Abstract

AbstractThe impregnation technic can be done to improve the quality of palm wood. The dried palm wood specimens were impregnated with styrene monomer and heated at 120°C for 30 minutes. The physical and mechanical properties of impregnated palm wood improved. The outer of palm wood and sixth metres high which impregnated with styrene 20% were the best physical and mechanical properties. The specimen be long to wood classification III ( Indonesian National Standard, SNI 033527-1994).Keywords: palm wood, mechanical properties, impregnation, styrene.

Abstract

AbstractThe results of research using descriptive analysis shows that the agricultural extension program in Medan Krio Kecamatan Sunggal BPP is Legowo 4:1 cropping system, establishment of Gapoktan, Integrated Crop Management Field School (SLPTT), RDKK Subsidized Fertilizer and Agribusiness Program Rural (PUAP). While the research results obtained using multiple linear regression that simultaneously socioeconomic factors, education, experience, area and number of dependents are able to explain changes in income of paddy farmers at 99%. Partial factors of education and area of land affected by the real-value t count> t-table and the experience factor and the number of dependents does not affect real with t-values calculated <t-table on the  income of paddy farmers at 95% confidence level (a=5%). Abstract

Abstract                The porpuse of research was to knew influence and the heat of combustion  palm oil  briquette with added additive substance. The work principle of research included foreword working was preparations raw material (Oil palm eggshell) and additive substance (rice husk, bagasse, shell of coconut).Raw materials of  palm oil was  burning in the vurnace at temperature 400 0C for four o’clock and refined at the measure of 1 mm and so also above additive substance was refined at the measure of 1.6 mm, 1 mm, and 0.71 mm but non burning. Oil palm eggshell powder and additive substance was blended then added amylum as much as 30 % from Oil palm eggshell  weight. The compound was taken into press hydrolik to formed and then drying at temperature 120 0C for 90 minute.  The briquet that produced was characterized with heat of combustion, water-content, and ash-content-ash. The result of research was palm oil briquette with added rice husk produced heat of combustion of 7.322.49 kal/gr, content-water 15.14 %, content ash 7.0 %, the bagasse heat of combustion of 10.837.29 kal/gr, content-water 15.26 %, content-ash 18.75 %, and the shell of coconut heat of combustion of 9.079.89 kal/gr, content-water 3.25 %, content-ash 8,09 %. The optimum product of this research was palm oil briquette with added the shell of coconut for 15 gr with measure of 1 mm got heat of combustion of 9.079,89 kal/gr, content-water 3.25 %, content-ash 8.00 %.Keyword: briquette, Oil palm eggshell, additive substance

Abstract

AbstractResearch was conducted using a randomized block design (RBD), non-factorial with 10 treatments and 3 replications and tested using Duncant Multiple Range Test (DMRT) to see the effect of extract of bamboo shoots and bean sprouts on the growth of oil palm seedlings in pre nursery with five measurement parameters namely plant height (cm), number of leaves (leaves), leaf area (cm2), seedling dry weight (grams) and seedling fresh weight (grams). In this study differences in the doses used in the treatment level is too low at 0.5 cc / l. So the difference of the data obtained is not significant between all treatment levels. But from the results of the study dose of 1 cc / l in the use of bamboo shoot extract is more effective for high growth, leaf number, leaf area, fresh weight and dry weight of oil palm seedlings, and in the use of effective sprouts extract on the growth of plant height and leaf area.Keywords: palm oil, ZPT, bamboo shoots. bean sprouts.

Abstract

AbstractA  research of determinining the quality oil that extracted from local sun flower  seeds oil measuring of water concentration, peroxide value, free fatty acid (FFA) and also fatty acids compotition by gas chromatography was carried out. Based on research result, the highest oil concentration on extraction oil of sun flower seeds oil  32,45%.  Based on result analysis of water concentration, peroxide value and FFA from sun flower seeds oil were produced by company which water concentration (0,133%), peroxide value (1,983meq/kg) and FFA(0,079%). Result analysis from oil that extracted local sun flower seeds oil which water concentration (0,44%), peroxide value (5,22meq/kg) and FFA(0,47%). Based on analysis of gas chromatography, the are 13 kinds of identified fatty acidsf rom oil were produced by company and analysis of gas chromatography, there are 12 kinds of  identified fatty acids in extraction oil from local sun flowers seed.Keywords:Quality, composition, extraction, sun flower seed, pancurbatu

