuruhan. Formerly, Malangan mask is used for traditional ceremonies, but by the growing of the era Malangan mask is used for entertain people using folklore. The characters that are famous in that folklore are Panji Asmorobangun and Dewi Sekartaji. By the growing of the era, foreign cultures are coming to Indonesia. It can be seen by young generation that love foreign cultures and modern cultures so that traditional culture from Indonesia faded. To resolve that problem, we begin this study with the purpose of uniting the Indonesia’s traditional culture with modern cultures. A lifestyle products are one of modern cultures. Lifestyle products grow with the era. One of lifestyle product which is popular to use are shoes. From the study, we try to put the Traditional cultures, which is Malangan mask, into a modern product which is shoes. The shoes are casual shoes using genuine leather for the material. This leather shoes design used Vigilant trend, a sub-theme of trend in 2018. Brand names for this lifestyle products is Piedre, which is an acronym of Piece De Resistance that have meaning masterpiece.

Abstract

Abstract - Lack of functional effectiveness and convenience of OPAC station facilities that doesn't look neat can reduce the aesthetics and less appealling for the library visitor to visit the library. Therefore it is necessary to redesign the furniture as supporting OPAC station facilities in accordance with the needs of the library of the University of Surabaya. The purpose of this research is to redesign the furniture of OPAC station library of the University of Surabaya as an effort to improve the aesthetics and effectiveness of facility function in learning and research. The method used in this design is qualitative method with Focus Group Discussion and observation in second floor of University of Surabaya's library. From the results of research and design, it is known that the furniture for OPAC station designed with modular and knockdown system will improve the effectiveness of the function of the facility because the product components can be removed to adjust the development of devices that will be used in the future such as computers with built-in CPU or touchscreen device. With a more closed design can make OPAC station more tidy so it can improve the aesthetics of the furniture product itself and the library space.

Abstract

Abstract – Inline skate is one of the emerging sports in Indonesia, especially among children. This is seen from the binding growth of inline skate community that has spread over 30 communities throughout Indonesia. While going to play, the children carry a variety of inline skate equipment along with their other personal needs so it takes a means of carrying a bag that can meet their needs. The research method used is a mixture that includes literature review, interviews, observation, and behavioral studies. Interviews were conducted with inline skate communities, designers as well as bag manufacturers, parent users, as well as tailor bags. Observations were conducted to find out the inline skate bags on the market, as well as behavioral studies conducted to find out the activities children do when going inline skating. This research produces a prototype in the form of functional bag for inline skating acitivity for children aged 8-12 years. With a compact shape, the bag can adjust the shape of the skates and the storage on the bag can be more leverage, making it easier for children to carry it. Then, the bag is also designed waterproof and ventilated system back so safe to use exercise in the outdoor area. In addition, the product also comes with product management, branding, and cost analysis calculations so that the product is ready to be marketed.

Abstract

academic cheating is an act that violates the rules by using a variety of ways. The way is not allowed in academic tasks because it would interfere with the process of assesment. Academic cheating is a complex thing. A wide variety of factors can affect academic fraud. One of the factors that influence academic cheating is religiosity. The study aims to determine the correlation betwen religiosity and academik cheating in terms of gender in class X and XI of the SMA AL-ISLAM KRIAN period 2016-2017. The research is quantitative with accidental sampling technique of convenience sampling. 426 subjects the students of class X dan XI. There are 142 male and 284 female. Data analiyzed using Spearman correlation with SPSS ( Statisticalprogram for yhe social sciences) version 13.0. Results from this study that there is a negative correlation between academic cheating and religiosity r= -0.097 (p=0.046), and there are differences in academic cheating when viewed from the gender sig 0.000, so many factors in addition to religiosity affect academic cheating.
