Abstract

The inability of students to absorb the knowledge conveyed by the teacher is’nt caused by the inability of understanding and by the teacher which isn’t able to teach too, but because of the mismatch of learning styles between students and teachers, so that students feel uncomfortable in learning to a particular teacher. It also happens in senior high school (SHS/SMAN) 1 Anggana, so it is necessary to do this research, to analyze cluster (group) of student learning style by applying data mining method that is k-Means and Fuzzy C-Means. The purpose was to know the effectiveness of this learning style cluster on the development of absorptive power and improving student achievement. The method used to cluster the learning style with data mining process starts from the data cleaning stage, data selection, data transformation, data mining, pattern evolution, and knowledge development.

Abstract

Characterization and estimation of interconnections behavior in integrated circuits design before the implementation phase is of paramount importance. This behavior seen as microstrip antennas gets complex as the internal signal (square or sine waves) frequencies increase. Thus, they become the preferred path for the propagation of electromagnetic disturbances. In this work we have worked out the numerical modeling of the electromagnetic interactions characterizing the electromagnetic compatibility in the microstrip transmission lines. The effect of these electromagnetic interactions in different structures topologies are studied through the analysis of the influence of the supply signals frequency and structures. The spacing between transmission line tracks and the number of tracks superposition is modeled. The evolution and variation of the scheme parameters in the frequency domain are determined. The transmission lines are considered parallel of equal spacing and superposed tracks of equal spacing and thickness. The capacitance and inductance matrices are computed and discussed. The results are found to comply with current research outcomes.

Abstract

The study of dealing with searching information in documents within web pages is Information retrieval (IR). The user needs to describe information with comments or reviews that consists of a number of words. Discovering weight of an inquiry term is helpful to decide the significance of a question. Estimation of term significance is a basic piece of most information retrieval approaches and it is commonly chosen through term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF). Also, improved TF-IDF method used to retrieve information in web documents. This paper presents comparison of TF-IDF method and improved TF-IDF method for information retrieval. Cosine similarity method calculated on both methods. The results of cosine similarity method on both methods compared on the desired threshold value. The relevance documents of TF-IDF method are more extracted than improved TF-IDF method.

Abstract

Most energy sources that are commonly used in the world today are from fossils. This kind of energy is unrenewable and limited. Use of solar panels (Photovoltaic, PV) to generate electricity is growing fast and it can be used as an alternative energy instead of fossils. The problem faced by use of solar panels is that the generated power is not optimum for a particular load. It is always changing and influenced by the level of light (irradiance) and temperature. Therefore we need a way to maximize the power output of solar panels. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is a method for finding its maximum power point. In this research, the MPPT is designed to locate the point of generated maximum power on solar panels. MPPT controller designed in this research is using fuzzy logic. The voltage and current from the solar panels will be fed to the fuzzy logic controller. The output of fuzzy logic in the form of a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal regulates the process of switching boost converter. Experimental results show that output power from PV increase 15.9% and the efficiency of designed boost converter ranges in approximatelly 90.97 %

Abstract

Service oriented architecture (SOA) is a design paradigm in software engineering for an enterprise scale which built in a distributed system environment. This paradigm aims at abstracting of application functionality as a service through a protocol in web service technology, namely simple object access protocol (SOAP). However, SOAP have static characteristic and oriented by the service methode, so have restrictiveness on creating and accessing for big numbers of service. For this reason, this reasearch aims at combining SOA with resource oriented architecture (ROA) that is oriented by the service resource use representational state transfer (REST) protocol in order to expand scalability of service. This combination is namely service resource oriented architecture (SROA). SROA can optimize distributing of applications and integrating of services where is implemented to develop the project management software. To realize this model, the software is developed according with framework of Agile model driven development (AMDD) to reduce complexities on the whole stage processing of software development.

Abstract

Recently, sparse representation has been applied to image deblurring. The dictionary is the fundamental part of it and the proper selection of dictionary is very important to achieve super performance. The global learned dictionary might achieve inferior performances since it could not mine the specific information such as the texture and edge which is contained in the blurred image. However, it is a computational burden to train a new dictionary for image deblurring which requires the whole image (or most parts) as input; training the dictionary on only a few patches would result in over-fitting. To address the problem, we instead propose an online adaption strategy to transfer the global learned dictionary to a specific image. In our deblurring algorithm, the sparse coefficients, latent image, blur kernel and the dictionary are updated alternatively. And in every step, the global learned dictionary is updated in an online form via sampling only a few training patches from the target noisy image. Since our adaptive dictionary exploits the specific information, our deblurring algorithm shows superior performance over other state-of-the-art algorithms.

Abstract

High Performance Computing have several issues on architecture, resources, computational model and data. The challenge is establishing the mature architecture with scalable resources. The cluster architecture and multicore architecture implement to produce high performance on computation and process. This research works on architecture development and performance analysis. The cluster architecture build on Raspberry Pi, a single board computer, implement MPICH2. Raspberry Pi cluster build on Raspbian Wheezy operating system and test by metrics computation applications. The multicore architecture build on single computer with Core i5 and Core i7 architecture. The research use himeno98 and himeno16Large tools to analysis the processor and memory allocation. The test run on 1000x1000 matrices and benchmarked with OpenMP. The analysis focuses on CPU Time, FLOPS, and score. The result show on cluster architecture have 2576,07 sec in CPU Time, 86,96 MLPOS, and 2,69 score. The result on Core i5 architecture have 55,57 sec in CPU time, 76,30 MLOPS, and 0,92 score. The result in Core i7 architecture have 59,56 sec CPU Time, 1427,61 MLOPS, and 17,23 score. The cluster and multicore architecture results show that computing process are effected by architecture models. High performance computing architecture that has been built on this result can give learn on the development of HPC architecture models, and baseline performance. In the future it will use for determine the delivery architecture model on HPC and can be test by more variation of load.

Abstract

Spike detection is important for the analysis of gamelan signal processing, in detecting the onset, transcription, and spikes occur on gamelan percussion instruments. Since the current methods: absolute value and NEO, could not detect spikes properly, we proposed to develop a new spike detection method. In this paper, the early stage of spike detection in gamelan music audio was the determination of the peak signal to obtain the form of a signal pattern (envelope like) which was then used as threshold for determining the spike locations. We also demonstrated the effectiveness of their method using shape pattern analysis to detect spikes.

Abstract

The often problematic faced by Muslims are lack of understanding in calculating Zakah and determining the feasibility of compliant recipients based on Islamic Shari'a. This study aimed to establish Zakah management system to support calculation process based on Al Qaradhawi method, helping Board of Zakah in distributing Zakah funds to mustahik. The algorithm used for the classification of Zakah recipients is Naive Bayes. The classification was combination of discrete and continuous data which is conducted by experiments using feasible and unfeasible data as a novelty approach. The results have shown that the Naive Bayes method could solve the problem with 85% of average.
