Abstract

Indonesian SMEs Garment Manufacturers (ISGMs) has become the main contributorto Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product for the last ten years. At the same time, theState Minister for Cooperatives and SMEs received many reports on the discontinuedof the ISGMs. Currently, the ISGM managers have lack of management capabilities.This study focus on the use of artificial neural networks (ANNs) that is capableof interpreting the results of financial statements analysis (FSA). ANNs rules areencoded implicitly using an algorithm for automatic learning. Furthermore, the studyalso will investigate how to support the ISGMs by using pattern recognition in dy-namic modelling (DM). The combination of ANNs and DM may support the ISGMsin (1) analysing the firm’s performance, (2) interpreting the results of FSA, and (3)providing a simulation on what will happen if something occurred in the business.Keywords: financial statement analysis, ANNs, dynamic modelling, business,garment, SMEs

Abstract

Impulse buying behavior has received the attention of Western academic scholarsdue to the existing contradiction between what consumer say and what they actuallydo. Many consumers realize that this is not a right and good behavior. Neverthelessthey continue to purchase the products in this fashion. Even in USA, this behaviorhas become a common phenomenon. The goal of this research is to find out whetherconsumer’s demographic factors influence the impulse buying behavior or not. Inthis research, the impulse buying behavior is divided into two components: affectiveand cognitive components. The result reveals that respondent’s gender and age are theonly factors that influence the affective component, while in the cognitive component,the result shows that there is no respondent’s demographic factors influence.Keywords: Impulse buying, affective and cognitive components, gender, age,budget of spending, level of education

Abstract

E-Government is actually an application of business concept in the public sectorwhose existence is now recognized many countries as being to their advantage inserving its citizens more efficiently and effectively. The main purpose of the paper isa review of E-Government as a system, which should be observed for E-Governmentadoption process more quickly and successfully. As a system, E-Government consistsof seven elements that are interdependent with one another, namely the government’scommitment, the characteristics of users, website design, cultural awareness, servicequality and clients satisfaction. Thus the successful adoption of E-Government isunlikely released from a good understanding of the seven elements.Keywords: E-Government adoption, system, elements of E-government

Abstract

New media is a term used to distinguish it with the old media. The lines betweennew media with old media is difficult to determine with certainty because it dependson someone’s perspective. The Internet can be considered as the beginning of thenew media era because the Internet is very different from the previous media. At thebeginning, the application on the Internet only Website and e-mail. After that camea variety of new applications or new media such as blogs, social networking sites,video sharing sites, online gaming, video conferencing and others. This article limitsthe utilization of the Internet in politics, business, education and sociocultural. Abstract

In recent times, more and more foreign brands fluttering in the Indonesianmarket and competing with local brands. Often the consumers give a response onthe country of origin (COO) aspect to provide an assessment of the quality brandsoriginating from that country. Magnitude of this effect will usually vary depending onthe level of consumer ethnocentric. This study was conducted to determine how theIndonesian consumer ethnocentric role in moderating influence consumer perceptionof COO into perceived quality. Research will be focused on the type of electronicproduct categories of laptops and notebooks. Brand laptop / notebook in question wasderived from one of the following countries: USA, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China.Results show that the data analyst of COO gives a significant effect on the perceivedquality in both groups of respondents with high and low levels of ethnocentric. Effectof the COO onto the perceived quality is greater for the low ethnocentric group ofrespondents (56,6 %) than in the group of high ethnocentric respondents (30,5 %).Keywords: Country of Origin, Perceived Quality, Consumer Ethnocentrism

Abstract

This study specifically have the purpose is to define the attributes of service qual-ity; determine the strengths and weaknesses of the quality of service; categorizingstrengths and weaknesses of the quality of service firms engaged in logistics servicesprovider. The depth Interview with servqual model framework as well as logisticsservice quality model was conducted to define the attributes of logistics serviceproviders. This sample size was 200 respondents, and of the 258 questionnairesdistributed and returned by 25 of which can be processed as many as 201 respondents.32 items defined and analyzed using a model servqual to determine the strengths andweaknesses of the quality of service, categorization strengths and weaknesses andtesting performed by using Paired sample t-test it was found that the weighting isperformed so that the resulting ranking of the attributes of the service.Keywords: SERVQUAL, Logistics Service Provider

Abstract

Investors invest in capital market to get return. In order to get it, they must makeinvestment decision (buy, hold, or sell stock) based on available information. One ofthe information that is available in capital market is earnings information. We caninfer that earnings announcement has information content based on market reactionshowed by significant abnormal return in the event period. Besides that, based onspeed of market reaction to earnings announcement we can know if Indonesian cap-ital market is efficient or not. This research also study how significant of earningsannouncement to stock’s abnormal return. Finally, this research compare abnormalreturn between group of sample who announced increase in profit and group ofsample who announced decrease in profit.Keywords: earnings, abnormal return
