Abstract

Pasuruan is one of the regencies in East Java province has many attractions but not yet terekpose perfectly. Pasuruan not only has a beautiful nature, but also a tourist destination worth to visit. The study was conducted using qualitative research is to conduct interviews, observation, documentation, and literature to obtain data to support the drafting. Data were analyzed using multiple stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. the concept of "Original" presented to provide information to the target audience that Ranu Grati has a natural beauty and beautiful and natural panorama that can be enjoyed by families who want to travel to Ranu Grati. Results from logo creation and media campaign against Ranu Grati is an attempt Travel introduction lake Ranu Grati Pasuruan, East Java, to attract tourists to visit. Abstract

Blok Coklat Village is one of the natural-based tourist destinations that have facilities include; cocoa nurseries, cocoa plantations, cocoa bean dryers, chocolate processing plants, cooking classes, brown outlets, chocolate cafes, meeting rooms, fish therapies and outlets selling chocolate products.Blitar Coklat Village was developed by 48 (forty eight) farmer groups in Blitar district and incorporated as Cooperative named Gapoktan "Guyub Santosa". Blitar Kampung Coklat Plantation is currently growing and frequently visited by local, national and mancanagera tourists.Tourists visiting Kampung Coklat Blitar are given insights on the cultivation of cocoa plants ranging from cocoa plant breeding, ripe cocoa seeding, the drying process of cocoa beans to the processing of cocoa beans into delicious processed chocolate.Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that: first, the Blitar Coklat Village logo does not describe the visual identity as a company characteristic. Second, the logo of Kampung Coklat Blitar has similarities with other company logos. Third, the logo of Kampung Coklat does not describe the vision and mission of the Kampung Coklat company set by the board, which is to build an intelligent, independent, empowered and prosperous Indonesian community.Therefore it is necessary to redesign the logo of Kampung Coklat Blitar which describes the visual identity and vision - the mission of Kampung Coklat as the characteristics of the company, so that in the long term it can improve the image or image of the more developed and advanced Kampong Coklat company, for the development of natural education based tourism, attracting many local, national, even foreign tourists.Keywords: logo redesign, Chocolate Village Identity, Chocolate Village Vision, Corporate Image

Abstract

The book is a print media that plays a role to provide educational information to all circles of society, pop-up books are books that contain an interactive element when opened and as if there is an object or object that emerged from a pop-up book that provides a visualization of Yang Interesting. In the design of this pop-up book will discuss about the cultural heritage monument located in the city of Surabaya are still many children who do not know the story behind the history of the monument.With the design of the pop-up book of monuments in Surabaya it aims to introduce the history that is on the monument in Surabaya in the form of a pop-up book. By doing research approach to be more focused, hence this research use qualitative research method through collecting data obtained from interview, observation and documentation. Abstract

Guna Guna Snack is one of the local food producers in Surabaya. Guna Guna Snack become signature’s of Surabaya since early 2012. The problem is, at this time there are many competitors offer the same products as Guna Guna Snack. So, to attract attention and introduce products to consumers requires their visual communication design such as media promotion to communicate a message for introduce product of Guna Guna Snack and to differentiate Guna Guna Snack with the other signature’s of Surabaya. The research methodology that is used a qualitative methodology with data collection through observation, interviews, documentation, literature, existing studies, and competitors studies. The result of these research will be made a visual communication design such as media promotion in three categories: Above The Line (ATL), Below The Line (BTL), and Through The Line (TTL). With youthful concept and visual displays based on pop art, hopefully it can  be representing the face of Guna Guna Snack. Abstract

Bedhaya Ketawang is a traditional dance which has existed since the Kingdom of Mataram, and  it is one of the cultures in Indonesia. Bedhaya Ketawang is a sacred dance for predecessors, from the previous kings to the future ones. However, people usually misinterpret the meaning of Bedhaya Ketawang as time goes by. Therefore, a research to create a reference book about Bedhaya Ketawang as a part of history of culture which should be protected. The technique of collecting the data used is through observation, interview, and the study of literature, the study of competitor, and documentation. Each data collected has an important role to the emerged case on designing the reference book of Bedhaya Ketawang using the technique of Digital Watercolour, Illustration for teenagers around 18 to 21 years old as cultural observation efforts, so it requires a lot of accurate data which the result can be responsible. The data is used to find out the initial concept of designing the reference book of Bedhaya Ketawang.The result of the reference book of Bedhaya Ketawang  and media implementation has had the elements which are informative from the background of the art to the meanings in the aspects of Bedhaya Ketawang. Based on the concept, the keyword used is Supportive which supposed to be the media reference that can get the positive responses for audiences, which are teenagers from 18 to 21 years old.

