This research aims to produce innovation of performance assessment rubric on practicum salt hydrolysis material. The rubric was being consulted and validated by experts, then it was being revised and tested. The trial result was being analyzed and revised, then usage test was given. The research was conducted at SMA in Semarang using purposive sampling technique. A small scale was given to ten students and large scales were given to the students in class XI IPA 3 and XI IPA 4. The results showed that the validity of innovation of performance assessment rubric by experts was 86.46%. Implementation innovation of performance assessment rubric on practicum salt hydrolysis "test salt solution in water", the agreement has been reached between the observer and the student with the value of generalizability coefficient are 0.711 and 0.744. The impact of the use of performance assessment rubric is that the cognitive learning outcomes of the students can achieve mastery learning. In class XI IPA 3, there are 33 students from 38 students achieve KKM and in class XI IPA 4 there are 33 students from 37 students achieve values KKM. Studentâs characters can also be developed during lab activities, such as discipline, honesty, independence, curiosity, responsibility, and cooperation. Based on the results, innovation of performance assessment research practicum salt hydrolysis "test salt solution in water" could be used as a guide to the performance assessment (psychomotor) of the students and increase understanding of the concept and fosters studentâs character. This study aims to gain an overview of student weakness in explanation of procedures, symptoms observed, and the basic concepts in the lecture of electrometry based laboratory activities associated with the work culture and the development of inter-intrapersonal intelligence. This study used 30 subjects, they are chemistry education students who take courses in analytical chemistry lab instruments. Data were collected through preliminary tests in writing and oral questions during student reported observational data. The mean value for the explanation of the procedure, the symptoms observed, as well as the basic concepts are respectively 60, 61 and 59 (score 100). Practicum that lasts to this day do not give opportunity to develop inter-intrapersonal ability students such as information identification, information elaborating, discussions to develop and evaluate procedures, formulate new concepts and create reports. Therefore it is necessary to built the electrometry lecture-based lab activities that give students the opportunity to develop inter-intrapersonal intelligence which is also associated with the work culture of Java.Keywords: Electrometry, Inter-intrapersonal, Lab Activity, Work Culture

This study aims to investigate the influence of applied practical implementation of Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) oriented towards improvement learning outcomes on colloid chemistry subject of class XI high school students. The population of this study were all Science students of class XI of the high schools in Magelang, 2012-2013 school year. The design used in this study was pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, obtained Science XI-3 as experimental class used practical methods applicable CEP oriented and Science class XI-2 as the control class. The results showed that there was an influence of applied practical implementation of CEP oriented towards thew improvement of student learning outcomes chemistry. The magnitude of the effect of applied practical implementation of CEP oriented towards improvement of student learning outcomes chemistry was 63.64%. The improvement of student learning outcomes in the experimental class in the high category with N-Gain value of 0.84 was greater than the control class with Ngain value of 0.51 was included in the medium category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there are significant influence of practical implementation of CEP applicative oriented toward chemistry learning outcome of students in one high school in Magelang.Keywords: Applicative Experiment Method, Chemoentrepreneurship, Learning Outcomes

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of learning methods with metacognitive strategies assisted Advance Organizer. Research design used was a pretest posttest control group. The effectiveness of the research will be presented with the classical student learning completeness minimum 85%. The study population was all students of class X in a school of Tengaran. Samples were X-5 class (the experimental class) and X-4 (grade control) were taken with a cluster random sampling technique. Experimental class implements metakogntif assisted learning strategies Advance Organizer while the control class is not apply metacognitive strategies assisted Advance Organizer. The research instrument used is the observation sheet affective and psychomotor, cognitive and achievement test sheet student questionnaire responses. The data were taken from learning outcomes and student response. Based on data analysis, it obtained that the average student learning outcomes for experimental class was 78.32, and control class was 75.09, with classical cognitive mastery of learning outcomes for experimental class was 88.23% and control class was 70.59%. The average of experimental class students have a good response on learning that used metacognitive strategies assisted Advance Organizer. It can be concluded that metacognitive strategies assisted Advance Organizer effectively can improve the student learning outcomes in school.Keywords: Advance Organizer, Learning Outcomes, Strategy Metacognitive

