Abstract

The rupiah currency is a valid exchange rate used in transactions in the Republic of Indonesia. The Rupiah is often falsified as paper currency. Rupiah paper has a unique texture characteristic so that if processed digitally, it will be easy to distinguish from fake ones.  Designing the authenticity of Rupiah currency system using the K-NN method aims to facilitate the authenticity of the currency and test the accuracy of the method used. The method used in this research is the method of Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) as a method of feature extraction and K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm used in the identification process. The testing phase uses data for 18 currency images. The results showed an accuracy rate of 100% for the value k = 1, 77.78% for the value k = 3, and 55.56% for the value k = 5. The highest level of accuracy in a currency authenticity identification system occurs when the value of k = 1 is 100%. The value of k on the classification input using the K-NN can determine the level of accuracy of the classification process.

Abstract

The use of the forecasting system is becoming more prominent in recent years. One of the implementations of the forecasting system is to predict electricity consumption demand. In this paper, we have developed a forecasting system for household electricity consumption using a well-known Extreme Gradient Boosting algorithm. We utilized time-series data from a smart meter dataset to make a predictive model. First, we evaluated the importance of time-series feature from the dataset and resampled the original dataset. Then, we used the resampled data to train the model and calculated training loss function. Our experimental studies with real IoT Smart Home data demonstrate that our forecasting system works well with small dataset using one-hour downsampling on the dataset.

Abstract

The Sumatra interconnection system, which is the second-largest electricity system in Indonesia, is often experiencing rolling blackouts. That caused by a lack of supply from the power generating system of Sumatra. The Government has planned to develop new power plants through the fast track program (FTP). Until 2015, either power outages and supply shortages are still common. Therefore, an analysis of long-term electricity planning needed to support energy security in Sumatra. The Sumatra electricity system was modelled using integrated resource planning as a framework and the long-range energy alternative planning (LEAP) software as a tool to build and simulate the model. Three groups of scenarios will be compared are the fast track program (FTP) scenario, the biofuel mandatory (BM) scenario and optimization (OPT) scenario. The results show that the implementation of DSM programs through energy conservation scenario would be able to reduce the electricity demand in the future. On the other side, the alternative scenario shows that the electricity deficit could be resolved in 2022, while the optimization scenario shows that energy diversity would resolve the electricity crisis in the Sumatra interconnection system.

Abstract

This paper presents a study of controlling magnetic levitation object using conventional sliding mode control (CSMC) and sliding mode control (SMC) with gain-scheduled. SMC with gain-scheduled aims to improve the robustness of the control system from disturbance. The CSMC simulation results show that output can follow the set point if there is no interference, but if the disturbance happens then there is overshoot and undershoot of 0.034 mm and 0.07 mm for disturbance 10 ∗ sin (𝑡) and 20 ∗ sin (𝑡). Then SMC with gain-scheduled shows excellent performance because the output can follow the reference even if it got disturbance of 10 ∗ sin (𝑡) and 20 ∗ sin (𝑡).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to apply Fuzzy Logic Controller on a wheeled soccer robot to avoid the collision with other robots in the field. The robot equipped by an omnidirectional camera as a vision sensor, a mini-PC for the image processing device, a microcontroller to handle I/O system, and three wheel's omnidirectional mover system. Omni-camera produces four input-values, namely: X coordinate ball position, Y coordinate ball position, distance and angle from obstacle to the point of interest in the camera frame. These inputs processed by a mini-PC and then forward to a microcontroller to calculate the output using Fuzzy Logic Controller. The output variables are the movement rate of the robot in the X, and Y coordinate.  These outputs will be used by the kinematics controller to manage the speed of three Omni-wheels driven by 24 volts DC motors. The experiment shows a good result with the percentage of the success of the robot catching the ball is around 70% and 80% in avoiding the obstacle. In time performance, the soccer robot with Fuzzy Logic Controller is superior by 4.67 seconds compared to the robot without this method.

Abstract

Shopee was one of the e-commerce application that could found on Google Play. The amount of Shopee application reviews on Google Play continues to grow over time. These make the company trying to get the overall information from all reviews because it would take a long time to read each of the reviews on Google Play. Therefore analysis was used using text mining. One part of text mining was sentiment analysis that applied the maximum entropy method to classification. Based on the results of the analysis found an accuracy of 97.32%. By using the maximum entropy method it could be concluded that word association obtained related to “application”, “promo”, “satisfy”, and “discount” for positive sentiment. Meanwhile for negative sentiment, the reviewers of Shopee application on Google Play were related to “problematic”, “login”, “old”, “verification”, and “expensive”. The results of this research in Indonesian.

Abstract

According to the publication of the Central Bureau of Statistics 2017, the population of Denpasar people has increased to 914,300 people. The Increasing number of the population raises various problems that must be faced by the Denpasar’s Government. The variety of problems is in line with the increase in complaints data posted through Denpasar people’s complaints online website, which made it difficult to know the main topics of the problems. The purpose of this research is to find the main topics of complaints Denpasar residents quickly and efficiently. The method used to achieve the objective of the research is Latent Dirichlet Allocation topic models with Gibbs sampling parameter estimation. The number of topics obtained through the highest log-likelihood value -42,528.84, the value is in the number of topics 19. The trending topic was based on the highest topic probability, topic 4, with a topic probability value 0.055. Based on these results, the trend of a topic is on topic 4 which can be interpreted that many residents of Denpasar complained about damaged roads and requested to fix the roads.
