Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the effect of motivation and leadership effectiveness to productivity at vocational school in the subdistrict of West Cikarang Bekasi district. The researchwas conducted using survey method with path analysis technique. Research samples were selected as much as 74 teachers using simple random sampling technique. The data obtained through questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis techniques. Based on this research of data obtained the following conclusions: First, the motivation have positive direct effect to productivity. That is, improvement of motivation will lead to increased productivity. Second, the leadership effectiveness have positive direct effect to productivity. That is, improvement of leadership effectiveness will lead to increased productivity. Third, motivation have positive direct effect to the leadership effectiveness. The productivity can be improved by increasing motivation and leadership effectiveness.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to explore capabilities related to trust, self-efficacy, intellectual capital and job satisfaction at head-hunter companies in Indonesia. Development of human resources needs to be done through the strengthening of intellectual capital. Intellectual capital is needed head-hunter in improving company performance. The key to successful head-hunter companies if it has human resources that have added value, especially strong intellectual capital. Research sampling was conducted on 253 candidates who utilize head-hunter services an effort to develop themselves. Quantitative research was developed by utilizing structural equation modeling. Research model developed head-hunter companies that describes intellectual capital as research findings refers to previous model of research. This finding concludes that trust and self-efficacy have significant influence on intellectual capital. Another conclusion stated that intellectual capital has significant effect on job satisfaction. The concept states that intellectual capital can be integrated in global perspective as framework for developing an organization.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the relationship between supervision and punishment with work discipline of vocational high school teacher. The research is conducted on state vocational high school subdistrict of West Cikarang, Bekasi District. The research method used survey method with the correlation approach to data collection tool using questionnaires. The respondents were  state vocational high school teachers who are in the subdistrict of West Cikarang, Bekasi district as many as 80 teacher selected by two stage random sampling technique. Instrument calibrated by using validity and reliability test. The data processing is used regression analyze technique and simple correlations with multiple regression and correlations. The result of the research show : First, there is positive correlation between supervision (X1)  with work discipline (Y) with correlation coefficient ry1 = 0,452 and similarity regression Ŷ = 42,327 + 0,609 X1. Second, there is positive correlations between punishment (X2) with work discipline (Y) with correlation coefficient ry2 = 0.658 and similarity regression Ŷ  =  27,406 + 0,748X2. Third, there is positive correlation between supervison (X1) and punishment (X2) with work discipline (Y) with correlation coefficient ry12 = 0,449 and similarity regression Ŷ = 0,024 + 0,413X1 + 0,648X2. Based on the result can conclude that work discipline could be increase to strengthen supervision and punishment. Kata kunci : discipline, supervision, punishment

Abstract

This study aims to find out how contribution of companies in industrial estate has an active involvement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. In addition, the study also encourages companies to develop business in industrial estates, especially for industrial manufacturers in various business backgrounds through strengthening of the company?s active involvement in corporate social responsibility programs. Research has been conducted data collection and testing for the management in industrial estate at West Java, Indonesia. The sample selection was collected by using random sampling. Observations were made in time horizon or cross-sectional. Data were tested using structural equation modeling. The results concluded that the company has not been optimally involved in corporate social responsibility program. This can be seen from the lack of corporate contribution related to the role of company to engage directly on corporate social responsibility that can be felt and utilized by surrounding community to develop resources around it. The research expects for manufacturing industries in industrial estates to increase active involvement in corporate social responsibility programs as they positively impact business development in the future.

