Abstract

Important factor in planning road maintenance and improvement include basic soil strength data, material properties, composition and thickness of existing pavement layers. Subgrade strength on the ground as the California Bearing Ratio (CBR), depending on conditions at the time of implementation and for ongoing service operation. Damage to roads that had been common, costly fact CBR data collection and maintenance efforts to slow constraints contributed to the severity of the condition of pavement is frequently traveled by traffic as people drive the economy. To obtain the above data, has introduced a tool Konus Dynamic Penetration (Dynamic Cone Penetrometer), which is a tool designed to test the strength of granular and subgrade layers of pavement quickly. Pavement layer is meant is the foundation of granular, soil stabilization, including the subgrade. Testing is done continuously to a depth of 80 cm and if necessary can be deepened with a connecting rod measuring up to 120 cm depth. In the last ten years, DCP has been widely used in obtaining data for pavement design CBR road so it's time DCP method can be used as test standards in Indonesia.

Abstract

Motor diesel is growing rapidly now, and have a better performance, technology and construction machinery has undergone innovation - innovation that spectacular, fuel system, air intake systems and other systems, which can support the engine performance is also experiencing a very recent innovation. Diesel engines are usually called compression ignition engine (compression ignition engines), how ignition fuel is done by spraying fuel into the air that has been pressurized and high temperature. Currently diesel engine with a small total volume produce big power, is none other than the already wide use of the turbo charger to add the intake air pressure and increase the effective pressure, increased air temperature in the cylinder so the engine power increased by approximately 25% compared to engines without turbo chargers . Turbo Charger driven by exhaust gases from combustion, where the turbo charger has two main components of the turbine wheel, made of heat-resistant cast metal and compressor wheels, made of aluminum alloy in rollers and then done.

Abstract

The filler is difficult to get it in nature, hence to get it always use filler from fine aggregate and medium aggregate, cement and lime. Minus filler in HRS-WC caused bleeding. Filler characteristic have much space surface in unit and can absorbed asphalt bitumen and decrease void. Fly ash is the fine particulate matter (filler) which is prepitated from the stack of pulverized coal-wood fired boiler at electrical power generating plants PT. RAPP. The primary benefits of using fly ash are (1) environmental incentives becaused material used does not have to be wasted (2) cost saving, becaused fly ash is typically cheaper than cement and lime, and (3) availability, because fly ash sources are distributed geographically across the state.HRS-WC is a high durability HMA, it have more than asphalt bitumen and filler. Asphalt bitumen increase bitumen film thickness and filler increase void. Research activities are underway to investigate more effective and efficient ways of adding fly ash at the HMA production site. This research with 60 total sample specimen of HMA, variation of fly ash are 0 %, 6 % ; 10 % and 12 % and variation of bitumen are 5 %, 5,5 %, 6 %, 6,5 % and 7 %.

Abstract

Indonesia dilalui oleh dua jalur gempa dunia yakni Jalur Sirkum Pasific (Circum Pacific Belt) dan jalur Trans Asia (Trans Asiatic Belt). Kondisi ini menunjukan bahwa Indonesia merupakan daerah yang rawan terjadinya gempa bumi. Akhir-akhir ini daerah-daerah di Indonesia dilanda gempa bumi yang banyak menelan korban jiwa dan menghancurkan rumah penduduk dan gedung.Pada penelitian ini penulis menitikberatkan pada analisis denah bangunan tidak simetris dalam memikul beban dengan menggunakan SAP2000. Tipe struktur yang dianalisis adalah rumah sederhana bertingkat 2 yang berbentuk tidak simetris baik pada sumbu x maupun pada sumbu y. Uuntuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh bentuk denah terhadap kemampuan dalam menerima beban gempa, dalam hal ini dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SAP2000.Dari hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan SAP2000 untuk bangunan dengan denah tidak simetris dimana terjadi gaya torsi hampir pada semua elemen struktur (kolom dan balok). Pada bangunan tidak simetris gaya torsi yang terbesar terjadi pada daerah pertemuan struktur bangunan pada arah sumbu x dan y. Alternatif penanganan dalam rangka mengurangi gaya torsi yang terjadi pada struktur diatas adalah dengan memisahkan secara struktur bagian pertemuan dari bangunan pada arah sumbu x dan y.
