Abstract

This study aims to examine factors contributing to societies’ tendencies to choose online shopping, the characteristics of e-commerce needed by societies and obstacles faced by MSME in handling business competition. E-commerce is a set of dynamic technology, application and business process which connects certain companies, consumers and communities through electronic transaction. Trade of goods, services and information is performed electronically. The development of E-commerce system for MSME aims to change its culture which still relies on conventional purchasing into online shopping, improve MSME’s sales in order to promote, market and sell products to internet users through website without any space and time limits. The research subjects are people involving in MSME and communities of Jebres village, Surakarta. This study applies qualitative paradigm. The research subjects were taken using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using various techniques: structured interview, questionnaire, observation and content analysis or archive analysis. Data were later analyzed using four stages, namely data reduction, classification, data presentation and verification.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify factors in the external environment affecting the poultry industry, analyze the business integration process of the company and know its internal factors, analyze the future of the poultry industry in Indonesia and formulate the strategic architecture of  PT Sierad Produce Tbk (SIPD) and its priority importance. Respondents in this study were determined using purposive sampling method. While the research method used is descriptive-qualitative with case study approach and using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as priority determination of interest.. The results of the research are several alternative SIPD strategy based on the main objective of the company, that is maximizing corporate integration, product development and market development. A strategic map as a strategic architecture design lane is created to illustrate the execution time of each alternative strategy. The business integration process at SIPD is currently not optimally developed, meaning that every stage of the production process is still a profit center. Achieving institutional markets with a contractual approach proves to ensure product survival.

Abstract

This research focuses on the study of customer engagement in planning and deciding on products and services to be purchased through the salesperson. This is a study of the relationships between firms and customers based on collaboration theory, customer value, relationship marketing and resource-base view (RbV).  the development of information technology causes the company to change the paradigm to become customer-centric. Customers are actively involved in creating value that suits the desired and customer experience. Financial services such as insurance is required to establish cooperation or strong collaboration so that both companies and customers get the expected benefits. The method used to analyze the model is multiple regression with a sample of 100 respondents  in the life insurance company customers in Semarang. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. The co-creation value formed from collaborative values, customer perceptions and customer participation with the salesperson capability mediated generates unique co-creation values in accordance with customer wants and needs.

Abstract

This research aims to test the reaction of the investors when the investors receive a dividend information presented with positive or negative frames at the same market conditions, either bullish or bearish market conditions. In addition, it also test the reactions of investors when they are in the bullish or bearish market conditions, the investors receive a dividend information with the same frame, both positive and negative frames. The investors reaction is indicated by the magnitude of the stock price prediction on the next day with absolute value. Experimental method is used to test the hypotheses in this research by using independent sample t-test. The results showed that there is an information framing effect to the investors when receiving the information with a positive frame in the bullish market conditions and gain domain effects occur to the investors in the bullish market conditions when the investors receive the information with a positive frame. These results are expected to provide a new insight on the different reactions of investors when receiving the same information.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to explore capabilities related to trust, self-efficacy, intellectual capital and job satisfaction at head-hunter companies in Indonesia. Development of human resources needs to be done through the strengthening of intellectual capital. Intellectual capital is needed head-hunter in improving company performance. The key to successful head-hunter companies if it has human resources that have added value, especially strong intellectual capital. Research sampling was conducted on 253 candidates who utilize head-hunter services an effort to develop themselves. Quantitative research was developed by utilizing structural equation modeling. Research model developed head-hunter companies that describes intellectual capital as research findings refers to previous model of research. This finding concludes that trust and self-efficacy have significant influence on intellectual capital. Another conclusion stated that intellectual capital has significant effect on job satisfaction. The concept states that intellectual capital can be integrated in global perspective as framework for developing an organization.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the antecedent of job satisfaction on job satisfaction, the influence of leadership style, organizational commitment and job satisfaction on turnover intention and whether job satisfaction was able to mediate the relation of antecedent of job satisfaction on turnover intention. The respondents in this study were employees at consulting firms in Semarang. The analysis instrument in this research was the multiple regression. The study showed that leadership style and organizational commitment had positive influence on job satisfaction. The other result of this study showed that leadership style, organizational commitment and job satisfaction had negative influence on turnover intention. With the proven fact of the influence of leadership style, organizational commitment and job satisfaction on turnover intention, the managers of consulting firms, therefore, should use leadership style that fit with employees, should try to increase the organization’s commitment to employees so they knew that they were a part of the organization and to maintain their membership in the organization and should improve employee satisfaction in order to reduce the turnover intention among employees.

Abstract

This research is attended to analyze market reaction to announcement of Golden Ring Award period 2008-2015. Indonesia Golden Ring Award (IGRA) which was originally called as GRA is a form of award for the telecommunications industry in which the assessment team consist of the journalists who are daily covering the telecommunications industry  It used an event study methodology to empirically evidence. The research samples are focused on 6 telecommunication firms listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange with judgement sampling technique. The secondary data consists of daily closing price of shares and composite stock price index with an estimation period during 21 days by using a market adjusted model. Hypotheses are tested by one sample t-test, paired t-test and independent sample t-test. There is significant market reaction to announcement of Golden Ring Award. The second Hypothesis also accepted i.e. there is a significance in different market reaction between the firms getting Golden Ring Award and the firms not getting Golden Ring Award, especially in best operator category. Whereas in best value added category, market didn’t show significant reactions. This result gives implication related to the efficient capital market Hypothesis i.e. semi strong form efficiency are proven.
