Juvenile delinquency has become a common phenomenon in society. Although various efforts have been made in order to overcome this problem, the behavior of young people to show their existence in these deviant ways is never ending. Apart from creating a space for actualization to accommodate their various interests and talents, the role of parents is very important in dealing with juvenile delinquency. In particular, this article examines the role of parents in overcoming juvenile delinquency from an Islamic perspective. The purpose of this study is to find alternative solutions, especially solutions that come from family influences. Meanwhile, the method used in the research uses a research library, namely analyzing and reviewing various previous scientific articles. The results obtained from this study indicate that the role of parents is very important in overcoming juvenile delinquency. The presence of parents by inviting positive dialogue to their teenage children is needed so that they get exemplary figures from the attitudes and behavior of their parents. In this case, parents also need to teach their children with commendable morals (al-Akhlak al-Mahmudah).

Abstract

Malang is known as a city of education, industry, and tourism. With these three names and with the various problems that exist in it, Malang is certain to experience changes in its social relations quickly. Starting from the emergence of the assumption that there has been a change in urban society, especially the view of religion, this study focuses on two aspects, namely the perception of the people of Malang towards religion and how Islamic education affects their daily religious attitudes. The results of observations made by researchers show that the level of education of the urban community is very heterogeneous. However, they were at a fairly high level of ability. This is reflected in several answers to interviews asked by the researcher. None of them did not understand certain terms related to religious education and its elements, such as improving the quality of life, religious phenomena, and others. Therefore, this finding is very different from the previous assumption which states that Malang residents will leave their religion due to various external influences caused by the increasing arrival of urban communities, industry, and tourism.

Abstract

Children's books with Islamic content are popular in Indonesia. The motivation of parents to introduce this genre of books is to help them teach their children the faith and knowledge of Islam from an early age. The more complete the information about Islam available in the book, the more parents will consider buying the book. Meanwhile, consideration of books with content that introduces gender equity needs to be considered. This study analyzes the gender bias in stories of Islamic content. The books analyzed are several popular books published by various different publishers. The research method used was qualitative and the narrative and visual data were critically analyzed with a gender perspective. Feminist linguistics was used to more deeply reveal the signs that will be described based on the context that surrounds the female character. The depiction of women in the four books is generally represented by traditional gender patterns. The female figure is depicted as dependent on men, not involved in dominant narratives. The female characters are described as weak while the male characters are described as stronger without regard to the female character.
