Abstract

ABSTRACTAs an archipelago country, Indonesia has 1.128 tribes, therefore, Indonesia has a lot of cultures, languages, races, religions and customs. This diversity if it is not well managed, is able to be the source of conflict. As the effort of preventing the conflict, since the early age of children, it is better to give them knowledge of tolerance. The objective of this research is to carry out the validation of role playing module “Pelangi Di Sekolahku” towards the knowledge of tolerance on the early age of children particularly the kindergarten students. The participants of this research were 32 kindergarten children. The participants were separated into control group (18 children) and experiment group (14 children). The hyphotesis of this research was that the role playing module “Pelangi Di Sekolahku” was able to improve the knowledge of tolerance on the early age of children. The method of the research used untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The result of the statistical test which used mixed anava showed that there was the significantly difference between experiment group and control group with sig (0.000) < 0.01. The effective contribution of the role playing on the experiment group was 79.1%.Key words : Tolerance, Role playing, Preschool Children

Abstract

ABSTRACTAggression committed by juveniles with school background due to poorly developed conscience in teenagers , lack of impulse control , lack of sensitivity to moral values . One of the factors that can lead to aggressive behavior is aggressive models. Through CBT ( cognitive Behavior Therapy ) presented a model that negates the emergence of aggressive behavior and emphasize empathy so that individuals can replicate the model , individuals can capture the inspiration of the behavior which negates the aggression and may be granted when it appears strengthening empathy. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effect of CBT (cognitive behavior therapy) to strengthen empathy in adolescents with aggressive behavior. Results of data analysis showed that there are significant differences in the level of aggression between 99 % rate before getting treatment CBT (cognitive Behavior Therapy ) after getting treatment with CBT . After getting the CBT treatment aggressiveness level lower than before getting CBT treatment . Different coefficient of 4.093 with a p t of 0.001 ( p < 0,05 ). There is a significant difference in the level of empathy between the 99 % level before getting treatment after getting CBT with CBT treatment . After getting treatment CBT empathy levels higher than before getting the CBT treatment . Different coefficient of -3.916 with a p t of 0.002 ( p < 0,05 ) . The magnitude of the effect of CBT on aggressive behavior seen in the effective contribution of 23.7 % . The magnitude of the effect of CBT on empathy appears on the effective contribution of 30.8 % . Abstract

ABSTRACTStudents experienced anxiety and fear when facing the National Exam because they think it is pressed. In addition, it is caused by the lack of the resources to deal with the final exam. The research aim was tested the stress management training based on the procedure of Stress inoculation training (SIT) in the junior high school students who experienced anxiety facing the final exam.The research hypothesis was that stress management training could reduce the anxiety facing the final exam at the Junior High School students. The scale questionaire used to measure the anxiety. The research method was quasi-experiment. The results of analysis with the mixed ANAVA techniqueshowed that the stress management training by the SIT procedure could significantly decreased anxiety when facing the final exam in junior high school students in Kupang (F = 17.192, p <0.01), with the effective contribution about 86.7%. Junior high school students who had received the stress management training decreased level of anxiety to face the final exam more significantly than those who did not received the stress management training.Key word: adolescence, anxiety, stress management.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research identifies the extent of organizational commitment (OC) as mediator variable of quality of work life (QWL), emotional intelligence (EI) and organizational commitment to effective teamwork (ETW) and seeks variables which contribute most to the effective teamwork in the equation models in Nurhidayah Hospital Bantul Yogyakarta. As many as 127 questionnaires were distributed to selected subjects. Data were analyzed by the method of Structural Equation Modeling or SEM using Amos program. The results showed that there is relationship between quality of working life (QWL) and organizational commitment (OC). Quality of working life (QWL) gives 30.5%contribution on organizational commitment (OC). There is relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and organizational commitment (OC), emotional intelligence (EI) give 12.5% contribution on organizational commitment (OC). There isi relationship between organizational commitments (OC) to effective teamwork (ETW), organizational commitment (OC) gives 97.8% on effective teamwork (ETW). The result shows that organizational commitment (OC) as a mediator variable is able to provide a positive influence on the relationship between the two variables. The result also shows that thare are no releationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and effective teamwork (ETW) (CR:1.96) and relationship between quality of worklife (QWL) and effective teamwork (ETW) CR:1.96).Keywords: effective teamswork, emotional intelligence, quality of work life, organizational commitment.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study examines the role of core self evaluation on predicting retirement preparation of pre retirement employees. This research involves 50 pre retirement employee of the exploration section of “ X Company” who get pre retirement program on 2013. Retirement preparation scale is used to measure effort of the employee’s retirement planning and core self evaluation is measured through core evaluation scale. Results show that there is no significant effect of core self evaluation on retirement preparation (F = 0.581, p = 0.679, p > 0.05). Based on data analysis it indicated that core self evaluation does not have effect on retirement preparation. It’s mean that core self evaluation could not predict employee’s retirement preparation. Thera are non-motivational and cultural factors that affect employees’ intention on retirement preparation.Keywords: core self evaluation, emotional stability, self esteem, self efficacy, locus of control, retirement preparation

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is aimed at explaining the relationship between positive emotion management and pre-menopause anxiety experienced by female workers. The subjects of this research are female workers who are in pre-menopause age range in Kalirejo Village, Salaman, Magelang, Central Java. The data of this research were gained by using positive emotion management scale and premenopause anxiety scale. The technique analysis used in this research was the product moment correlation. The analysis using correlation analysis technique resulted in R equivalent to -0,305, R2 equivalent to 0.093 with p = 0.003. Those results show that there is indeed a significant relationship between positive emotion management and female workers’ pre-menopause anxiety in Kalirejo village, Salaman, Magelang, Central Java. R2 equivalent to 0.093 shows that positive emotion management has a significance as much as 9,3% to female workers’ pre-menopause anxiety.Key words : female worker, pre-menopause anxiety, positive emotion management,

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aims at testing empirically the influence of manager’s transformational leadership style on organizational commitment. The proposed hypthesis is positive relationship between manager’s transformational leadership style and organizational commitment.The subjects of the research are 40 employees of Batik Company “Nyonya Indo”. The subjects used in the research should meet the requirements, i.e.: 1). Men and women, 2). Permanent employee, 3). Have been working at least for a year. Transformational leadership style and organizational commitment scales were used to collect the data. The method of data analysis used is product moment correlation of Pearson through SPSS program of 17.00 for windows version. The result shows that there is significant positive correlation between manager’s transformational leadership style and organizational commitment. This is depicted in r = 0,297 and p < 0,05. It means that the higher the transformational leadership style is applied, the higher the organizational commitment and vice versa. The number of the influence of manager’s transformational leadership style on organizational commitmentis 7,841 %.Keywords: organizational commitment, transformational leadership style,
