Abstract

Corrosion is degradation of the metal due to an oxidation reaction between the metal with many substances that exist in the environment around them and form undesirable compounds. Corrosion can not be prevented, but still can be controlled its speed. One of the corrosion control process in a material can be used a  coating and cathodic protection by providing a forced flow. At this time the research conducted will learn about the effect of the rectangular scratch defect and the acid soil pH to the needs of current protection in the impressed current cathodic protection system (ICCP). The variation of given scratch is rectangular with each area of 10 mm2, 50 mm2, 100 mm2, 150 mm2, 250 mm2 and 500 mm2. While the differences in soil pH use is pH 3, pH 5, and pH 7. Then there is also a specimen without scratch and without layers of protection that is used as a comparison. In the ICCP system installation, AISI 1045 steel is used as the cathode and graphite as the anode. The system used a rectifier that is useful for current rectifier. The flow of the ICCP protection is set such that the value of the potential difference can reach -850 mV against the reference electrode Cu / CuSO4. Measurement of the current protection on the ICCP system performed during the 7 days with daily data retrieval. After obtained the measurement of the current protection value, showed that the greatest current protection value with 500 mm2 defect area in acidic soils (pH 3) that is equal to 1.696 mA. While the smallest current protection in area of 10 mm2 with normal soil that is equal to 0.032 mA. The influence of these two variables were calculated using multiple regression statistical analysis so as to get the equation Y = 0,11 + 0,008 X1 + 0,0004 X2. Where the value of X1 as soil pH conditions, X2 as scratch defect, and Y as current protection.

Abstract

Selection of the optimal location of a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is a very important decision for Internet Service Provider (ISP), because it can increase the new market. In the process of development of BTS should consider some criteria to obtain the optimal location of the BTS as business criteria, technical criteria and support criteria. The location of this research was conducted at PT. SIMS Branch Yogyakarta. The process of analysis is combining GIS and AHP. GIS methods is used to process spatial data from alternatives location of BTS and AHP is used for the analysis of decision making. The use of this method is excellent in decision-making with many criteria. The both combination will complement each other's weaknesses. In the process of determining an alternate location, spatial data were analyzed using GIS methods to obtain the alternatives location can be used as a BTS sites, each alternative is ALT 1 at Moh. Yamin street, ALT 2 at Gatotkaca street, ALT 3 at Ringan Harjo street and ALT 4 at Diponegoro street, each of the sites are located in district of Bantul, Yogyakarta.  Then to determine the most optimal alternative of BTS sites can use AHP method. The results of process data using AHP show business criteria weights is 0.688; technical criteria weights is 0.238 and support criteria weights is 0.074. While the order of the selected alternative is ALT 4 has the highest value with the weight of 0.358; ALT 2 weights is 0319; ALT 1 weights is 0.213 and ALT 3 weights is 0.110.

Abstract

Makalah ini membahas tentang konsep keterpercayaan komponen perangkat lunak yang merupakan salah satu pertimbangan utama bagi pengembang perangkat lunak dalam mengimplementasikan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak berbasis komponen. Pada bagian awal makalah, penulis menjelaskan mengenai konsep penggunaan ulang perangkat lunak dan kaitannya dengan keterpercayaan komponen perangkat lunak. Selanjutnya, bagian inti makalah membahas secara detail mengenai metode pengujian komponen perangkat lunak dan 4 (empat) metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat keterpercayaan dari komponen perangkat lunak. Di akhir makalah, penulis memberi gambaran mengenai proses seleksi komponen perangkat lunak pada domain industri.

Abstract

Various studies in the field of traumatic effect or stress after disaster, commonly known as PSTD or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder have been caried out. Many researchers have tested the effects of disasters and PTSD, but the correlation value are different. The purpose of this study was to obtain the actual value of the correlation. This study collected the correlation value of 21 existing research results. The results of this study showed that the average of correlation is 2SD greater than 0 equal to 0.069864. This value has been indicated that there is positive correlation between disaster and Stress (PTSD), so the hypothesis is accepted by the population correlation value 0.074256, sampling error 0.43%. It shows that disaster variable always positively correlated to increased stress behavior among adults.

