Abstract

The Potential of Formulation of Liquid biopesticide active substance derived from Beauveria bassiana (BALS.) VUILL and Metarizhium sp. To control the brown rice plant hopper. This study aims to assess the potential of B.bassiana fungus and Metarizhium sp. to control the brown rice plant hopper. The research was carried on on the Field from March to May 2013. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of B.bassiana at concentrations 107 (A1), 108 (A2), and 109 (A3). and Metarizhium sp. At concentrations 107 (B1), 108 (B2), and 109 (B3). with three replicates for each treatment. The results showed that B.bassiana was faster at controlling brown rice planthopper nymphs compared to Metarizhium sp, however, both showed  very promising results .fastest LT50 was observed in B.bassiana with a time of 24.87 hours at a concentration of 107 and in Metarizhium sp. causing the death of test insects within 25.67 hours at a concentration of 107

Abstract

The research aimed to construct and to describe students’ reasoning map in physics problem solving by applying AMEG perspective. The research instruments consisted of respondent selection test, reasoning test and interview protocol. Respondents were six students from a senior high school in Palu. Data were collected through thinking-aloud and interview. The activities were recorded by video camera. The data of interview were  used to support data analysis results of thinking-aloud. Data analysis of reasoning map used AMEG perspective where there is two methods that is Answer Justification(AJ) method and Reasoning Answer(RA). Based on the data analysis, it could be stated  that students’ reasoning map was influenced by their conceptual mastery and mathematic ability. Construction of students’ reasoning map in physics problem solving was influenced by memory and intuition. It is needed further research to study productivity of problem solving for the each reasoning plot.

Abstract

The research aimed at finding out the control of the basic commodity product of fried red onion of Palu variety as the main commodity used at the Home Industry “Usaha Bersama” and analyzing the use of basic commodity to make fried onion.  The sample, “Usaha Bersama” in Bulupountu Jaya Village as the place of this research, was stated by using purposive sampling technique.  This village was one of the centres for development of red onion variety of Palu and had home industry for producting fried onion in Sigi Regency.  Data were collected by using survey and direct observation.  The data were analyzed by adopting Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Linier Trend Line analyses.  The result shows that the optimal purchasing of the basic commodity was 2.192 kilograms per order; then, it was obtained the efficiency of supply restraint cost, 75.262,99 rupiahs (20%).  Meanwhile, the result of Linier Trend Line analysis shows that prediction of the basic commodity need from January to December 2013 was 1.423 kilograms for each order.  It is suggested that procurement of the basic commodity of Palu red onion variety applied at “Usaha Bersama” could be done by purchasing the commodity with 2.192 kilograms per order and with 8 times a year for the order frequency.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the influence of learning of blended cooperative e-learning in self efficacy and curiosity of the physics student in SMA Negeri 1 Palu. The sampel were 82 students, 44 were  for experiment class and 38  for control class. The data was taken by using questionnaire, written test of observation and documentation. The primary data was taken by using self-efficacy questionnaire was used to take the response of students’ confidence, while the curiosity questionnaire was used to take the responds of the students’ curiosity from the influence of  the learning of blended cooperative e-learning whereas the written test used to take the students’ learning outcome data. Observation sheet and documentation was used as the supporting data. The primary data processing was by done using t-test of average through statistical analysis and service solution. Sig score used was (sig) 0,05. From the research result, it was concluded that: 1) there was a significance influence of the learning application of blended cooperative e-learning toward students’ self-efficacy and curiosity, 2) there was a significance of learning application of blended cooperative e-learning toward students’ learning outcome

Abstract

The main problem of this research is the low of motivation and scientific learning outputs of year four students of Elementary School, SD Inpres 2 Kayumalue Ngapa. Base on this problem, the action classroom research is undertaken. The aim of this research is to implement the discovery learning model. The instruments used are lesson study plans, questioners, sheets of teacher and student’s activities, final test results. Allinstruments are used at two cycles which each cycle is held 3 times on teaching. At the first and second teaching described the application ofthe discovery learning model, then the last teaching is evaluation which done as the last action of the test.The result shows that learning used the discovery learning model can increase the student’s motivation on learning of science subject at year four elementary school, SD Inpres 2 Kayumalue Ngapa. The average of student motivation on cycle I is categorized medium whereas on cycle II is categorized high by using this learning model. The increasing of student’s learning output base on the completion achievement of pre-action of 25 students, only 9 students (36%) reached the completion.On cycle I, it reaches 15 students (60%) and on cycle II, reaches 23 students (92 %) gain this completion. This discovery model shows the average percentage of teacher’s activity completion on cycle I is 53% (adequate) and student’s activity is 51,25 % (adequate). On cycle II, teacher’s activity average is 91,6 % (excellent) and student’s activity average is 77,92% (good). The achievement of criterion of classical completion is influenced by being the motivation and optimal of teacher and student’sactivities during the learning on the process.

Abstract

This research was aimed at identifying and describing kinds of sea grass on Laguna Tasilaha Waterworks, and producing Biology instructional media in the form of a guided book used in conducting instruction.This research was carried out on Laguna Tasilaha Waterworks, Banawa Selatan Sub-district, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Using survey method with tehniques crossing. Futhermore, the result of this research will be developed to learning instrument. Seagrass taken by using plot that placed purposively. The research result has identified that there were six kinds of the sea grass based on two family groups. The first group was Hydrocharitaceae consisting of Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, and Halophia ovalis. The second group, on the other hand, was Potamegetonaceae comprising Cymodocea rotundata, C. serrulata, and Halodule uninervis. The development result produced the pocketbook. It was validated by 88.40% content, design, and media expert, 81.03% educator assessment, 83.26% small group assessment,  and 91.74% large group assessment. Therefore, the average percentage was 86%. If it was converted into the eligibility criteri, it was eligible and can be used as Biology instructional media.

