Abstract

In telemedicine, data transmission in digital medical images and electronic medical records through the internet is vulnerable to various threats of theft and manipulation. Image watermarking is needed to provide authentication and security to medical images. This paper proposes an image watermarking scheme based on Redundant Discrete Wavelet Transform (RDWT) and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) with watermark encryption using Arnold transform. First, the original host medical image was decomposed into four subbands using RDWT. Then, DCT is applied to the LH subband of the RDWT. On the other hand, the watermark is scrambled using Arnold transform to ensure identity security. The singular value of the watermarked image is obtained by modifying the singular value of the host image and the watermark. Tests were carried out on different medical images, namely X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound, with a watermark in a proprietary logo. The host medical image is the same size as the watermark image. The result of this study can provide high authentication, imperceptibility and security in medical images, with an average PSNR value of 65.67 dB, SSIM 1, BER 0, NC 1. This scheme is resistant to JPEG compression, noise addition, filtering, image sharpening, image enhancement, geometric operations, motion blur, image sharpening, and histogram equalization.

Abstract

A fuzzy control system has been widely used in various problem solving. Its performance can be optimized using particle swarm optimization (PSO). This performance can be proven by applying it to the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control strategy on solar photovoltaic systems. Solar photovoltaic power generation systems are increasingly popular because they are clean and renewable energy sources. The power generated by solar photovoltaic is strongly influenced by solar irradiation and the load carried. In order to obtain maximum power output, an MPPT control strategy is needed. An MPPT control strategy based on fuzzy and PSO hybrid control systems is proposed in this research. The fuzzy-PSO method selects and produces the optimal duty cycle for the boost dc-dc converter in a solar photovoltaic system. Variable duty cycle due to solar irradiation and load changes can be conditioned by the fuzzy-PSO-based MPPT method to extract maximum power. The research results show that the fuzzy-PSO method can control the solar photovoltaic output voltage through a dc-dc converter to produce maximum power at various solar irradiations. Test result by applying a resistive load produces output power at the maximum point. The best result is obtained in the 100 Ohm load test: the response time of 0.0818 seconds and excellent robustness.

Abstract

High performance computing (HPC) is required for image processing especially for picture element (pixel) with huge size. To avoid dependence to HPC equipment which is very expensive to be provided, the soft approach has been performed in this work. Actually, both hard and soft methods offer similar goal which are to reach time computation as short as possible. The discrete cosine transformation (DCT) and singular values decomposition (SVD) are conventionally performed to original image by consider it as a single matrix. This will result in computational burden for images with huge pixel. To overcome this problem, the second order matrix has been performed as block matrix to be applied on the original image which delivers the DCT-SVD hybrid formula. Hybrid here means the only required parameter shown in formula is intensity of the original pixel as the DCT and SVD formula has been merged in derivation. Result shows that when using Lena as original image, time computation of the singular values using the hybrid formula is almost two seconds faster than the conventional. Instead of pushing hard to provide the equipment, it is possible to overcome computational problem due to the size simply by using the proposed formula.

Abstract

Process industries such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, and power plants require a human-machine interface system to monitor continuously. The operator usually carries out monitoring via a human-machine interface. However, it is difficult to know the condition of process equipment in real-time. The implementation of augmented reality allows engineers to visualize process equipment in real-time when conducting field inspections. The implementation of augmented reality at the human-machine interface to the fluid catalytic cracking process in an oil refinery is discussed in this paper. The design was started by developing a three-dimensional process equipment model using Autodesk Inventor. The result of the three-dimensional model then using Unity 3D software connected to the Vuforia Engine was implemented on a gadget into an augmented reality application. Data communication performance analysis was carried out using inferential statistics methods to test variations in service quality at levels 0, 1, and 2. The result of the Tukey test showed that the communication network latency value in level 2 was significantly higher than levels 0 and 1, which was 0.704±0.108 seconds. These results indicate that augmented reality can be implemented on human-machine interfaces by ensuring the quality of data communication services using Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol at levels 0 or 1.

Abstract

Abstrak— Dalam keseharian kita terkadang diperlukan pengukuran suhu maupun kelembaban lingkungan di sekitar kita. Banyak macam sensor untuk pengukuran suhu atau kelembaban, semisal LM35, S18S20 maupun DHT11. Untuk pengukuran suhu dan kelembaban lingkungan sekitar kita maka bisa dipilih sensor yang cukup murah yaitu DHT11. DHT11 memiliki output digital yang sudah terkalibrasi. Sensor ini terdiri dari komponen pengukur kelembaban tipe resistive dan pengukuran suhu melalui NTC serta terhubung dengan 8 bit uC sehingga memberikan hasil yang cukup baik, kecepatan respon yang cukup, memiliki ketahanan yang baik terhadap interferensi dan cukup murah dalam harga. Interface yang digunakan adalah single write serial interface yang cukup cepat dan mudah. Ukuran sensor yang kecil, kebutuhan komsumsi daya yang rendah dan mampu mentransmisikan outputnya dalam jarak 20 meter. Kelemahan dari sensor ini adalah akurasi yang kurang, selain itu range pengukuran suhunya hanya 0 sd 50 derajat Celcius tapi dengan harga yang cukup murah sensor ini bisa menjadi alternatif untuk dipakai dalam pengukuran suhu dan kelembaban yang tidak terlalu memerlukan akurasi yang bagus. Misalnya pengukuran suhu kamar, pengukuran suhu dan kelembaban mesin penetas dan lain-lain. Jika jarak sensor ke uC kurang dari 20 meter maka perlu dipasang resistor pull up 5K di pin data nya. Sedangkan jika jarak lebih dari 20 meter maka perlu disesuiakan besarnya resistor pull up tersebut. Catu daya yang diperlukan DHT11 ini berkisar 3.5V sampai 5V. Akses ke sensor hanya diperbolehkan lebih dari 1 detik setelah catu daya pertama kali diberikan. Perlu pula ditambhakan kapasitor 100nF diantara pin VCC dan GND untuk filter catu daya. Abstract

