Abstract

STIKOM Surabaya News or commonly called SSNews is a campus magazine of STIKOM Surabaya that containing a variety of news and information about both the activities around campus and variety of general information. SSNews printed version is have to form as a magazine that can be obtained on campus, but the number of copies printed is relatively limited to meet the needs of readers, specially those on either campus environment for students, faculty or staff. Therefore SSNews have another alternative to launch an online version that can be accessed through the site http://ssnews.stikom.edu/ which can be accessed easily via the computer. Currently readers can only access the address of the website through the browser on mobile phones so as to make the readers should be online to enjoy every news content on SSNews, moreover not all of it can display websites very well and comfortable. Since the majority of readers are mobile phone users, the authors offer a new alternative for the reader by making an application that called SSNews Mobile which provides a new experience in reading the news content of SSNews. By using SSNews Mobile, readers can enjoy SSNews contents with relatively cheaper and more comfortable. Abstract

An admission is a part of structural management at STIKOM Surabaya that has main function as marketing and sales. At the time of carrying out activities, Penmaru’s often have difficulties. Difficulty that frequently happened is lack of coordination between coordinator and Person In Charge (PIC) on activities preparation. Besides that, another difficulty is there is no up to date data that can describes completion of each activities, so that on activities implementation frequently not performing well. Workflow is a Information Technology (IT) that using electronic system to organizing and monitoring business process. Web-Based Application with workflow application used as monitoring and controlling Penmaru’s activities. Based on blackbox testing and evaluation result against application user respondents, found that this activities controlling system can monitoring and controlling perform of each activities. Even application or system have been made to and capable to monitoring and controlling with activities warning by e-mail and SMS. Abstract

First aid is a technical staff in needs to save lives after the accident happened or medical emergency before its being sent to the nearest hospital. It is necessary because the early minutes after the accident is critical for the victiom. Generally, after the accident or medical emergency, the people near the victim directly calls an ambulance or send them to the nearest hospital. The problem is when they’re waiting for the ambulance to come or on the way to the hospital, the victim who is having critical emergency condition needs a basic life support before the medical treatment in the hospital. But, not every people knows how to do the first aid properly. One of the solution to overcome that problem is by making a first aid visual application based on mobile for the general society. This application is used when there’s an accident or medical emergency and can be used as an learning first aid application. And also, it informs the nearest hospital as a reference after the first-aid take place. After the impelementation and evaluation that has been done, this application that has been built are able to inform how to do the first-aid properly when the accident happened or medical emergency and able to use as an learning first-aid application and also, can inform the nearest hospital that can be used as a reference after the first-aid take place.   Keywords : Mobile application, First-aid, J2ME.

Abstract

Weight-bearing exercise (fitness) has now become one of the urban lifestyle in the world, especially in Indonesia. The slogan "Healthy Life Begins with" being promoted by the Government appears to have been understood by the people of Indonesia. But not everyone can make fitness a healthy lifestyle due to the limitations of science and knowledge about the world of fitness itself. This has been anticipated by the provider of fitness gym, in this study conducted at the Atlas Sports Club Surabaya, namely by providing the Personal Trainer (PT), that is, those who assist customers in running fitness is good and right. But to be able to use the services provided by Personal Trainer where providers will cost more expensive than the cost to become a member (member). Based on the description, then be made based visualization applications mobile fitness guide that can help the member fitness Atlas Sportss Club Surabaya who do not use the services of Personal Trainer. This application guide contains a fitness movement that displayed visually through text and pictures and videos, nutritional guidance, control and alarm schedule a private workout scheduled gym classes at Atlas Sports Surabaya during the next month, and can provide information about the world of fitness the form of articles and tips that can be accessed easily and can be renewed. With this application the mobile phone can now be used as a medium of interaction, especially the visual guidance of mobile-based fitness guide. Abstract

