Abstract

The sun is a source of alternative energy that is not polluting and can be used either directly or indirectly. Based on that we can use the energy of sunlight to heat water system with thermosiphon effects, by using a means of collecting solar radiation (solar collector) which absorbs the radiation and convert into heat through the absorber plate and forwarded to a pipe containing water. Absorber plate layer affects the effectiveness of the absorption of solar heat collectors. Solar collector is analyzed in the variation of the absorber plate layer on the parallel pipe, absorber plate is positioned above and below the parallel pipeline. Experiment conducted starting at 9:00 am to 15:00 pm. Effectiveness of heat absorption is obtained by using a layer under the parallel pipe plate at 11.2%, while for the layers above and below the plate parallel pipelines reached 17.8%. Differences in the efficiency of the obtained results that the use of layers above and below the absorber plate parallel pipeline more effectively.

Abstract

Pilar is a structure under the bridge. The presence of pillars in river flow cause changes in river flow patterns. These changes include the formation of down flow (downward flow) and Horseshoe vortex (horseshoe vortex) around the pillar. Changes in flow pattern will result in local scour around the pillar. Local scour is going on around the pillar causes the river bottom around the pillar so that the water flow transported formed scour hole. Scour hole is formed can destabilize the pillar. Stability is very important pillar in the forwarding function of vehicle load to the foundation. This study aims to determine the maximum scour depth value of each form the pillars for any changes debit.Penelitian is done on a permanent uniform flow conditions (steady uniform flow) with three variations of flow rates that occur within the capacity of the appliance Multy-purpose teaching flume.

Abstract

Vehicle for pengakut goods such as trucks, have tended to point loading up backward toward the center of the body. The back of the truck so the suspension will experience a greater deflection than the suspension on the front. Truck rear suspension system uses leaf springs, which will undergo the toughest conditions in the compressive load over and over again, so the potential for failure due to material fatigue limit passing.In this research investigation into the leaf springs on trucks carrying sand in the form of a broken failure. A broken spring release of a series of truck suspension system to cut the rupture area and certain areas that want to be observed as a test specimen.

Abstract

Every day fenomena at Tuanku Tambusai Street (Kumu), there some public transport still take or drop passanger at the unsafe place, that, while the road capasity is decrease, this can be disturbing the other vehycle that trought that road. Beside that the survey at buzy road, there are shop, campus and other lokation that can create high traffic rise and pull. To solve this problem, have to analize the condition of the road now and 5 year later, is the road capacity still under the alowed tolerance or it’s execceded.This research used Survey Method, that put some surveyor at road that want to survey to count vehicle that trought the road in 1 hour, with 5 minuttes interval. From the data obtained and analyzed primarily related to the performance of the road on existing condition and the next 5 years.From the analysis, where the value of the degree of saturation at 0.24 which is still far from the value of tolerance limits required by MKJI 1997. So for the current conditions of road are still able to accommodate traffic flow that occurs.

Abstract

We can make two catagories plastic, Thermoplastic and Thermosetting Plastic. Thermoplastic is plastic that did not need any chemical in forming bend and can be meld if it heated and than back to be plastic again. Thermosetting plastic need chemical in forming bend and can not be meld with heat to reformMany processes industry to mak this product. One of that process industry is Injection Molding. Injection Molding is a technique manufactur to make industries product in the production process. The basic element at Injection Molding is the injection section idle and the injector section is activeThe principle of this process is to perform and cooling the liquid in to Mold, afther it cold and freezed, than it can be put out from the mold. Abstract

Based on data from Statistics Indonesia from 1999 to 2010, where the number of passenger airports in Indonesia is likely to increase. This increase in the number of passengers when not accompanied by an increase in airport facilities would have caused problems in the next few years, mainly related to the comfortable of passengers at the airport.For that analysis needs to be done to get the models arrival and departure passengers at the existing condition. Independent variables used in this study is a population (X1), PDRB (X2), hotel occupancy (X3), the number of foreign tourists (X4), PMDN (X5), PMA (X6), the number of students (X7), number of lecturer (X8), exports (X9), import (X10), the number of large construction companies (X11), the number of workers (X12).

Abstract

Among the factors that influence the behavior of the compressive strength of concrete after placing of concrete is the presence/absence of concrete curing and how it's cure done. Concrete curing intended as an effort to maintain the continuity of the hydration process of cement with water to binder aggregate until a certain time. Loss of water during the hydration process can reduce the quality of concrete, especially concrete compressive strength. Meanwhile in the field (on projects that are less supervision) are often encountered - especially in the column - after the mold is opened (with the opening of varying ages), concrete is left alone without curing. This research review the extent to which variations in the treatment of curing post placing of concrete affect the compressive strength of concrete. For it was made in the form of cylindrical concrete specimens with varying age of treatment (by way of concrete with a plastic cover) after the mold is opened, which is 1 day, 3 day, 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, and 28 days. In addition to the specimens was made with the standard curing for comparison.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari tentang efek Program PemeliharaanPencegahan (PMP) implementasi pada sebuah pabrik kelapa sawit. Ada banyak proses yangterlibat dalam mengekstraksi minyak dari minyak tandan buah sawit. Termasuk proses utama(mayor ), proses pengolahan minyak kelapa sawit adalah penerimaan dan grading buah kelapasawit, sterilisasi, perontok, pencernaan, penekan, klarifikasi dan produksi kernel. Ada beberapafaktor penting yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam implementasi PMP di sebuah pabrik kelapa sawit.Faktor-faktor ini terdiri dari program pemeliharaan preventif, penjadwalan, inspeksi dan frekuensipekerjaan pemeliharaan. Penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan PMP padapabrik minyak kelapa sawit mampu memberikan ketersediaan mesin lebih tinggi dan tingkatkegagalan mesin lebih rendah. Tulisan ini menggunakan analisis matematis untuk mengevaluasiketersediaan mesin di pabrik kelapa sawit. Terakhir, penulis telah mengusulkan beberapa sarantentang bagaimana meningkatkan efektivitas PMP yang ada di pabrik kelapa sawit.

Abstract

Bunches of fresh fruit brought to the boiling station ( sterilizer ) by using lorries . Work environment changing and dynamic loading causes a decrease in the performance of a lorry wheel bearing causing damage to the average Lori damage after operating for 250 hours ( 31 days of production ) with the same form of damage . To find the cause of the damage done testing includes a visual examination , Fraktografi , hardness , metallographic and chemical composition . Makrofraktografi of testing showed damage the ball bearing on the runway outside the outer runway preceded by experienced chipped with fatigue fracture surface shape with a length of 26 mm , followed by static fracture ( sudden ) due to compressive load
