Abstract

This research was conducted in Kreo Sub-watershed in Semarang and aimed toexamine the difference of soil physical characteristic in various land utilizationtypical and to examine the relationship among soil physical characteristic, soilcover and trees stand conditions to infiltration capacity. In this research, thepicking out of the soil specimens and the test of infiltration was conducted in 10(ten) kinds of land utilization in the same condition of slope, soil, land use, anddistribution of precipitation. The result of this research showed that there is asignificant difference among the condition of the texture, the porosity, and thepermeability, whereas the organic matter and the early capacity of water have nosignificant difference. Whereas adequate correlation was found among thepermeability, the early capacity of water and the soil cover condition, mean whilethe trees stand condition, the texture, the organic matter, and the porosity have nostrong correlation with infiltration capacity.

Abstract

This study aims to assessing changes in watershed vegetation density in multitemporalBodri (1992-2009) with remote sensing satellite imagery. This researchis descriptive-eksplanatory. Research variables include changes in vegetationdensity on the watershed Bodri (1992-2009). The results showed that thevegetation density of Bodri watershed began in 1992, 2002, and 2009 may changerelatively dynamic and each category is different. Tightly categories grew wide, otherwise meeting the more narrow category. This indicates that reforestation bedone in the upstream watershed Bodri progressing well.

Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Semarang is one of Madrasah Aliyah which has sufficient facilities. However, thelearning process of the school implies y simple learning media. Ideally, along with technology development, geography learning is supposed to utilize the technology and facilities maximally. The purpose of this research isto know the implementation of Google earth media and map digital, and to know the comparison of learningoutcome using Google earth media and using digital map media of fauna distribution. Subject of this research isIPS students in grade XI of MAN 1 Semarang. Experiment group (learning using Google Earth media) is IPS 2students in grade XI while IPS 3 students in grade XI become controller group (learning using digital map). Thisresearch is quasi experimental design. Variable of this research is learning outcome of the student with animaldistribution material using Google earth media, and learning outcome of the students using digital map media offauna distribution. Method of collecting data used documentation, questioner, and test. Analysis of the researchshows thitung >ttabel. It means that hypothesis is approved. Therefore, I can conclude that geography learningoutcome on distribution fauna material using Google Earth media is better than using digital map media ofdistribution fauna.

Datacollection using surveys, through interviews with a sample of respondents were90 families (KK) or 25 percent of the total population of 358 families. The resultsshowed that the population majority (48.8%) had moderate category knowledgeabout the benefits, the damage effect after use, and the need for prevention ofmangrove forests damage. Most of the population (53.6%) had a low perceptionof the category. This is influenced by the knowledge level of mangrove forests (c= 12.71; significance 0.013). Local government policy to mangrove forestsmanagement, responded negatively by the local community. This was caused bythe absence of mangrove forest management efforts clearly and firmly. Localgovernment should immediately develop a plan of integrated mangrove forestsmanagement, and immediately disseminated to the public around the mangroveforests.

Abstract

The aim of this research which seeks: (1) Disclose the suitability of land for residential areas in District Tembalang (2)Disclose the evaluation of suitability of land for residential areas in District Tembalang and (3) Establish the area ofsettlements in the District Tembalang. Data analysis method is through the method of overlaying (overlay) maps andmethods pengharkatan (scoring). The results showed that in 313 land units District Tembalang there are three (3) classland units with three (3) the suitability of land, among others: (1) Units of land class I with land suitability VerySuitable (S1) explained that land units with conditions excellent remedy settlements. This region has an area of 1,913km2 with a percentage 2:58%, ie inhibiting factor parameter wrinkle development of land and soil bearing capacity. (2)Unit class II land with land suitability Suitable (S2) explained that land units with appropriate conditions for thelocation of settlements with little obstacle. The total area is about 68 673 km2 with a percentage of 92.57%. inhibitingfactors include parameter wrinkle development of land, the carrying capacity of the soil, the soil surface drainage, erosion, flood hazard. (3) Unit Class III lands with land suitability accordance Marginal (S3) explained that land unitswith the medium (appropriately enough) to settlements with some inhibiting factors. Inhibiting factor is the slopeparameter, flowers wrinkle land, the carrying capacity of the soil, erosion, groundwater depth, access to groundwater, the number of grooves. This region has an area of 3,597 km2 with a percentage of 4.85%.
