Research on this case study aims to evaluate the web application survey PT. KalbeMorinaga Indonesia. This case study was done because of some performance issue on theapplication. The problems related to the ability of software to speed data processing and reporting.Research was done on the performance of software and was combined using the gray box, that is,the evaluation of the test and evaluation of the code of the network itself. In addition, it was usedfor testing software for test automation. Automation tests were done as much as several times witha different number of virtual users. Results obtained were analyzed so as to be used as a referencefor the results which pages have problems with performance issues, and were tested by using asolution which then were tested again on that page and comparing the results. The final results ofthe analysis were compared with the results of the first test and then the results of the analysis andrecommendations for improvement can be used by application developers in the future.

This article describes an empirical study of hybrid approach of quicksort algorithms. The hybrid approach uses various variations of quicksort partition algorithms in combination with cutoff to shellsort using several cutoff elements. The paper compares the running time performance of the existing quicksort partition algorithms with the proposed hybrid approachusing uniqueand duplicate elements. As a result, it is found that several the hybrid approaches performs faster than the existing algorithms for uniqueand duplicate elements.

Learning methods play an important role and receive special attentions in our life. We live in digital era, where everyone wants something efficient, effective, dynamic, fast and interactive. The term ‘interactive’ appears in two distinct strands of educational research discourse: one concerning pedagogy and the other concerning new technologies in education. Teaching students with traditional method where there is only one way of communication is no longer effective. The word interactive is the key to have an effective and efficient teaching and learning process where the teacher can grab students’ attention and students can learn more in comparison to that of the traditional method.

IT Department in PT MCM has to carry out the duties and functions of developing solution to support the business unit in their operation and gain some benefits which should be obtained by using IT in manufacturing such as increasing efficiency, improving the effectivity in making decision and helping to promote the products. This study aims to design information technology strategic planning in accordance with the strategic plan. The research method is using the IT Strategic Planning framework of Alex Cullen and Marc Cecere. This study uses SWOT and IT Balanced Scorecard to analyze the needs of IT at PT MCM. The results of this study are recommended strategic steps to optimize the implementation of IT in the company to improve the performance from IT division to obtain the benefits by implementing IT in manufacturing and to form IT Blueprint, which is part of the information technology strategic plan in PT MCM.

CAMSHIFT algorithm has been widely used in object tracking. CAMSHIFT utilizescolor features as the model object. Thus, original CAMSHIFT may fail when the object color issimilar with the background color. In this study, we propose CAMSHIFT tracker combined withmean-shift segmentation, region growing, and SURF in order to improve the tracking accuracy. The mean-shift segmentation and region growing are applied in object localization phase to extractthe important parts of the object. Hue-distance, saturation, and value are used to calculate theBhattacharyya distance to judge whether the tracked object is lost. Once the object is judged lost,SURF is used to find the lost object, and CAMSHIFT can retrack the object. The Object trackingsystem is built with OpenCV. Some measurements of accuracy have done using frame-basedmetrics. We use datasets BoBoT (Bonn Benchmark on Tracking) to measure accuracy of thesystem. The results demonstrate that CAMSHIFT combined with mean-shift segmentation, regiongrowing, and SURF method has higher accuracy than the previous methods.

Information technology is useful to automate business process involving considerable data transaction in the daily basis. Currently, companies have to tackle large data transaction which is difficult to be handled manually. It is very difficult for a person to manually extract useful information from a large data set despite of the fact that the information may be useful in decision-making process. This article studied and explored the implementation of business intelligence in banking, retail, and educational industries. The article begins with the exposition of business intelligence role in the industries; is followed by an illustration of business intelligence in the industries and finalized with the implication of business intelligence implementation.

The deteriorating image of law enforcement agencies in serving the needs of nowadays community is making the chiefs of XYZ’s district attorney offices to search the best way so that the law service in their offices can be better. This problem is the general reflection of how bad the public service in law’s field is in our country. For that noble purpose, the chiefs see that there is a chance to use the ability of system and information technology. That system is not only for the necessary needs in district attorney office but it is also combined in the existing process in security and court. The chief of office feels that the enhancement performance will be obtained easier if there is the same system and technology and are designed carefully. Within this paper, the researcher uses the framework of Enterprise Architecture to develop the needed system and technology so that it can be realized strategically and operationally much better and can be accounted. The result is the current time conservative service system and have the quality of office automation systems is gradually planned to change into automation for the next two or three years. Therefore, the connection and the cooperation between the attorney, the police and the court will be more harmonic, thus gradually increased the service to the community.

Finding and retaining the right talent is an important issue for organizations worldwide. The definition of what is the right talent for the organization should be created first to make sure we recruit the right people and then the next question is what should be done after the right talent has been recruited? Skills Management Systems try to answer these questions by providing skills library and skills inventory for the organizations, thus the gap analysis between the available skills and ‘missing’ skills for the organization can be produced. This analysis accompanied with the prediction of skills demands in the future is a good base to develop a hiring policy and also development plans for the current employees. This paper describes the implementation of Skills Management System in a world-class research and development organization.

The existing attendance system still has drawbacks, namely the queue in front of the finger scanner, the attendance data are not integrated with Human Resources Systems, and also the employees who work outside the office cannot get in the attendance system to roll presence. In the other hand, everyone has the mobile devices and all the mobile devices will be embedded a finger scanner in the future. In this paper, it is proposed the absence system using one own device. The finger scanner and coordinate Global Position System (GPS) are used as inputs for the attendance system that integrated with payroll system and human resource management tools. Application base on android platform is developed because the android is the most platforms that have been using in the most mobile devices. Using our proposed methodology, the employee can roll presence using their mobile devices and the do not need to be in queue and the employees who work outside the office also can roll presence. Research showed that proposed methodology can be used for the next generation attendance system.

The development of mobile applications has mushroomed in local and foreign industries. This provides a tremendous opportunity for developers. For technopreneur developer, the capital to run the business is one of the biggest problems despite the fact that they may have great competence in the field. The fact that the business has big potential market in Indonesia has invited investors from local and overseas to invest as venture capital. However, due to the lack of knowledge on building collaboration with the investors and on understanding the market and investor needs in a long term, the developer finds difficulties to grow its business and to compete with bigger competitors. The research intends to seek the influence in selecting the level of revenue and market segmentation to support the investment decisions in the business of mobile applications, so that the mobile application developer is able to monetize their business to attract investors to invest in the venture capital.