This study aimed to investigate the differences of learning outcomes between students with learning Team Asissted Individualization (TAI) and Structure Exercise Method (SEM) equipped with student worksheet, students with simply TAI learning, and students without TAI and SEM models, and which the implementation of model is the best ones that can be used as an alternative better model. Experimental design of this study is a pretest and posttest control group design. Samples were taken with cluster random sampling technique. Based on the analysis the average cognitive achievement test of experimental class I is 84.67, experimental class II is 82.41, and control class is 76.61. The Anova test results showed the average difference is significant between the three classes. Scheffes post-ANOVA test showed the average difference is significant between each class and demonstrated that the experimental class I is the class with the best learning outcomes. The contribution of aplication of TAI and SEM models is 20,82%. Affective and Psychomotor learning outcomes of TAI and SEM class showed that it is the best result from three class. The conclusion of this study that learning TAI and SEM equipped with student worksheet produce the best learning outcomes.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Structure Exercise Method, Team Assisted Individualization

This research aims to know the effectiveness of guided inquiry oriented green chemistry for science process skills at XI school grade of SMA in Semarang on 2012/2013 period. The population is normal and homogeneous, so to take two groups of samples using cluster random sampling techniques. Design of this research is posttest only control design. The succes of this research seen from cognitive aspect of student achievement reach KKM. At the final stage of the analysis, the t test used was left-test with t count > t table (1.696). The student achievement for experimental classes obtained t count of 3.860 while the control class 0,914. This suggests that the experimental class has achieved mastery learning, while the control class not yet. The average value of the psychomotor aspects of students in the experimental class was 82.6 which is included in the excellent category and control class was 74 included in good category. In the aspect of Students environmental concern, the average value of the experimental class was 88.65 included in the excellent category and class control was 81.7 included in good category. The conclusion was that the research-oriented guided inquiry of green chemistry proved effectively increase the science process skills.Keywords: Green Chemistry, Guided Inquiry, Science Process Skills

The low learning outcome chemistry mainly caused by the learning process did not  provide the opportunity for students to gain learning experience. The purpose of this research was to improve student learning outcomes with Project-Based Learning approach. This study was a class action (Class-Room Action Research). This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The focus of this research was improving student learning outcomes. The data collection techniques used were technical documentation, observation and tests. Research was successful if at least 23 of the 30 students scored more than 75. The results showed that the application of Project-Based Learning approach can improve learning outcomes. Research data completeness cognitive learning outcomes cycle I was 23 of the 30 students completed, affective domain was 23 of 30 students completed and psychomotor domains was 27 of 30 students completed. Research data completeness cognitive learning outcomes cycle II was 26 of 30 students completed, the affective domain was 24 of the 30 students completed and psychomotor domains was 26 of the 30 students completed. This means that the indicator set had achieved success on the cycle II. From the research, it was concluded that implementing Project-Based Learning approach could improve student learning outcomes of chemistry.Keywords: Learning Outcome, Project-Based Learning, Purifying Of Table SaltÂ

Preliminary study has performed in a high school in Semarang within grade X of the school year 2012/2013, obtained the classical completeness students on chemistry subject less than 85% and the ability of students life skill was lower, equal to 61%. This study applied the learning-oriented Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) in petroleum subject. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the learning-oriented CEP in understanding the concepts and life skills of high school studentsâ grade X. The population in this study were class X students of high school in Semarang. The design used is a posttest only control design. The sample was taken by random cluster sampling technique, the class X-3 as the experimental class and the class X-2 as a control class. The results of completeness study showed that experimental class achieved mastery of classical study at 88.89%, while the control class was only 78.95%. The average of studentsâ concept understanding in experimental class was better than the control class respectively 80.11 and 74.32. The ability of student life skill increased from 61% to 84. The results showed that the learning-oriented CEP provided significant effectiveness in understanding the concepts and life skills of class X high school students.Keywords: Chemoentrepreneurship, Concept Understands, Life SkillÂ

This study aims to determine whether the implementation of inquiry-based learning Group Investigation Guided influential in improving learning outcomes of chemistry in competence of Colloid Systems and how the responses of teachers and students towards applied learning. Sampling used cluster random sampling technique, obtained class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class and the XI IPA 4 as control class. Retrieval of data used techniques: tests, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the average grade of experimental class was higher than the control class based on the test of the right hand, with both of the posttest score of t count  6.89 over t table of 2.00. The results of the analysis of the magnitude of the effect between variables obtained coefficient of determination 73.38%, mean that the inquirybased learning Group Investigation Guided Contributed to increasing students cognitive learning outcomes of 73.38%. On Affective and psychomotor assessment, the average grades of the experimental class learning better than classroom control. Analysis of the questionnaire responses of teachers and students also indicated that inquiry-based learning Group Investigation Guided obtained a good response. This study concluded that the implementation of inquiry-based learning Group Investigation Guided influenced in improving learning outcomes chemistry class XI student with competencies related colloidal systems and obtained good response from teachers and students.Keywords: Group Investigation, Learning Outcomes, Inquiry-Guided