AbstractThis study aims to determine the increase in production of soybean (Glycine max L.) with provision of fertilizers and fertilizer TSP Feng Shou and their interactions using Randomized Design Group (RAK) factorial with two factors studied, namely: TSP fertilizer (T) which consists of three extent that to = Without Giving, T1 = 36 g / plant and T2 = 48 g / plant fertilizer while Feng Shou (F) which consists of 3 standard are: F0 = Without Giving, F1 = 8 ml / plot and F2 = 16 ml / plot. Abstract

AbstractGlycerolysis reaction involves intramoleculer and intermolecular exchange of acyl groups among triglicerides resulting in the changes on the physical and chemical  properties of the result triglicerides. Preparation shortening of the mixture of stearin RBD and palm kernel oil  by glycerolysis using lipase enzyme as catalyzed from rice bran, in order to obtain the products that that meets the quality standards of shortening the measurement of melting point analysis was performed. The shortening produced from the mixture of the stearin RBD and palm kernel oil by glycerolysis in the mol ratio of 1:1:4, 2:2:4, 3:3:4 and 4:4:4  the melting poit was 37.2, 38.5, 40.2 and 41.50C respectively, the solid fat content at 400C was 1.80, 2.50, 5.38 and 6.15% respectively. The study indicated that rice bran as source of lipase enzyme can be use as a catalyst by glycerolysis reaction in shortening preparation.Keywords: shortening, rbd stearin, palm kernel oil, glyserolisys, lipase.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of rice husk ash and fertilizer seprint as well as the interaction between rice husk ash and fertilizer on the growth and production seprint watermelon plants by using a design Plots Divided (Split Plot Design) with two factors studied namely rice husk ash as the main plots with namely two-stage treatment without rice husk ash (A0) and using rice husk ash (A1). Fertilizer seprint as subplot with three-stage treatment is a dose of 3 ml / L (S1), 6 ml / L (S2) and 9 ml / L (S3) while the measured parameter is the length of plant, age started flowering, age begin to harvest, diametre and the weight of fruits. Research suggests that the use of rice husk ash can significantly affect the parameters of fruit diameter, but not significantly affect the length of the plant parameters, age starts to flower and begin to harvest age. Fertilizer seprint not significantly affect the length of the plant parameters while the combination of rice husk ash and fertilizer seprint shows the interaction of the parameters of age began to flowering, age and weight began to harvest the fruitKey words: rice husk ash, fertilizer seprint, growth, production, watermelon

Abstract

AbstractThis research was arranged in Randomized bloc Design with thirteen treatments and two replicatin consist of control (A0), calcify dolomit (A1), sea mud (A2), calcify dolomit + sea mud (A3), Bradyrhizobium (A4), MOS (A5), peat soil isolat mikoriza (A6), mineral soil isolat mikoriza (A7), Bradyrhizobium +MOS (A8), peat soi isolat mikoriza+mos (A9), mineral soil isolat mikoriza+MOS (10), Bradyrhizobium +MOS+ peat soil isolat  mikoriza (A11), Bradyrhizobium +MOS+ mineral soil isolat mikoriza (A12). Variable which to know is pH, DHL, C-organik, C/N, soil nitrogen, soil available P, high of crop at 5 weeks after planting, stem diameter 5 weeks after planting, dry leaf weight, and dry root weigh. Analysis variable with excel program, continue with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT), and corelation coeffient analysis with excel program. The result of this research that giving some material repair soil (calcify dolomit, sea mud, and some biofertilizers) having an effect very sigficant  to increase pH, and increase high of crop 5 weeks after planting, and having an effect significant to decrease of DHL, but not having an effect significant to C-organik, C/N, soil nitrogen, soil available P,  stem diameter 5 weeks after planting, dry leaf weight, and dry root weigh.Key words : Amelioran, peat soil, calcify dolomit, sea mud, Bradyrhizobium, MOS, mikoriza.

Abstract

AbstractThe results showed that the value of the coefficient of determination R-square 0.93, can be interpreted that the simultaneous possession of fishing gear status factors, capital, work ethic and marketing types mentioned above were able to explain changes in fishing revenues 93%. Partially work ethic and marketing factors significantly affect the value t count> t table. While the status of the fishing gear and ownership of capital does not significantly affect the value of t calculated <t table against the income of fishermen in the 95% confidence level (a = 5%).Key words: marketing,  income of fishermen