Students with problems requiring special attention on the problem, therefore Counseling (BK) on duty to brief the students to help solve existing problems. Limited number of tasks and supervising teacher be an obstacle in the process of monitoring troubled students. Similarly, parents who are still difficulties in monitoring the activities of their children in school.Certainty Factor is a clinical parameter values ​​are given to demonstrate the magnitude of the trust. Determination of troubled students is done by giving the value of CF (Certainty Factor) on three criteria: academic, and violations of the student profile that produces a combination of the CF as a conclusion about troubled students.Web-based application with the application of Certainty Factor is used as a means for monitoring the state of students as well as SMS Gateway technology is used as a media service of parents in monitoring their children in school activities. With this application, especially the school Counseling can monitor and obtain reports the troubled condition of students and facilitate parents to get information about the activities of their children in school. Abstract

Early today, the development of information technology is growing fast, and no more limit for newspaper, audio visual, and electronic. Based on the results of survey that have did by the writer on mathematic subject in odd semester of XII science class at SMAN 4 Surabaya have get a data that 55% from 120 students are still have average score less than 60 for matrix subject, and beside that a bored on this subject because there weren’t interactive class when this subject is running as standard comprehension of the subject has teached. One of the subject that carry out this information technology development is education subject, that’s using web on learning. So, there is a chance to build a design of learning application based on web by multimedia learning model. Based on the system evaluation of testing and questionaire are did, that average for each scoring criteria from three criterias have scored that shows 30% of average for the “very good” scoring criteria, 60% for the “good” scoring criteria, 10% for the “bad” scoring criteria. So, the matrix learning application based on web by model multimedia learning model can be used at SMAN 4 Surabaya and obtained learning result well. Abstract

Agricultural potential is a valuable asset owned by the District Jombang mainly agricultural potential in sub Megaluh. Agriculture is one of the major sectors of the tipping point of regional development. Therefore, the Department of Agriculture District to build an institutional Jombang madiri farmers in collaboration with Agribusiness Sub Terminal which houses and markets all the crops of farmers who are members of the independent farmer. One of the problems that occur in Agribusiness Sub Terminal is the lack of certainty about the availability of food commodities and thus a potential Information system of agricultural crops in the district Jombang who can provide Information in detail. Information is needed about the number of stocks of agricultural commodities dikabupaten megaluh, in an area where STA can get in food crops, food crops are available in each area, whichever area is the highest producer of food crops, as well as who is included in the institutional independent farmers. This Information system will assist in structuring the existing system in which wish Agribusiness Sub Terminal will be able to assist in the management and storage of data in Agribusiness Sub Terminal is particularly associated with the data of institutional farmers. Not only that, it antinya Information system will provide Information about the potential of food crops in sub Megaluh. This system will provide Information needed by the data in the Form of Agribusiness Sub Terminal stock number of agricultural crops, data pests / diseases that attack crops, data infrastructure and the existing infrastructure and the data group of independent farmers. From all these data produced a report containing the agricultural potential of Information increases and decreases in crop production as well as the cause. Agricultural potential report is used by the District Agriculture Office. Jombang to take the best steps in the next growing season. Abstract

RMIB is a test designed to measure people´s interest based on their attitude towards a job. This method is combining people´s intellectual ability (skill) with interest and talent, this method could help them discovering a suitable job based on their interest and talent. However, there are some obstacles when the psychologist will apply this method, such as; number of participant, time and place if they are from different city. Therefore, an application has been designed in order that the psychologist can find it easier when they are doing the test. As a result, the clients coming from other cities or other islands can take a part on the test . From 10 people including the respondent and the psychologist, 80% of them stated that they are agree with the existence of this application. This application is completely helpful and easy to use. Moreover, it is supported with chatting facility which simplifies the consultation process in which the client is able to consult the psychologist indirectly or without face-to-face activity. Abstract

The problems currently faced by STIKOM Career Center (SCC) is not having a record of their competence by alumni and corporate data, the absence of a means for performing filtering based on competency of graduates to find appropriate jobs that SCC does not have information about the competencies alumni and the number of competencies required by the company. Based on these problems it is necessary an information system web based job which has a function as a means to accommodate the data of alumni and their competencies and corporate data and their jobs will be offered, as well as the competence graduates can do the filtering based on the calculation method Simple Additive weighting (SAW) where each competency will have weight and can generate reports on the number of competencies required by the company. Web-based information systems can be used to manage corporate data and competencies alumni, capable of displaying a list of alumni in accordance with its competence and result in a report on the number of competencies required by the company. With the web-based information system, the flow of information regarding the competence graduates can be channeled in the search for a suitable job.
