The growth of image databases in many domains, including fashion, biometric, graphic design, architecture, etc. has increased rapidly. Content Based Image Retrieval System (CBIR) is a technique used for finding relevant images from those huge and unannotated image databases based on low-level features of the query images. In this study, an attempt to employ 2nd level Wavelet Based Color Histogram (WBCH) on a CBIR system is proposed. Image database used in this study are taken from Wang’s image database containing 1000 color images. The experiment results show that 2nd level WBCH gives better precision (0.777) than the other methods, including 1st level WBCH, Color Histogram, Color Co-occurrence Matrix, and Wavelet texture feature. It can be concluded that the 2nd Level of WBCH can be applied to CBIR system.

The demand for electrical energy is increasing in most areas in the world. Unstable fossil fuel price and its rapid depletion have led to an intensive research on new energy source and energy conversion. This paper presents the performance of the energy harvesting which focuses on the experimental work to emulate energy harvesting from the rainwater by utilizing a Pico - hydro approach installed to a high building. NACuM core DB-370F DC generators, 1000 litres water tank, 0.5 inch diameter piping system used in two different configurations with three different head setups. The result shows a huge energy harvesting potential obtained from the system and rainwater with maximum 261 milliwatts despite the hardware’s limitation in the setup. Hance, contributes to the cost-efficient due to its small in size, environmentally friendly, and hassle-free maintenance.

The development of this application has a goal to give people who don’t have any idea of how to keep an ideal body weight and to maintain it by having controlled food intakes and exercises. This application is designed by using a Waterfall Model, a 5-phase model that is Communication, Planning, Modeling, Construction, and Deployment starting from as the aforementioned steps. Based on the responds we get from distributing questionnaire, many people didn’t know how to exercise properly and didn’t bother to check the calories of their food. Their weight is also a problem because most of them still have an Overweight or Underweight status. From those responds, we can conclude that our application will indeed help people to get and maintain their ideal body weight.

The ability of self-adaptive software in responding to change is determined by contextual requirements, i.e. a requirement in capturing relevant context-atributes and modeling behavior for system adaptation. However, in most cases, modeling for self-adaptive software is does not take into consider the requirements evolution based on contextual requirements. This paper introduces an approach through requirements modeling languages directed to adaptation patterns to support requirements evolution. The model is prepared through contextual requirements approach that is integrated into MAPE-K (monitor, anayze, plan, execute - knowledge) patterns in goal-oriented requirements engineering. As an evaluation, the adaptation process is modeled for cleaner robot. The experimental results show that the requirements modeling process has been able to direct software into self-adaptive capability and meet the requirements evolution.

This paper analyzes the weight of impact factors on selection the antenna places for mobile telecommunication system in Jordan. The new technique plays a lead role in divided area and selects the place of antennas' sites. The main objective of this research is to minimize the antenna numbers in order to reduce the cost. Research follows flowcharting categories and stages as: The first stage aim to classify the effective factors on the: signal radius, better position of antenna from candidate points, reserved area, and non-preferring position. The second stage focuses on finding the effective weight of these factors on the decision. The third stage suggest the new proposed approach by implement the MCLP and P-center problems in linear function. The last stage has the pseudo code for the proposed approach, where the proposed approach provides the solution that helps the planners in telecommunication industry and in related government agencies make informed position of the antennas.

The aim of this research was to select and identify user influence on Twitter data. In identification stage, the method proposed in this study was matrix Twitter approach, sentiment analysis, and characterization of the opinion leader. The importan characteristics included external communication, accessibility, and innovation. Based on these characteristics and information from Twitter data through matrix Twitter and sentiment analysis, a algorithm of skyline query was constructed for the selection stage. Algorithm of skyline query selected user influence by comparing with other users according to values of each characteristic. Thus, user influence was indicated as user that was not influenced by other users in any combination of skyline objects. The use of MapReduce framework model in identification and selection stage, support whole operation where Twitter had big size data and rapid changes. The results in identification and selection of user influence exhibited that MapReduce framework minimized the execution time, whereas in parallel skyline query could reveal user influence on the data.

To verify whether the annual mosaic image of MTB model is acceptable for further digital analysis, it is necessary to evaluate the visual interpretability. The MTB model is an effort to integrate multi-scene and multi-temporal data, to obtain a minimum cloud cover mosaic image in locations that are often covered by clouds and haze. This study is to evaluate the interpretability of the annual mosaic image for analysis of the land cover changes. The data used are the images of 2015, 2016, and 2017 covers a part of central Sumatra. Visual interpretations with a series of steps are used, starting with identification of the objects using interpretation keys, followed by spectral band correlations, scattergram analysis, and ended by consistency assessment. The consistency assessment step is performed to determine the level of clearness and easiness of the object recognition in the annual mosaic images. The results showed that the most optimal spectral bands used for RGB combinations for visual interpretation were Band SWIR-1, Band NIR, and Band Red. Based on the evaluation results, the annual mosaic image of MTB model performed the consistent results of the clearness objects and the easiness of the object recognition. Thus the annual mosaic image of MTB model of 0.02x0.02 degree tile is acceptable for further digital processing as well as digital land cover analysis.

The coconut fruits is very useful to be processed into cooking oil and it can meet the needs of cooking for Indonesia people, But before the coconuts processed into oil, The coconuts should be dried first. Usually the drying process is manually, that is dried in the sun. Unfortunately this way is not hygienic and can’t be done continuously, causing the coconut fungus overgrow. This paper proposes methode to solve the problem above. This research makes the dryer coconut fruitssystem by using the heater.Dryer system used for dry some coconut fruits that must be reduced the water content up to 5%, this dry coconutis called copra. System requires heater which will be regulated the temperature. Heater temperature setting is done by adjusting the heater supply voltage, and this is the task of ac to ac voltage controller. Ac to ac voltage controller is a circuit converter is capable converting ac voltage with value 220 Vrms at 50 Hz frequency and have waveform pure sinusoidal become ac voltage frequency at 50 Hz with an output voltage suitable with our need but the voltage waveform not impure sinusoidal or defective as a result firing angle effects. The output voltage which we set determines the value of the heater temperature. The output voltage is set from the firing angle of the triac component using the addition and decreasing angle values. Based on the results of experiments that have been done, if the drying chamber which has volume 135.2 liters and the temperature regulated at 700 C then the heater with a power requirement of 400 W should receive supply 216 V from ac to ac voltage controller. So the triac of ac to ac voltage controller fired on 0.55 radians so that the to ac voltage controller that gets 220 V input voltage can produce 216 V output voltage.

Stereo vision in detecting human motion is an emerging research for automation, robotics, and sports science field due to the advancement of imaging sensors and information technology. The difficulty of human motion detection and tracking is relatively complex when it is applied to uncontrolled environment. In this paper, a hybrid filter approach is proposed to detect human motion in the stereo vision. The hybrid filter approach integrates Gaussian filter and median filter to reduce the coverage of shadow and sudden change of illumination. In addition, sequential thinning and thickening morphological method is used to construct the skeleton model. The proposed hybrid approach is compared with the normalized filter. As a result, the proposed approach produces better skeleton model with less influential effect on shadow and illumination. The output results of the proposed approach can show up to 86% of average accuracy matched with skeleton model. In addition, obtains approximately 94% of sensitivity measurement in the stereo vision. The proposed approach using hybrid filter and sequential morphology could improve the performance of the detection in the uncontrolled environment.
