Abstract

Web based application has been used by many organizations to support their business activities within the organization. Sometimes, that application requires the availability of information from other parties outside the organization. Other than that, there is a need to exchange information between applications in a particular organization with applications in other organizations. The applications may be on the different systems and platforms. There is a technology that can be used, commonly known as a web service. JSON-RPC is an alternative to build a web service. This technology involvestwoapplications that are connected via a data connection. During the connection, an application can executes a remote procedure from web service provider to do implementation web service using JSON-RPC technology, with PHP platform for client side application  and java platform for server side application.

Abstract

Development of the Internet encourages the movement of traditional business to electronic business (e-business). Internet has change the business and make range of services more widely. Internet enables anyone running business with the prospective buyers from all over the world. Internet will help business local to find supplier from local or other countries more easily, there for the business will run more simple. E-business enables buyers and sellers running business without face to face, but communication and transactions can be done electronically. All this activities can be done through the Internet. Most of business people has not been using the internet as a business media especially in Sumatera. Whereas there are a lot of commodity come from Sumatera that can be sold to overseas markets.A few business people do not using the internet while running their business transaction. They does not looking for the supplier by using the internet. For example, through internet business people could directly purchase goods from China which is more cheaper than Indonesia. All these processes can be done through the internet. It is Very easy to find products or selling products on the Internet. But often the difficulty is how to make the payment process for all transactions. Bank has a very important role in the payment process. For domestic payments can easily be done through Bank transfer, transfer via ATM, Internet banking and SMS banking. However, to process payments from or to overseas, banks process takes several days. Payment process can be done in real time is a payment using Paypal. Paypal is a payment instrument that can foster the development of e-business. Paypal will make the small traders on the internet can receive payments from prospective buyers from overseas or make a payment when making transactions abroad through the Internet.

Abstract

Now, video tracking is a feature that used a lot in computer gaming. This feature makes games more interesting because it offers direct interaction between the player and computer while in the same time player can exercise his/her body and eye coordination. For this reason, implementing video tracking in virtual boxing is a challenging task. Compared to the standard computer game controllers, controlling game using video tracking is more appealing and attractive. The aimed is to explore the used of video tracking at developing a simple virtual boxing. In this study the used method for detecting object such punch types was a Mean-shift method. This detection was done based on the moving area of the object’s surfaces, thus this information could be used to differentiate punches type, which is classified as Jab, Hook, and Uppercut. The making of Virtual Boxing comprises of video tracking development and gaming design. This development of virtual boxing involves a number of configurations such as webcam configuration, color tolerance setting in the detector, and tolerance of the color detection. Every video tracking modification and gaming design is evaluated thoroughly. All of configuration was evaluated to ensure that this virtual boxing meet the initial expectation. The result shows that the punch detection reading in using library color tracking using Mean-shift in a boxing game is good enough, but wasn’t perfect yet. The Mean-shift method needs to be combined with other method in order to detect punches perfectly.

Abstract

A complexity growing enterprise make the management in a bigger demanding to the IS function. They need access to the data anytime and anywhere easily, accurately and consistently in all departments. IS is encouraged to get the changes of business condition faster, and can act the data sharing within every department. The problem in using the support from IT, the investment for the IT and Information System (IS) are often in a wrong direction and decreasing of the strategy in IT and IS are often different from the enterprise business strategy. It is happened because the development of the IS, done without making the enterprise blue print first as the foundation for the development of the IS. So with the complexity of the enterprise development forces the enterprise to make continue customization to the building IS which of course need much financial support. IS duplication, no IS integration among them, and the difference platform among every IS; also become the failure factor an enterprise to get the optimal benefit from the using of IT and IS. Because of that, a blue print from the enterprise becomes something very important to be built as a foundation of the using IT and IS. The development architecture can be done in the beginning enterprise was shaped or even in the time where the enterprise is being run. Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) is a modern approach to do the planning for the data quality to achieve the IS mission. EAP is also a process of definition of some architecture such as data architecture, application architecture in using the information to support the business. The blue print, resulted together with EAP then can be used as the foundation in the IS development, by this we hope the IS which has been build can be adjusted with business strategy from the office of PPTSP so that the mission can be achieved from this publik services.

Abstract

Loss documents and the high cost of document storage space are a major problem often faced by many organizations at this company, especially for those who have large amounts of paper documents. Therefore, we need a proper solution with the help of information technology known as the Document Management System. With this system, the paper documents are converted in digital form and stored in a disk or other digital storage facility (paperless).Furthermore to the search, discovery, display, printing, distribution and even documents can be done virtually through computer networks. Security policy can also be applied strictly in the management of these documents, so the only party entitled to can access the document according to its designation. Protection against the document is done digitally, so that relatively more secure and easier to use.Document Management System based on Paperless are effective and useful in an office to streamline in the process of documentation. The main benefit is that users can find needed information quickly, so it can help the process become faster, better, cheaper, and reduce environmental impacts (Green Computing). In this system of administration are routine operations performed by each individual in an organization or office activities.Technology and administration without paper is the efficiency in the use of paper, especially in terms of paperwork and correspondence in order to achieve certain objectives in managing the administrative management system or the idea of a paperless office. This paper present a paperless model for the university management system. A survey has been conducted that enlisted some fundamental characteristics required to implement successful paperless environment.

Abstract

Beam is an structural element whose main function to carry external load in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the beam. Theoretically, it is assumed when the concrete starts to crack the tension in the concrete can be neglected. Bending moment at the cross section at the location of the crack is carried by a pair of coupled forces; compressive force happens in the compressive zone above the neutral line and the tension force happens in the tension zone below the neutral line. In this kind of flexural respons, it seems that the middle part of the cross section in the vicinity of the neutral line does not have to carry any stress. This Fact gives the idea to combine normal concrete and light weight concrete in a sandwich structure. The main intention of this investigation is to conduct an experimental study on the flexural behavior of three layer concrete sandwich beam. The central layer is made of light weight concrete with compressive strength of 30 MPa. The center layer is sandwiched between two outer layer made of normal concrete with compressive strength 50 MPa. The test was conducted on four beams speciments with dimensions of 2100 mm in length, 100 mm width and depth of 200 mm. Flexural beam subjected to static and cyclic load. Observation on load-deflection curves show that flexural strength capacity is determined by the loading systems, the contact conditions of the interfaces in composite system due to the use and the material properties of connectors in the middle part of the concrete beams.

Abstract

Earthquakes are unpredictable when it comes so anticipation is needed as early as possible. One way to anticipate earthquakes is to design buildings or houses that are resistant to earthquakes. After a small earthquake, the building must still be able to fully functional within a short time and repairing costs are not expensive. After a medium earthquake, the building can function again after repairing and strengthening of the main parts of the structure is completed. Meanwhile, after a major earthquake, the building may no longer can be used but the occupants of the building can be saved and the items inside the building can be protected. Any additional security value of a house requires adequate additional cost. Security value is not simply a house that is free from thieves, but natural disturbances such as floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and others. But all of those values are fair price for the security and comfort.

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss the state-of-the-art models in estimating, evaluating, and selecting among nonlinear mathematical models for obtaining the optimal solution of the optimization problems which involve the nonlinear functions in their constraints. We review theoretical and empirical issues including Newton’s method, linear programming, quadratic ogramming, quadratically constrained programming, parabola, ellipse and the relation between parabola and ellipse. Finally, we outline our method called paraboloid-ellipsoid programming which is useful for solving economic forecasting and financial time-series with non-linear models.