Abstract

Education is very important and one of the keys of the progress of a country. Basic education or elementary school is the first stage of a long journey for a student in taking his or her education. The more parents has awareness in the importance of an education so the more the parents will enroll their children to study in school. Although the number of schools in a certain place is already considered enough, admission of new students still become a unique phenomenon because number of prospective new students entering school is huge but the admission method still uses manual techniques. Whether using a test or previous level report book, the rank and decision making about the acceptance of the students is still done manually. It can also provide opportunities for certain parties to commit fraud in the admission selection from subjective point of view (outside of the fixed criteria) which makes incorrect calculation and grading so the results are not properly valid. This research would apply the rules that is formed from the decision trees on admission of new students selection process at SDIT An-Najah Jatinom Klaten. A decision tree consists of a set of rules for dividing a heterogeneous population into smaller parts, and more homogeneous with noticing to the goal variables. C4.5 algorithm is one of the algorithms used to form a decision tree. The purpose of this research is to apply the rules that are formed from the C4.5 decision tree algorithm in admission of new students selection process. The registration (log) is expected to be more structured through this system so operator can easily and quickly process the calculation and ranking the prospective new student. Service becomes more rapid, accurate, effective, and efficient in terms of time and place because the piled print files (takes place and time) can be concise (stored in the database). The results shows that the system is able to provide recommendations for the admission process based on the criteria and history that have ever happened. Based on sample data of 100 data among several criterias (religion, age, the average time from the each student’ place to the school, parents income per month, number of siblings)is is found that religious criteria have the highest gain value in the calculation of the initial node, ie by 0.367877. Finnaly, this system has been running correctly and can help the school admission committee in the selection of new candidate students.

Abstract

It is a vital importance to analyze road traffic accidents in order to improve traffic security management. Currently, most of the traffic information analysis is limited to general statistical analysis, which is hard to explore the rules hiding in its dataset and also difficult to find the spatial distribution characteristics. This paper aims to analyze the road traffic accidents dataset based on data mining method of K-Means clustering and visualize the result as a map. Firstly, data are extracted for clustering road segments based on similar characteristics that lies on the dataset, i.e. the number of accidents, the number vehicles involved, and the number accidents’ victims. Secondly, the result of clustering are presented as a map that aims to assist the police officer in identifying and evaluating some black spot areas (accident prone areas) in a monthly period, hence monitoring the safety of highways users can be anticipated earlier.

Abstract

Fibers and synthetic core as a component of composite sandwich proved costly and environmentally unfriendly, while Indonesia's natural resources will be very abundant natural materials and also supported human resources still need a lot of land to work. So back to nature is a smart move and wise for the condition. Innovation of the natural material made to eliminate weaknesses in their mechanical properties. Particle Wood or particle board  can be used as a component of composite sandwich. In this research, the manufacture of composite sandwich with skin  of agave or sisal fibers (random distribution) and core of composit  sandwich is  particle board. Variable thickness of the core wood used is 10 and 15 mm. In the process of making the sandwich composite wood core is made through compression molding process by means of pressing the composite mold. The presence alkali treatment of agave or sisal  fibre at 2 % Concentration NaOH solvent. The results showed a composite sandwich with a span length of 60 mm has an average bending moments in composite sandwich with 10 mm thick core of 24,4 N/mm2 and for 15 mm thick core of 16,3  N/mm2. Sampling Bending Strength Test 3 pieces each test sample. Macro Fracture from bending test  is dominated the damage intererface failure between core and skins,  fiber pull out,  failed to pull and shear fracture core. The alkali treatment 2% solvent of NaOH for 2 (two) hours increase 12 % bending stress.

Abstract

Yogyakarta is one of the provinces which became a tourist destination. There are so many tourist objects that have not been known by tourists, both the location and how to access that must be taken towards the attraction. Therefore, the information technology (IT) can be used to indicate the location of tourist attractions making it easier for travelers to reach the tourist attractions. As an initial step of literature used to collect various data about tourism. This app is designed based on the site map that was set before continuing with the implementation of applications using PHP and MySQL. This study focused on the use of the Google Maps API to show a map of the area attractions based on the coordinates of the region.