Abstract

Abstract Reward for teacher became one of the ways to improve teachers’ performance for the development of national education. It is an appreciation for teachers based on merit or the excellent performance, given both individually and institutionally in the form of material or appreciation. A competent teachers have the ability, skill, and attitude of work in accordance with established standards. The purposed of this study is to analyze the effect of reward on teachers in creating performance through the optimization of creativity, innovation development and competence. The data were analyzed through triangulation model of transformation that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. The findings indicate that teachers’ reward model that able to create performance through increasing the creativity, innovation, and competence. Furthermore, this study is expected to build awareness of the ministry of education in improving the quality of national education systems including the expansion of rewards for teachers who have great working performance in creativity, innovation and competence.Abstrak Penghargaan bagi guru menjadi salah satu tuntutan dalam upaya peningkatan prestasi kerja untuk pengembangan kualitas pendidikan nasional. Penghargaan guru merupakan bentuk apresiasi terhadap guru berdasarkan prestasi atau kinerja unggul yang diberikan baik perorangan maupun lembaga dalam bentuk materil maupun lisan. Guru yang kompeten memiliki kemampuan, ketrampilan maupun sikap kerja sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh penghargaan guru dalam rangka menciptakan prestasi kerja melalui optimalisasi kreativitas, pengembangan inovasi dan peningkatan kompetensi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model triangulasi transformasi yang memadukan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Temuan dalam penelitian ini mengintegrasikan model penghargaan guru yang mampu menciptakan prestasi kerja melalui upaya meningkatkan kreativitas, inovasi, dan kompetensi. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini mengharapkan kementerian pendidikan nasional lebih berperan aktif dalam meningkatkan kualitas sistem pendidikan nasional diantaranya melalui perluasan pemberian penghargaan bagi guru yang memiliki keunggulan dalam kreativitas, inovasi dan kompetensi. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali ada-tidaknya pengaruh supervisi terhadap tinggi rendahnya kepuasan kerja guru, ada-tidaknya pengaruh supervisi terhadap kepuasan kerja guru, dan ada-tidaknya pengaruh supervisi dan iklim kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja guru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode ex post facto. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket. Populasinya guru SMK Swasta di Kecamatan Cikarang Utara Kabupaten Bekasi sebanyak 172 dengan menggunakan  teknik penyampelan acak berlapis ganda dan diperoleh 50 guru. Hasil penelitian adalah pertama, terdapat pengaruh supervisi terhadap kepuasan kerja guru dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.951 dan persamaan regresi sebesar Y = 70.390 + 0.259 X . Kedua, terdapat pengaruh iklim organisasi terhadap kepuasan kerja guru dengan koefisen korelasi sebesar 0.964 dan regression equation Y = 89.602 + 0.28 X . Ketiga, terdapat pengaruh supervisi dan iklimorganisasi secara bersama-sama dengan kepuasan kerja guru dengan koefisien regresi ganda sebesar 0.974 danregression equationY = 0.967 + 0.413 X + 0.538 X .

Abstract

Competitive strategy is required by every business unit to win the competition in the uncertain and turbulent business environment especially in manufacturing industry. Development and distribution new industrial estates located in Java and outside Java by the Indonesian government in an effort to win the global competition in the manufacturing industry. This study empirically investigates the role of human capital, infrastructure, supply chain, science and technology on competitive strategy in business units at industrial estates and its impact on strengthening the competitiveness of manufacturing industries. The author conducted a survey on the best-performing industrial estate to test hypothesis and analyze the survey results using structural equation modeling. The results concluded that human capital, infrastructure, supply chain, science, and technology have a positive influence on competitive strategy and have a positive impact on the competitiveness of manufacturing industries especially located in industrial estates. In addition, the importance of choosing the right competitive strategy will greatly determine how big this business has superior competitiveness compared to its business competitors. This research is expected to be the reference for business units and manufacturing industries to be used as one of the considerations in the development of industrial estate that is being built and developed by the current government in order to get the best competitiveness.

Abstract

This research was conducted to the quality improvement of automotive chassis lesson by utilizing multimedia in learning in the classroom. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 West Cikarang In Light Vehicle Engineering Program. The method used in this study is classroom action research. The sample was selected 94 students using a random sampling technique. The results of this research shows that: the observation of the 1st cycle can know the total value of 2742 or an average value of 1.9 (scale 4) with a percentage of 48.6%, the 2nd cycle of observation was found that the total value of 3509 or the average value of 2,5 with the percentage of 62.2%, and the 3rd cycle of observation old be determined a total value of 4612 or the average value of 3.3 with the percentage of 82.5% . The conclusions in this study is that the theory of automotive chassis-based multimedia is able to improve the quality of learning. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan mutu belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran chasis otomotif dengan memanfaatkan multimedia dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Cikarang Barat pada Program Studi Teknik Kendaraan Ringan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Sampel penelitian dipilih 94 siswa menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel secara acak sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pengamatan siklus ke-1 dapat diketahui nilai total pengamatan sebesar 2742 atau nilai rata-rata 1,9 (skala 4) dengan persentase 48,6% pada pengamatan siklus ke-2 dapat diketahui nilai total pengamatan sebesar 3509 atau rata-rata nilai 2,5 dengan persentase 62,2%, dan pada pengamatan siklus ke-3 dapat diketahui nilai total pengamatan sebesar 4612 atau nilai rata-rata 3,3 dengan persentase 82,5%. Atas dasar hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran chasis otomotif yang berbasis multimedia dapat meningkatkan kualitas belajar siswa.
