Abstract

This study aimed to determine the capability of top soil fertility which will becuted from mining area and will be used as main material in land reclamation.This research conducted in term that there will be mining activity in TanjungBaru, Bakong Village, Singkep Barat District, Lingga Regency of Riau Province,with total area 106.62 ha. The mining activity will cut the top soil 5,608,643 m3or equal to 6,730,372 ton of soil. The cutted soil will used to be main material ofland reclamation and become a substrat for revegetation plants. The resultshowed that the capacity of study field soil fertility was categorized as very low tolow. In order to preserve the soil condition, it must be properly stored. Therecommendation from this research is, it needs to re-analysis of soil conditionbefore used to revegetation in order to test the land fertility status, and as thebasic for determine the fertilizer dose that can be applied.

Abstract

The study aims to identify the hierarchy of service centers. The unit of analysis is the village/ward insubdistricts of West and East Ungaran. The variables used were the infrastructure and facilities in 21villages/wards. Descriptive analysis using percentages, tables, and indexes. In Subdistrict East Ungaran allvillages/wards into the hierarchy of three, with the highest index value in the ward Kalirejo, while in theSubdistrict of West Ungaran, there are two villages included in the hierarchy of the two, with the highestindex value in the ward Bandarjo. West Ungaran subdistrict is a region having a population of at most andhighest density. Village of Bandarjo into a service center activities of the population. Its territory is near thehighway Semarang-Surakarta/Yogyakarta, have hight accessibility.

Abstract

Pati Regency is one of the largest rice-producing areas nationwide. However, data on the productivity of rice plants have been inadequate. So it appears the problem, 1) how the productivity of rice and how to estimate productivity of rice in support of food self-sufficiency program in Pati District? Population rice area Pati regency with Sample 85 points based on the interpretation of NDVI. The sampling method is simple random sampling. The first variable is productivity of paddy and the second variable is rice productivity estimates. The research instrument used questionnaire. Data analysis using the digital image interpretation technique and quantitative descriptive. Comparing the results mean produtivitas rice by BPS with the results of the study (2014) 5.43 with 5.5 tons / ha, the difference of 0.07 tons / ha. Among the data DISPERTANAK with the results of the study (2015) 109480 with 106,188.62 ha / year. There is a difference of 3.00%. So that remote sensing methods utilizing NDVI value in rice plants can be used to estimate the harvest area.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country with over than 300 million people population needsalternative sources of energy to overcome the future energy crisis. Based ontectonic conditions, Indonesia is a country rich in geothermal sources which canbe utilized as an alternative energy source, especially for power generation andas supporting tools to industry, agriculture, fisheries and other potential areasdevelopment. Semarang district has sufficient geothermal potential to bedeveloped, such as Gedongsongo geothermal field. Temperatures were obtainedusing the method of gas Geothermometer Fumarole in Gedongsongo is at 223ºC,thus Gedongsongo geothermal areas have highly potential for electric power andother economic activities. In the future, this potential can be utilized as analternative energy source that could be capable to fullfilled the community needs.

Abstract

The role of a teenager when flood is emergency response, teenagers are always involved in saving both livesand property. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of adolescents 15-18 years about floods,and to discover the influence of knowledge on the preparedness of adolescents 15-18 years toward floods.The research was conducted in the Village Pedurungan Kidul, District of Pedurungan, Semarang. Thesampling technique used in this study support the determination of the sample table (Isac and Michael), thusobtained is 206 samples. The analytical method used descriptive analysis and multiple linear regressionanalysis. The test results obtained simultaneously using the F statistic value of F at 177.251. At the 5% errorlevel with df 1 = 2 and df 2 = 206-2-1 = 15 obtained Ftabel = 3.04 which means that there was a significantinfluence knowledge and attitudes towards adolescent preparedness. The magnitude of the influence of bothcan be seen from the value of the determination coefficient equal to 0.636, which means that changes inpreparedness adolescents aged 15-18 years in the Village Pedurungan Kidul toward flood risk by 63.6%influenced by the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents.

Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate learning model “Better Teaching and Learning (BTL)” in improvingacticities and learning result of VIII grade students of J class in SMP N 2 Demak study year 2015/2016. Itwas a Classroom Action Research which consist of Planning, Acting, Observing, and Reflecting. Datacollection methods were documentation, observation, and writing test. Data analysis method used interactivemodel of Miles and Huberman, which consist of data reduction, data presentation, and verification.This research showed that BTL method usage could increase activities and result of social science study inthe research object. Learning activity from the beginning was 62, average result after the first cycle was 75,and after the second cycle was 94. In other word, there was point increasement till 51%. In the same way,there was an improvement too in learning result, from 70 become 75 in the first cycle, and 88 after thesecond cycle, which mean that the score increased 25%. Therefore, the BTL method should be develop inother material learning. Colleagues need to review this method, than develop it within learning process.

Abstract

This paper aims to further comprehend characteristic and influential factors oflocal potential development in peri urban area of Klaten – Central Java. Simpledescriptive statistic was applied to process the data obtained from questionairegiven to 57 respondents. The respondent are owner of various kinds of smallmediumindustries located in the peri-urban Klaten. The result of the analysisindicates that the activity of most of local based small-medium industries in periurbanKlaten are still lead to the production -oriented activities. Accordingly,based on the respondents’ perception, capital, labourers, and raw materials arechosen as the influential factors to boost the development of their local basedactivities. They are very unlikely to consider technology and innovation that mayimportant to create a more market based products/market-oriented activities asthe influential factors that should be further developed. Therefore, there is a needof paradigm shift for these economic actors to be directed to a morecontemporary thought that put element of technology and innovation as importantand should be improved rather than keep the traditional thought that onlyconsider conventional production factors as the key succes factors to developsuch economic activities.

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze the proses of development, the feasibility and affectiveness of instructionalmedia interactive CD geography subjects of environmental materials for Senior High School students ofclass XI. This study is a Research and Development (R & D). Process development using measures of R&Dfrom Sugiyono that has been modified. Instructional media developed using Adobe Flash CS6 applicationscontaining several multimedia components such as materials, drawi, simulations, exercises and games.Media which have been developed subsequently assessed for feasibility by expert media and materials.Results indicate that the instructional media CD interactive very decent with the result of media experts of88,7%, from material experts of 90%. Media tried out through learning in class. Trial was conducted todetermine the effectiveness of instructional media. Instructional media CD interactive was declared effectiveby the results of classical learning completeness ≥85%. In addition to the responses of students and teachersInteractive CD media also showed very good response.

Abstract

Naming the place is part of human culture that can not be separated. The impression of a place for the human is so profound that the naming of a place often has values that need to be preserved its existence. Recently, naming the place in the city of Cirebon not see elements of local value. Settlement development, housing and entertainment venues far from the local values that should be safeguarded. The names of the residential complex are no longer using local rules especially involve local figures for naming the place. This research aims to inventory the existing local value on toponymy. After conducting a qualitative study with phenomenology, resulting in that the pattern of naming place at the study site in District Kesambi and Harjamukti motivated by, geographic elements, biological element, folklore, socio-historic and prominent. Background naming places that have been identified in fact have values that potentially serve as a source of learning in teaching geography or social studies in school.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the effect of educational level to people’s perceptions about PLTU development inUjungnegoro village. The sampling used simple random sampling technique. The samples were 51KK whosehouses had the nearest distance with the construction project. The data collection method used questionnaireand it was used to obtain the data of educational level, people’s knowledge of PLTU, the implementation ofsocialization, and people’s reaction toward the PLTU development. The technique of data analysis used apercentage descriptive and statistic analysis (regression). The result of this study showed that there is aneffect of educational level to the people’s perception toward the PLTU development for 33.7%. With thesignificance level of 5%,