Abstract

Abstract: Medicinal currently almost alienated and less attractive to teens because of the large reduction of land occurred and the emergence of a wide range of modern processed food. This happens due to lack of awareness to appreciate and preserve the original heritage of Indonesia. Medicinal include one legacy that must be preserved, therefore the purpose of this study was to design a photography book medicinal portrait with environmental engineering as a means of introduction to adolescents. Medicinal is part of the culture in Indonesia where the plant is located. In the midst of the massive land reduction and fast food that presents a wide range of selection, medicinal began to be forgotten among teenagers. From the analysis of these data, obtained keyword "essential" (something that is very important). The main concept can also be interpreted as the most prominent of the rival, through the selection of design minimalism medicinal expected to be more prominent than any other product or any other modern processed food is more popular today. Adolescent disinterest towards medicinal caused by the absence of the introduction to them. Medicinal also a cultural diversity depends on its type. Currently medicinal've lost identity or less popular among teenagers. Abstract

Indonesia has many cultural heritages, one of them is keris. But many do not know about the process of making keris, but behind the process of making kris and kris itself there are values  of life. This  is based on the results of interviews conducted on mpu kris making, teachers of art and culture experts history. The lack of knowledge on keris causes the low appreciation of the community, especially the children in Solo about the kris and its manufacturing process. Abstract

Abstract: Surabaya known as City of Heroes since the 10th November incident which known as Heroes Day. The three weeks of war that held on Surabaya many years ago is well known for the biggest war against the foreign nation since the declaration of independent. About 6000-16.000 warriors died, 200 civilians evacuate, and about 2000 peoples from the opponent killed on that incident. It is very equitable if in the future the government established the 10th November incident as the Heroes Day.The fact, not everyone, especially people in Surabaya, knows the people behind the battle. This fact based on the survey that held in 4 junior high schools in Surabaya. The result shows that 63.75% from 80 students can not mention any 10th  November heroes beside Bung Tomo. The lack of knowledge about local heroes can cause the lack of appreciatioin amongst the student in Surabaya. According to that problem, then the goal of this research is to design an educational media in the form of illustration book with aquarelle techniques as an attempt to introduce the people behind the 10th November incident towards junior high school students in Surabaya.  Keywords: Illustration Book, Heroes

Abstract

Museum is one of essential parts regarding tourism industrial especially for historical and cultural tourism. One of the museum that existed in East Java is MuseumNegeri Mpu Tantular that legitimately established at July 25th 1937. This museum owns numerous historical collection. Beside the existed collections, it has special considered collection coming from various zone. However, the collections’ great quantity frequently makes the visitor don’t pay much attention to the special considered collections. According to the aforementioned statement, visual communication through photography book which explains the distinctive collections is clearly needed. This kind of book is expected to clearly and completely inform to the visitor not only about the origin but also the background history from each distinctive collection which is owned by Museum Negeri Mpu Tantular. The method used by utilizing a qualitative research method that starts from collecting data through interviews, observation, documentation, study litelatur, study competitors, until the conclusion. Resulting design photography book with key massage "masterpiece" that has superior meanings or different from the others. Abstract

Abstract: CV. Prawara Dwi Persada is a company that runs in the field of architecture and interior design. This newcomer company that runs in business of architecture, need an effort to build a strong identity and image in order to create brand awareness of the company. Then, the act of rebranding as an effort to create brand awareness with the creation of a new identity and promotional media such as a logo for the company, stationery sets, print ads, and website is necessary. The purpose of this final assignment is to rebranding CV. Prawara Dwi Persada which will adjust the vision and mission of the company and provide a fresh visual appearance than previous branding. To be able producing draft and appropriate design, it takes several stages such as interviews, observation, data collection, the creative strategy from CV. Prawara Dwi Persada and then continued to the process of designing. The keywords that has been obtained from these stages is the "treasure". This final assignment report produces logo, print media advertising, stationery sets, and a website, which will be submitted to the company owner of CV. Prawara Dwi Persada.
