Abstract

The theology faculty is the vessel of developing basic Islamic studies that have an important position among the other faculties. The experience of changing institution to be university shown that theology faculty “desert” of applicants. Therefore, the readiness and progress of Islamic Theology faculty under the State Islamic University (UIN) of course determine the future history of Islamic Theology.This struggle would be faced with all the seriousness of the academic community. Establishing the Faculty of Islamic Theology in the new form to be a demand. On the other hand, the academic communities of Islamic Theology Faculty are required to initiate a new paradigm in the world of work.

Abstract

Globalization has been the biggest influence in human life in all areas. Therefore, it becomes a challenge to adapt to the global world with no identity left as the Islamic Higher Education (IHE). In fact, Islamic Theology Department aspart of the IHE must beable to adapt quickly to the global world, in order not to befar be hind in education that has been evolved. Settling in all aspectsof course veryi mportant in order to face the future withthe expectance. The Experience of Islamic State (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga shown how the IHE included as the Department of Islamic Theology had done the alignment with the global world.

Abstract

Pascamodenisme had been actively sneaking in all sectors of life and leads to a change in setting values and lifestyle. As willingly to lerated,if it controlled atmosphere and pulse Western life, it is also certainlyappears to be an image and the image is immediately admired and exportedto all of the world, including the Muslim world, in various means andchannels. The danger is two-dimensional generated by secularization onthe one hand, and bribes pascamodenisme value which is also the last issueof secularism itself is spread widely through the process of globalization.To restore this condition, the passage must necessarily be given to thecreed to play a memorable role as an identity forming and the identity insociety. In addition, the process also needs to be given in solid supportwithout split by major institution in society, especially in family institution,educational institution-formal and informal –social growth, empire and themass media.

Abstract

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) forecloses the intellectual attention and scientific challenges that are able to provide a positive solution in dynamic changes. Islamic application law on ”dejure and defacto” as well as challenges that actually require the application of thought in law that is more dynamic and solution adaptiveresponding to the up to date issues, and in turn there will be the suit to the existence and provide the chance of theology and challenges of dynamic changing of how it should be in the development og theology. The faculty of theology can be a strategic role as a cornerstone institution development is surrounded by the researchers qualified as the agent of change to the human life.

Abstract

Faculty of Islamic Theology and Communication have an important position as a scientific core or basic sciences in Islamic study that have a strategic role both in the development of Islamic knowledge or in character building. However, it is a reality, Theology is a faculty that has fewer students than other faculties. But in fact, they had good quality. In this regard, the revitalization and empowerment at the facultyof Islamic Theology is an urgent matter. The article is focused on the search and analyze the existence of the Islamic Theology and communication department of Islamic State of Sultan MaulanaHasanuddin, both in terms of its strengths and weaknesses, as well as the expectations and the challenges it faced. Therefore, thisstudy included internal institutional and academic aspects and society's view toward the existence of the Islamic Theology and Communication Department.

Abstract

Local wisdom is the precious heritage in building a dignified society. Therefore, it should be explored and promoted in human life. This agenda must necessarily be carried out by an institution that has sufficient capability and capacity. Faculty as the heart of the nation with its human resources should have been involved in the processing of thinking out the wisdom. The involvement would be done gradually and continuously from planning to transfer to the users (community) with the appropriate and accurate approaches. Revitalization and re-actualization, the transformation of culture, cultural development priorities, and the development of wisdom values-based character building through development, to be a step of local wisdom re-actualization should be part of the theology faculty activity.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought a change in materialism and pragmatism trend. Material satisfaction is increasingly becoming an obsession even at the sacrifice of his moral life. This phenomenon occurs not only in politics or government bureaucracy but also in a lot of education and college academic communities. In this regard, the efforts of revitalization work of ethic paradigm based on religious morality become important to be strengthened. The Expectation from this community effort is that the academic community base on intellectual integrity and academic honesty. This work ethic can be developed through moral and religious consciousness that work only to get Allah's approval.

Philosophy of faith and Humanitiesdepartment is one ofthe important programs at the Faculty of Islamic Theology. In regardto the understanding and practicing of the true religion and avoid thedeviation and the emergence of deviant teachings, the sciences thatincluded at Philosophy of faith and Humanities department are thesciences which was very important to achieve the goal of study. Theexistence of Philosophy of faith and Humanities department isdepend on students quantity, the competent provider and integralpolicy of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. For thatsome policies should be initiated for strengthening oftheologyfaculty existence.

The interpretation of ushuluddin is how the human relationship with God and man to man to avoid inequality, the human beings should be able to put himself as a servant of God ('abd) are always subjecting themselve stoper form the ritual worship. However, as a son human political the human being should also be capable of understanding social phenomena that occurinthe community, andprovide the solutions to the problems that occurin the community in the real life, as well ashow to create the social conditions to be a prosperous society that is blessed by the Almighty.
