Abstract

Sementara beberapa penelitian telah membuktikan bahwa Aloe Vera mengandung banyak senyawa aktif alami sebagai antibacterialagent, seperti Saponin, pemanfaatannya saat ini belum optimal. Ekstraksi padat-cair digunakan untuk mengekstrak Saponin dari Aloe Vera. Penelitian ini membahas penentuan kondisi operasi ekstraksi dan juga kinetika pemodelan untuk menentukan desain nilai parameter. Selain itu, uji pendahuluan aktivitas antibakteri dari ekstrak Aloe Vera dilakukan. Hasil yang diperoleh kondisi operasi optimum ekstraksi Aloe Vera dengan aquadest sebagai pelarut selama 90 menit dan suhu 100oC. Nilai parameter desain yang diperoleh dari proses ekstraksi yang kc = 14,76 cm. menit-1, De = 1.97 x10-6 cm2.minutes-1, dan H = 0,4435. Ekstrak ini juga terbukti menghambat aktivitas bakteri dengan daerah yang diperoleh dari zona jelas 0,0044 cm2.

Abstract

Simulator machine of QRS wave has the input of PQRST as well as electrocardiograph wave parameter. The input of PQRST wave is tuned by setting the value of its amplitude and wavelength. The value is chosen based on the heart patients data that have been previously recorded. The validation value corresponds to the regulator value. Further, the validation value is compared to the short term electrocardiograph data that have been recorded for 5 minutes. The statistical and histogram based time domain analysis method are the two simplest analysis method of heart rate variation. The statistical analysis consists of two steps, i.e. the average and standard deviation of normal heart rate direct measurement. This measurement yields a negative deflection value of Q from R wave of 25%, a positive deflective value of R wave of 1.6-3 mV, and a negative deflection of S wave of 0.1-.5 mV.

Abstract

Design work place in accordance with the organization's business processes will encourage efficiency and effectiveness of the functioning of the organization in order to achieve organizational goals. The following journal discussed the design of the layout of the office (office layout) based on business processes and organization. Structuring lay out in the building PTKS DR Plant is also concerned with the health minister of the republic Indonesia Decision No. 1405 / MENKES / SK / XI / 2002 concerning the health requirements of the work environment of offices and industry as well as the Company's internal regulations. The method used is Activity relatioship chart (ARC) ARC is based on business process organsiasi when relations between units in detail can be obtained from the job description, after a calculated area of the room with the organization of the Division of DR Plant obtained that from the extensive building area of 3,297 m2 utilized measuring 2,478 m2 and there is still a vast area of 819 m2 which can be utilized by other units in need.

Abstract

The destination of this research was to determine the effect of rotational speed on the characteristics of fatigue in centrifugal casting alloy A356 aluminum alloy two-wheeled vehicle with a low round and 350 RPM and 550 RPM middle rounds. The casting in this research using a centrifugal casting method. The material used is a cast aluminum alloy A356. Variations rounds used in centrifugal casting is 350 and 550 RPM. Casting process carried out by pre-heating the mold 2500oC, 7500oC casting temperature and with the addition of titanium boron grain refiner 12:08%. Results foundry then made specimen for rotary bending fatigue test in accordance with JIS Z 2274 standard 1. The examination has been done is the rotary bending fatigue test. The examination results showed that the wheels with a round 0 RPM produces a voltage amplitude relationship with the number of cycles σa = 350 RPM rotation have a relationship with the voltage amplitude and at 550 RPM rotation have a relationship with the voltage amplitude.

Abstract

Adsorption of carbon dioxide is a vital process in biogas purification. A previous study has narrowed down the choice of ion exchange resins for the adsorption process into two commercial resins, Dowex Marathon A, and Purolite. Dowex Marathon A boasts the advantage of having no need of any pretreatments to use. Purolite, although needing pretreatment before usage, costs only roughly a third of Dowex Marathon A. The objective of the study is to decide on which resin is best suited to commercially produce biogas free from pollutants, most of which is carbon dioxide. Both resins at their fresh state were tested for durability by checking on levels of carbon dioxide content at set time intervals. Results suggest the Purolite resin to be more durable than the Dowex Marathon A resin. Data of gas passing through Dowex showed relatively high concentration of CO2 after 10 minutes of operation. While Purolite showed its first signs of CO2 after 20 minutes of operation. Further tests are conducted to compare fresh and regenerated Pirolite resins. Comparison between fresh and postregeneration Purolite showed relatively consistent results where the regenerated resin showed its first signs of CO2 after 25 minutes.

