In this paper, we introduce two types of hybridization. The first contribution is the hybridization between the Viterbi algorithm and Baum Welch in order to predict crime locations. While the second contribution considers the optimization based on decision tree (DT) in combination with the Viterbi algorithm for criminal identification using Iraq and India crime dataset. This work is based on our previous work [1]. The main goal is to enhance the results of the model in both consuming times and to get a more accurate model. The obtained results proved the achievement of both goals in an efficient way.

The advancement of technology, make robots have more attention from researchers to make life of mankind comfortable. This paper deals with the design of an itemized control system prepared for window cleaning/maintenance of towers and multistory buildings which can be aided to simulating human activities. These activities (washing, coating, wiping, climbing, and maintenance events) normally achieved by specialized personal. The designed control system was prepared to guide the units of the required job to move freely along the outside surface of a window with a fairly enough area and mediate time for achieving the desired goal. The system design is implemented using Arduino kit, due to facilities in program and control of cleaning windows through infer the stepper motor movement and rotation. The controller has been achieved as real time system (30 msec.), it is done throw control of three stepper motor by taken in consideration the speed of the motors (π/3000 rad/sec) and the time can be adjustable within the cleaning area that the device covering it.

The aim of this study is to invistgate the characteristics of Si-MOSFET with 18 nm length of ion implemented channel. Technology computer aided design (TCAD) tool from Silvaco was used to simulate the MOSFET’s designed structure in this research. The results indicate that the MOSFET with 18 nm channel length has cut-off frequency of 548 GHz and transconductance of 967 μS, which are the most important factors in calculating the efficiency and improving the performance of the device. Also, it has threshold voltage of (-0.17 V) in addition obtaining a relatively small DIBL (55.11 mV/V). The subthreshold slope was in high value of 307.5 mV/dec. and this is one of the undesirable factors for the device results by short channel effect, but it does not reduce its performance and efficiency in general.

This work evaluated the performance of International Telecommunication Union-Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) P.837-6 and P.837-7 models (Annex 1) to estimate one-minute rainfall rates in Indonesia. In addition to the default ITU-R P.837-6, the input of ITU-R P.837-6 is also modified using data which has better spatial resolution, i.e. a combination of Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) 3A25 and 3B43 (ITU-R+3A25+3B43), 3B42 and 3B43 (ITU-R+3B42+3B43), Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation (ITU-R+GSMaP), and Global Precipitation Measurement (ITU-R+GPM). Among the five test sites, the default ITU-R P.837-6 and ITU-R+3A25+3B43 could predict one-minute rainfall rates at two locations accurately. The ITU-R P.837-7 exhibited a marginally better performance for sites that had a high percentage of very heavy rain, particularly at large (1%) and small (0.001%) percentages of time exceeded. The spatial distribution of rainfall rate produced by ITU-R P.837-7 and ITU-R+3A25+3B43 was closer to the pattern demonstrated by recent satellite precipitation measurements.

A wideband compact antenna with wo Bandwidth enhancement techniques intended for radiolocation applications is presented. Defective ground structure (DGS) is used to enhance the bandwidth and complimentary split ring resonator (CSRR) has been used to generate the bandwidth at the lower frequency of the antenna which brings compact nature. A coax feed patch antenna radiating at X-band frequency of 10 GHz is loaded with DGS and CSRR. Proposed antenna with a bandwidth of 3.4 GHz has shown a considerable enhancement in the antenna bandwidth when compared with the antenna with CSRR alone which is having a bandwidth of 1.15 GHz and a basic patch antenna whose bandwidth is 0.91 GHz. Proposed antenna is having omni directional radiation pattern with a gain of 5.01 dB and without any null in the coverage area. A great increase in the current fields can be observed that the field currents by loading the patch and ground with CSRR and DGS respectively. The patch currents have increased from 2.76 v/m to 3.25 v/m and the ground currents have increased from 0v/m to 2.45 v/m. Proposed antenna has been realized and its performance is measured using vector network analyzer, a near match in between the simulated result and measured result is observed.

Automated detection of abnormal activity assumes a significant task in surveillance applications. This paper presents an intelligent framework video surveillance to detect abnormal human activity in an academic environment that takes into account the security and emergency aspects by focusing on three abnormal activities (falling, boxing and waving). This framework designed to consist of the two essential processes: the first one is a tracking system that can follow targets with identify sets of features to understand human activity and measure descriptive information of each target. The second one is a decision system that can realize if the activity of the target track is "normal" or "abnormal” then energizing alarm when recognized abnormal activities.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of distributed nodes deployed for monitoring the physical conditions and organizing collected data at the central control unit. Power consumption is the challenges in WSN as the network consists of wireless sensor nodes becomes denser. By utilizing WSN and visible light technology, a simple health monitoring system design can be approached that are smaller in size, faster and lower power consumption. This work focuses on design a low power optical wake-up receiver to reduce the energy consumption of each node in WSN. A wake-up receiver is designed to be always-on for detecting incoming signal and switches on the stand by protocol controller and WSN network for data transmission process. The characteristic of optical transmission and functional circuit of a wake-up receiver has been investigated. A low power optical wake-up receiver has been designed in 180nm Silterra CMOS process technology. The proposed wake-up receiver consumes only 443pW in standby mode and 1.89nW in active mode. The proposed optical wake-up receiver drastically reduces the power consumption by more than one third compared to other wake-up receivers which could be a milestone in the medical field if successfully conducted.

The WLEDs configuration with remote phosphor layers has higher luminescent performance than WLEDs with dispense coating or conformal coating and is applied for many modern devices. However, managing the chromatic performance of lighting structure with remote phosphor materials is a challenging objective that demands more research. This has inspired the usage of multi phosphor configurations with distance in between the layers to improve color quality. The results of this manuscript can support the manufacturers in choosing the optimal configuration for optical performance in LEDs devices with more than one phosphor material. The simulated model used in the experments is 6500 K CCT WLEDs, which results show the triple-layers structure is more favorable in terms of color quality and light output. Besides, a notable reduction occurs in color deviation means that chromatic stability is also enhanced in WLEDs with three phosphor layers. Through experimental results, which were confirmed by the Mie-scattering theory, this research offers valuable approach and details to produce better WLEDs.

This paper aims to contribute to the modeling and control of the double star induction machine (DSIM) by a robust method called active disturbance rejection control (ADRC). The ADRC has become in the last decade one of the most important techniques of regulation. This method is based on the use of an ESO (Extended State Observer) which estimates in real-time and at the same time the external disturbances and the errors due to the variations of the parameters of the machine and to the uncertainties of modeling. The two stators of DSIM are powered by three-phase inverters based on transistors and MLI control and the entire system is modeled in Park's reference. We analyze in the Matlab/Simulink environment the dynamic behavior of the system and the different ADRC controllers under different operating conditions. The result has demonstrated the performance and effectiveness of the ADRC.
