Abstract

Recently the number of Millennials in the workplace is growing and soon projected to dominate the workforce. In the past, the companies succeeded in forcing their workforce to follow their principles. However, most of Millennials who have distinctive characteristics chose to leave the companies instead of being forced, which resulted in high turnover. The objective of this study is to explore Indonesian Millennials’ needs in the workplace that could contribute to their engagement and also could help to reduce turnover. This study used qualitative approach by interviewed eight participants who work at least 3 months at PT Akur Pratama. The result showed the most chosen factors as Millennials’ needs are coaching, teamwork, flexibility in hour, macro managing, develop relationship and fair compensation.Keywords: Millennials, Millennials’ characteristics, Millennials’ needs, engagement, turnover

Abstract

For more than a decade, the government has been actively modernizing the tax administration system to encourage the level of taxpayer compliance. This tax administration system focuses on fulfilling the obligation of payment and reporting by taxpayers who were previously submitted manually, switched to online through the official website of the Directorate General of Taxation. The easier process of payment and tax reporting is expected to help smooth the fulfillment of obligations accompanied by the greater the chance of achieving the target of receiving the State Budget. Therefore, this study aims to examine whether the modernization of tax administration, especially in terms of reporting Individual Notification Letter (SPT) through e-filing is able to improve taxpayer compliance or not. This is a quantitative research using survey as the method. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 80 respondents who are registered taxpayers at Majalaya Small Tax Office. The results showed that the implementation of e-filing have a positive effect on taxpayer compliance. From the results of data processing also found the need for socialitation and assistance for taxpayers to master the use of e-filing.

Abstract

Property is a sector that is very influential for Indonesia’s economy, so Bank Indonesia issued a Residential Property Price Survey to monitor property prices in big cities in Indonesia. The survey is done to monitor the condition of the property to prevent the occurrence of bubble conditions. This study aims to analyse the factors that are suspected to affect property prices in Indonesia, then compare the actual property price index with its fundamental property price index to determine the condition of property in Indonesia. As a result, Indonesia's GDP and inflation rate statistically affect the Indonesia’s House Price Index in all categories, while the amount of consumption credit only has a statistically significant effect on the Indonesia’s House Price Index of Small Houses, and the LTV ratio policy only has a statistically significant effect on the Indonesia’s House Price Index of Large Houses. Furthermore, Indonesia experienced bubble conditions in certain periods, but these conditions were considered harmless, because the bubble rate was not too large, and the bubble condition did not last for a long time.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the competitive strategy applied by the companies to compete appropriately. In addition, this study was also conducted to find out the description and competitive strategies carried out by companies, especially companies engaged in interior design and furniture field. The researcher took samples from the Luxior Company, Bandung. This research used interview and observastion as a data collecting method. The interview was conducted with the Luxior company which aims to find out the right competitive strategy. This study uses five force model analysis, value chain analysis, and SWOT matrix analysis to find out information and environmental conditions both internally and externally. Based on the results of the study, Luxior Company used best cost provider strategy. This strategy has meaning of more value for the money, which means that consumers are willing to pay more because they want more value and benefits.

Abstract

The Majority of companies in Indonesia are business family. The problem in family business is conflict itself can affect or hinder the process of succession. The goal of this research is to analyse of the preparation of succession can affect the completion of the succession and to knowing about family business barrier in preparation succession on family succession. The population in this research is 59 SMEs Family Business in Bandung. The method that used in this research is quantitative method. The information on this research was collected from disseminate the questionnaire. Interview method is used to confirm each item of the question.  The analysis that used in this research is analytic description and Simple linear regression. The result of this research is the preparation of the successor affect the succession of family business succession can increase the impact of family succession preparation on family enterprise success process. from the results of interviews, there are obstacles in the succession process of family companies, namely the difficulty of the next generation is the previous generation still monitoring the running of the business and still in control of making decisions so that the next generation feels constrained and difficult to develop the business.

Abstract

This study aims to find the market response on the stock market to the announcement of PMK Nomor 152/PMK.010/2019 regarding Tobacco based Product Excise by using the Event Study method using abnormal return and trading volume activity indicators. The existence of PMK Nomor 152 / PMK.010 / 2019, which aims to regulate and control public tobacco consumption through an average tax increase of 21.56%. This research conducts in 5 listed companies included in the tobacco manufacturing classification. The data used are secondary consist of daily stock prices, daily stock trading volume, and a composite stock price index (JKSE) five days before, one day at the time, and five days after the event. The Paired Sampled T-Test uses to test event studies. The result indicates that only three out of five companies experienced significant negative abnormal returns during the study period, which meant that the market responded to this event as bad news. The increasing significance of the trading volume activity did not spread evenly among those five companies. It shows the formation of an efficient market in the form of half-strong information. Therefore, investors expect to diversify their portfolios to mitigate risks that involve the detriment of government regulations.