Abstract

Business Process Re-engineering is a process of re-designing business processes to improve performance. Business Process Reengineering that can be applied to help improve small and medium businesses. Manufacturing companyis a company engaged in the manufacture of test equipment Soil, Concrete, Asphalt, Hydrology and Meteorology. Organizational structure comprised of the management and some parts. The parts that include production, logistics, finance, and marketing sections with each section consists of several workers. The equipment ordered by the customer and is prepared to do the production of the raw material on demand. Target market of the product is universities, private institutions, government agencies and personal. The problem that occurs is in operational management, a lot of processes are not controlled, the documentation that mess, which still manually recording, data is not integrated and persuahaan primitive culture. Objective use of the method is the concept of Business Process Reengineering is a processing system will be computerized for the sake of presenting information more quickly, accurately, effectively and efficiently, as well as improvements in operational management system in order to survive and thrive among the other competitors. Which is of course to increase customer satisfaction and product quality, improve the satisfaction of the supplier or partner for cost efficiency and improve the welfare and satisfaction of employees. The results of business process reengineering in the form of customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and supplier satisfaction (3P) and the data are well documented and directed.

Abstract

Many factors such as the use of low-quality lens, inappropriate image acquisition technique, and the uncertainty of environment condition affect digital image acquisition process. As a result, noisy image may be obtainedwhich is difficult to be recognized, processed, and analysed. The most occurred noise is salt and pepper which appears as white and black spots in image. This noise is usually removed or suppressed using median filter. However, improper size of median filter kernel may yield in poor result. This work aims to find the most suitable median filter kernel size combination using Breadth search, Depth Searchand Generate and Testmethods in order to obtain the best median filtering result. In this work, four median filter kernel sizes are used, i.e. 3×3, 5×5, 7×7, and 9×9. Filtering performance using each obtained combination is defined by measuring the Mean Square Error (MSE) of the filtered and unnoisy image (ground truth). Result shows that the best median filter kernel size combination is {3×3}. This combination is obtained using Breadth Search Method with the MSE of 27.0308.

Abstract

With increasing competition in the industry, SMEs are required to be able to do continuous improvement to improve its performance so as to compete with other SMEs and able to apply the concept of lean production. In CV SBR, demand will increase in Ramadan. With the increase in orders, then the CV SBR required to continue to meet customer demand in a timely manner in accordance consumer expectations. This research will try to apply the concept of lean production by using value stream mapping and analysis of waste using the Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT) in order to increase the productivity of the production system in the CV Sogan Batik Rejodani. The purpose of this study is to determine the percentage of Value Added, Non-Value Added, and Necessary but Non-Value Added Activity of batik production system. Furthermore, to determine the design of future state value stream mapping in CV SBR. Obtained results are given in the form of proposed improvements that can reduce the Non-Value Added Activity from 43% to 13%. In addition the draft future state value stream mapping can reduce cycle time from 16115.88 seconds to 15062.96 seconds and can reduce the lead time from 24589,028 seconds to 15932.62 seconds. With the reduction in value-added activity, it can increase the output of the product in a day so that the productivity of the production system increases.

Abstract

One of the service  industry in Indonesia is wedding Organizer. It’s operation  is fasilitation in wedding fiesta. To increase the volume of operation, the Jeng Dewi Wedding Organizer has to createsquality of services. It can be done by increasing engagements and relations amongs employeecustomer and the company. Engagement amongs of them  will be the main factor  of the company’s sucsess. The customers has to be made satisfied by services. They are not satisfied by rational but olso by emotional. The customers which satisfied by services will results  a big profit. To do it coompany has to create a big engagements among of them. It needs an analysis, which can use  Human Sigma to measure the value of engagement. Human Sigma is a tool to analyse   the person’s emotinal . The result of this analysis is 35.5% for the value Human Sigma, 49 % for the value of Customers Engagement and 49 % for the value of  Employee Engagement. So the corporation  has to increase  all of this parameter.