Abstract

The research aim is to know the influence of using element cards on cooperative learning model of team game tournament (TGT) type forwardsstudent learning outcomes about material of atomic structure concept at year X SMA Negeri 3 Biromaru.  The research method used quasy experiment. The population of the research was all class X Student of SMA Negeri 3 Biromaru which had been selected purposively.  The sample was year X of Sains students (I) as a goup exsperiment. and whereas year X of Sains students (II) as a control group.  The independent variable was the model of cooperative learning of TGT type by using element cards whereas the dependent variable was the student learning outcomes. The result data consisted of student learning outcomes (posttest), questioners of student activity, responses of student acivity, and documentation.  The average cognitive of student learning outcomes (86,26) for the exsperimental group was higher then the control group (74,50 ).  The average of student activity result (57,89) with percentage 86,20 % was categorized as good, and the average response student activity forwarded the use of elements cards on cooperative learning model of TGT type was 84,42 %. The percentage was categorized as high (60 %) and it considered as a positive criterion which was belong to the exsperimental group. It can be concluded that the using of element cards on cooperative learning model of TGT type has a positive influence forwards student learning outcomes about atomic structure concepts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to; (1) To determine the effect of production inputs of land, seed, fertilizer urea, liquid fertilizer, and labor on farm production patchouli in Donggala District of South Banawa, (2) To determine the value added in the oil refining business in the District of South Banawa District Donggala. The research was conducted in January to April 2015. The population in this study farmers who grow patchouli patchouli in the District of South Banawa, amounting to 120 people and business owners distillation of patchouli, amounting to 1 person. Sampling in this study using a random method (simple random sampling). The number of samples taken patchouli farmers as many as 36 people, owners and labor 6 oil refining business, so the total number of samples as many as 43 people. Based on the results of the analysis showed that simultaneous (Test-F) Xi variables significant at α = 5%, while the partial all input variables used significant effect on production (Y). These variables are the land area (X1), patchouli seeds (X2), urea (X3), liquid fertilizers (X4) and labor (X5). Based on these results indicate that the patchouli farming in South Banawa Regional District of Donggala been rational, meaning that the use of existing production inputs is optimal, so that the results can be maximized. Value added is the difference between the value of output, the contribution of other inputs and raw material prices. The income of added value by oil refining business in the District of South Banawa Rp 3,257 means that for every 1 kg of raw material will generate output patchouli essential oil of Rp 3,257/production process and the ratio of added value to the output value is 36.19 with the understanding that every 1 kg of patchouli essential oil will be processed into value-added gain of 36.19%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk  menganalisis  kualitas diagram yang dibuat oleh siswa dalam physics problem solving. Responden penelitian adalah dua belas siswa terpilih yang terdiri dari Kelas X dan Kelas XI SMA Negeri di Poso Kota yang telah mendapatkan konsep dinamika partikel. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari tes soal essay untuk menyeleksi responden dan tes untuk menganalisis kualitas FBD buatan siswa dan panduan wawancara. Pengambilan data untuk kemampuan problem solving dan kemampuan menyusun representasi dalam bentuk diagram dilakukan dengan kegiatan thinking-aloud, yaitu responden mengerjakan soal dengan menulis pada lembar jawaban sambil mengungkapkan hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan apa yang ditulis. Kegiatan itu direkam dengan handycam. Wawancara dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data pendukung dalam mengnalisis data hasil thinking-aloud. Free body diagram buatan siswa dalam physics problem solving dikelompokan menjadi tiga kategori yaitu kategori tidak lengkap, kategori kurang lengkap dan kategori cukup lengkap. Responden yang membuat diagram dengan mengidentifikasi variabel-variabel yang bekerja pada sistem secara lengkap dapat menyelesaikan soal secara benar dan siswa yang membuat diagram dengan tidak mengidentifikasi variabel-variabel gaya secara lengkap tidak mendapatkan solusi yang tepat dalam menyelesaikan soal.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the influence of pH and concentration starter Saccharomyces cerevisiae to the yield of coconut-oil fermentation as a result biotechnology simple learning device. This study using a randomized complete block design with a factorial design by treatment three times replications. The research variables are the effect of pH and the concentration of starter Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The results showed that the treatment of pH 4 and addition of starter Saccharomyces cerevisiae as much as 10% produce the highest yield of coconut oil, whereas the treatment which produces palm oil yield is the lowest pH 7 and concentration starter 0%. The results of palm oil yield obtained ranges from 15.00% to 33.67%.  The results of the study would be continued by the manufacture of teaching biology particularly biotechnology materials in the form of teaching materials, teacher guides and student guides. The procedure used is a modification model manufacture Thiagarajan or 4-D models. The resulting learning device, then assessed by an expert content, design experts, media experts, partners teachers and students high school Al-Azhar Palu. The percentage value of teaching materials is 88% (good category), teachers' guidebook 88% (good category) and students guidebooks 91% (excellent category). Therefore the learning devices generated in this study proper to use.
