Abstract

Element Chemistry is one of the materials given to class XII students. Studying the chemical elements of the substance cause a sense of saturation because of the broad scope of the material and is memorized. To help and facilitate students learning in an effort to understand the material including the Chemical Element material, the use of learning media was developed. This research was conducted with the aim to find out the increase in student learning outcomes through virtual laboratories. The research design used was one group pretest-posttest design. The learning model used is TPS (Think Pair Share) cooperative laboratory assisted with virtual laboratories. The research method used is the test method. The instruments used were pretest and posttest sheets. The results of data analysis using n-gain indicate that an increase in student learning outcomes in the medium and high categories. A total of 66.67% of students experienced an increase in learning outcomes in the medium category, and 33.33% of students experienced an increase in learning outcomes in the high category. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the virtual laboratory with TPS learning model can significantly improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dari berbagai variabel pembelajaran, salah satunya berupa modulsebagai variabel bahan ajar. Pengembangan modul berbantuan android application mobile berorientasi Problem Based Learning diharapkan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas modul berorientasi Problem Based Learning dan untuk mendapatkan respon dari pengguna. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu four-D Models yang dimodifikasi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi dan metode angket.Kelayakan awal bahan ajar ditentukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media menggunakan teknik deskriptif persentase. Kelayakan akhir bahan ajar ditentukan berdasarkan hasil pengujian. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Secara kuantitatif, data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan cara menghitung rerata skor dan menentukan kriteria pada interval kelas tertentu. Uji validitas modul memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,196, dengan persentase skor rata-rata 79,905%. Data skor perolehan angket tanggapan siswa sebesar 3,21, dan angket tanggapan guru sebesar 3,40, sehingga modul ini terbukti memenuhi kriteria layak yang didukung dengan respon baik dari pengguna.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul ini dinyatakan valid dan mendapat respon baik dari pengguna sehinggadapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) adalah suatu modelpembelajaran yang memusatkan pada pengajaran dan keterampilan pemecahan masalahyang diikuti dengan penguatan keterampilan. Penambahan sumber belajar dengan artikelkimia dari internet dapat menambah kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pengetahuan siswa,sehingga berpengaruh lebih baik terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalahmengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan artikel kimia dari internet pada modelpembelajaran CPS terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas XI SMA N I Gombong padamateri kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelasXI IPA di SMA Negeri 1 Gombong tahun ajaran 2008/2009. Metode penelitian mengambilbentuk eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metodedokumentasi, tes, angket, dan observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik parametrik,uji korelasi biserial, dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil uji hipotesis ini membuktikan penggunaanartikel kimia dari internet berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kimia materi kelarutan danhasil kali kelarutan. Kata kunci: creative problem solving, artikel, internet

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang masih menggunakan metode konvensional menyebabkan pencapaian kompetensi matapelajaran kimia masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Cooperative Class Experiment (CCE) tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) pada KBK dan Hasil Be/ajar siswa SMA topik reaksi redoks. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan menghasikan siswa kelas X8 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data adalah dokumentasi, tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda dan essay berupa open-ended questions serta observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil analisis data tes KBK yaitu pencapaian kelima subindikator KBK pada kelas eksperimen mencapai rata-rata 73, 75% yang berarti siswa dapat mengembangkan KBK dengan kriteria baik, sedangkan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata 64,68% dalam kriteria KBK cukup. Dari hasil analisis, diperoleh rb 0,51 dengan besarnya kontribusi 26,29%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran Model Cooperative Class Experiment (CCE) Tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) berpengaruh pada KBK dan hasil be/ajar siswa suatu SMA di Semarang pada pokok materi redoks dengan kontribusi sebesar 26,29%.Learning with the conventional method make competency achievement in chemistry subject is still low. This study aimed to determine the effect of Model Cooperative Class Experiment (CCE) type Team Games Tournament (TGT) on CBC and Learning Outcomes on high school students in the topic of redox reactions. Sample determination was using cluster random sampling technique, class X8 grade students is as the experimental class and X7 class is as control class. The method used in data collection is documentation, in the form of multiple choice test and an essay in the form of open-ended questions and observations. The results showed that analysis of CBC data test achieved fifth subindikator CBC in the experimental class gained an average of 73. 75%, which means that students can develop CBC with good criterion, while the control class with an average of 64.68% in the CBC is sufficient criteria. 7he analysis data obtained rb 0.51 with the contribution of 26.29%. The results of this study concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model Class Experiment (CCE) Study Team Games Tournament (TGT) type have signiffican effect on CBC and student learning outcomes in high school in Semarang on the redox subject with the contribution of 26.29%.