The output of the photovoltaic cells such as voltage and current is an essential parameter to assess the performance of photovoltaic cells. The performance of photovoltaic cells depends on the intensity of solar irradiation and the cleanliness conditions of cells. One of the factors that influence the performance of photovoltaic cells is shading. It can reduce the intensity of solar irradiation on the cells. In this study, the measurement system used two units of current and voltage sensors that simultaneously measures the performance of photovoltaic cells. In photovoltaic cells covered by a shading net with nominal shading rates of 50% and 90%, the average efficiency is 6% and 2% respectively. Meanwhile, for photovoltaic cells without covering by a shading net, the average efficiency is 11%.

Abstract

Necessity of electric power in Indonesia straight rise agree with economic and industry development a long with society growth. Because of that, government must be well to give service of electric with SUTET 500 kV.In the distribution electric power from generation to load centre used transmission line, because distance from generation to load centre is so far. Electric power in flow, they have a power loss. It’s because factor of isolator leak and corona leak then the voltage will be down (voltage dropped) and for efficiency of transmission will be down too.The aim of this research is to calculate power loss in SUTET 500 kV. This calculates had been done three different times in SUTET Ungaran – Pedan at 15th-24th August 2007 07.00 am (lead has been started), 13.00 pm (lead has been changed from low to middle) and 18.00 pm (lead on the top). As the result of this calculate, at Wednesday, 15th August 2007 at 18.00 pm have the biggest value of power loss 6.179.710,62 Watt and the smallest power loss has been done in Wednesday 15th August 2007 at 07.00 am and Wednesday 22nd August 2007 at 07.00 am 2.816.691,632 Watt.The SUTET 500 kV Ungaran – Pedan efficiency value in good condition because the average approximately 100 %. Nevertheless, there are lack of the result because calculate only in ten days. The best way to reduce this lack is continuously calculation.Keywords :PowerLoss,Voltage Dropped, Corona

Abstract

Prakiraan beban listrik merupakan salah satu cara untuk membantu perencenaan pembangkitan maupun pengeluaran energi listrik yang tepat, namun dalam penelitian yang ada masih terdapat kekurangan berupa tingkat kesalahan yang melebihi batas toleransi yang diterima pihak penyedia listrik. Prediksi beban listrik yang cepat dan akurat sangat penting untuk operasi sistem tenaga listrik yang efisien. Peningkatan konsumsi listrik daerah Ponorogo mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya namun tidak diimbangi dengan pemenuhan energi listrik yang mencukupi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi neural network untuk melakukan prakiraan listrik pada tahun 2019 mendatang. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah experiment. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan hasil neural network dengan metode backpropagation mampu melakukan prakiraan konsumsi beban listrik dengan rata-rata konsumsi beban listrik setiap bulannya sebesar 265 MVA dengan tingkat kesalahan mean square error (MSE) sebesar 0,7%.

Abstract

Pada pemakaian kabel sering diberi beban lebih dari kemampuan sebenarnyasebagaimana tertera pada kode penandaan kabel tersebut. Sehingga terjadi aliran arus listrikmelebihi kemampuan hantar arus kabel. Akibatnya kabel menjadi panas, kondisi ini akanberdampak terhadap kinerja kabel.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh arus terhadap kenaikantemperatur bagian-bagian kabel pada kabel tanah berisolasi PVC tegangan rendah.Kata Kunci: pengaruh, suhu, panas, PVC

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengimplementasikan fitur autocomplete dan algoritma levenshtein distance pada apllikasi KBBI dan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaannya dalam fitur pencarian aran kata. Metode pengembangan software yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan metode waterfall, yang terdiri dari lima bagian yaitu requirement definitions, system and software design, implementation and unit testing, integration and system testing, dan operation and maintenance.Hasil penelitian yang didapat dari pengujian black box terhadap kemunculan autocomplete adalah muncul untuk setiap kata yang diinputkan. Lalu untuk pengujian dengan algoritma levenshtein distance, saran sudah bisa muncul meskipun tidak semua saran sesuai dengan yang diharapkan dan untuk pengujian terhadap keseluruhan sistem aplikasi dihasilkan keluaran yang valid untuk setiap menu yang diuji. Pengujian keefektifan terhadap efektifitas implementasi autocomplete pada aplikasi adalah sebesar 84.615 % yang berarti fitur ini sangat efektif. Dan untuk levenshtein distance adalah sebesar 76.04 % yang berarti efektif untuk digunakan di aplikasi KBBI. Saran yang dapat diberikan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebaiknya dilakukan penambahan  menu pencarian kata dan ungkapan daerah, kata dan ungkapan asing, dan sinonim dan akronim agar kamus digital ini lebih lengkap seperti versi cetaknya.