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of guided inquiry oriented green chemistry for science process skills at XI school grade of SMA in Semarang on 2012/2013 period. The population is normal and homogeneous, so to take two groups of samples using cluster random sampling techniques. Design of this research is posttest only control design. The succes of this research seen from cognitive aspect of student achievement reach KKM. At the final stage of the analysis, the t test used was left-test with t count t table (1.696). The student achievement for experimental classes obtained t count of 3.860 while the control class 0,914. This suggests that the experimental class has achieved mastery learning, while the control class not yet. The average value of the psychomotor aspects of students in the experimental class was 82.6 which is included in the excellent category and control class was 74 included in good category. In the aspect of Students environmental concern, the average value of the experimental class was 88.65 included in the excellent category and class control was 81.7 included in good category. The conclusion was that the research-oriented guided inquiry of green chemistry proved effectively increase the science process skills.Keywords: Green Chemistry, Guided Inquiry, Science Process Skills

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the misconceptions of the students through a posttest after interactive learning with a model of Problem Based Learning. The study was conducted in SMA N 1 Batang with sampling research done by purposive sampling was XI MIA-G in even semester with the subject matter of the Buffer Solution. The research designed by descriptive analysis with data collection through the documentation, written tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The result of overall analysis concept gained 300 kinds of the students from the posttest result. The result of concept patterns in XI MIA-G showed that most of the students understand the concept was 83%, a small percentage of the students which experienced misconceptions was 15,33% and which didn’t understand the concept was 1,67%.

Abstract

Upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dilakukan dengan menekankan pada pengembangan kemampuan siswa dalam tiga kompetensi, yaitu sikap, keterampilan, dan pengetahuan. Kemampuan siswa dapat diukur dengan menggunakan penilaian. Hasil observasi di suatu SMA Negeri di Weleri menemukan bahwa instrumen penilaian yang digunakan hanya terfokus pada pengetahuan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian proses, serta memperoleh instrumen penilaian proses yang valid, reliabel, efektif dalam mengukur keterampilan laboratorium siswa, dan efektif dalam mengukur aktivitas siswa di kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode RD (Research and Development) melalui beberapa langkah, yaitu: (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) mengumpulkan informasi, (3) desain produk, (4) validasi desain, (5) perbaikan desain, (6) uji coba produk skala kecil, (7) perbaikan desain, (8) uji coba skala besar, (9) analisis data dan perbaikan, dan (10) implementasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian proses mencapai kategori sangat baik, dinyatakan layak, valid, dan reliabel, serta efektif dalam mengukur keterampilan laboratorium siswa dan aktivitas siswa karena proporsi siswa yang mencapai kategori minimal tinggi lebih dari 75% nya. Simpulan yang diperoleh adalah instrumen penilaian proses yang dikembangkan berada pada kriteria sangat baik, layak, valid dan reliabel, dan efektif.

Abstract

The low learning outcome chemistry mainly caused by the learning process did not  provide the opportunity for students to gain learning experience. The purpose of this research was to improve student learning outcomes with Project-Based Learning approach. This study was a class action (Class-Room Action Research). This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The focus of this research was improving student learning outcomes. The data collection techniques used were technical documentation, observation and tests. Research was successful if at least 23 of the 30 students scored more than 75. The results showed that the application of Project-Based Learning approach can improve learning outcomes. Research data completeness cognitive learning outcomes cycle I was 23 of the 30 students completed, affective domain was 23 of 30 students completed and psychomotor domains was 27 of 30 students completed. Research data completeness cognitive learning outcomes cycle II was 26 of 30 students completed, the affective domain was 24 of the 30 students completed and psychomotor domains was 26 of the 30 students completed. This means that the indicator set had achieved success on the cycle II. From the research, it was concluded that implementing Project-Based Learning approach could improve student learning outcomes of chemistry.Keywords: Learning Outcome, Project-Based Learning, Purifying Of Table Salt

Abstract

In achieving the learning objectives, many components are involved including teaching materials. One of the teaching materials that will be developed in the form of printed teaching materials, namely comics. The role of comics has a very important role because the emotional involvement of the reader will greatly affect the memory and memory of the subject matter obtained. This study aims to develop the teaching materials in the form of comic media using Adobe Photoshop CS6 software on the reaction rate material to determine teacher ratings and student responses to the developed comic media. This study uses a learning design procedural development model from ADDIE. The research instruments used were interview guidelines, needs questionnaires, expert team validation questionnaires, assessment questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The product of the development was validated by the content and construct validation team (Content Validity and Construct Validity), and was assessed by an expert validator in the multimedia field and then tested on a small group, the data obtained was further analyzed descriptively-quantitative. The positive result of class XI IPA 2 student responses at SMA N 7 Sarolangun were 87.02%, the results obtained that this comic media is very good and interesting. Based on the process and results of media development as well as material and results, overall it is concluded that this comic media product is feasible and interesting to use.

Abstract

 Model pembelajaran advance organizer digunakan untuk memberdayakan seluruhpotensi siswa yang diperlukan untuk mengikuti pelajaran selanjutnya, namun keefektifannyadalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar belum pernah diteliti. Tujuan penelitianini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa melalui pengembanganmodel pembelajaran advance organizer. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan test tertulis,observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Kesahihan data diuji dengan uji normalitas danhomogenitas sampel, sedangkan uji beda dua rerata menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan pembelajaran yang digunakan dalampenelitian dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihatdari aktivitas belajar kelas eksperimen yang memiliki rerata lebih tinggi dibandingkan aktivitasbelajar kelas kontrol. Selain itu, hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari KKM yaitu79,05 sedangkan hasil belajar kelas kontrol dibawah KKM yaitu 68,52. Hasil data angketyang diperoleh menunjukkan hampir 90% siswa menyukai model pembelajaran advanceorganizer.Kata Kunci:  advance organizer, aktivitas, hasil belajar
