Abstract

A research had been conducted to study the quality of Virgin Coconut Oils (VCOs) by various processing methods including step-wise heating, oil addition, and fermentation. Various parameters were measured to study the quality of VCOs from three processing methods including oil content, water content, free fatty acids content and peroxide value. The collected data was analyzed statistically following the analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD)Test. The results showed that the highest oil content was found from the VCO processed by oil addition method but did not significantly different with that processed by step-wise heating and fermentation methods. The highest water content was found from VCO processed by step wise heating, but not significantly different with that processed by fermentation. The lowest free fatty acid content was found from VCO processed by stepwise heating, and significantly different with that from VCO processed by fermentation, but not significantl different with that from VCO processed by oil addition. The lowest peroxide value was found from VCO processed by fermentation, but not different to that from VCO processed by both stepwise heating and oil addition. Stepwise heating produced VCO with very hight quality followed by VCO processed by oil addition. Fermentation method produced VCO with very low quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to 1) determine student learning outcomes through the Inquiry learning model on metabolic material, 2) know the learning activities of students who were taught with Inquiry learning models in Biology courses, 3) know the psychomotor attitudes of students who were taught with models cooperative learning on metabolic material. This research is an experimental research This research was conducted on physics study students at T.P. 2018/2019. The learning model used is inquiry model in the experimental class and conventional model in the control class.The results showed that: The results of the average value in the control class were: pretest = 45,517 and posttest = 61,896 The results of the average value in the experimental class are: pretest = 48.333 and post test = 80.833 Obtained data X = 80.83; S = 12.32; L hitung = 0.0937; L table = 0.161;then: L calculate <L table, then posttest data Experiment class is normally distributedFrom the results of the statistical calculation above t arithmetic = and t table = 2.003 so as to obtain the value of -2.003 <<2.003 then H0 is accepted, meaning that the initial ability of students in the experimental class is the same as the initial ability of students in the control class.From the results of the statistical calculation above t arithmetic = and t table = 1.6715 to obtain a value of t> t table ie> 1.6715 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted meaning there is a significant influence on the use of cooperative learning models on student learning outcomes. The coefficient of linear regression direction ( b) = 0.85 which is positive. This means that the learning outcomes of experimental class student increase due to the influence of the cooperative learning model used in the teaching and learning process in the class.

Abstract

The Objective of this research is to know the effect of using Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Learning Outcomes of Students in The Simple Machine In Grade VIII The First Semester SMP Negeri 14 Medan Academic Year 2019/2020. The research method is true Eksperimental . The Population was all students at grade VIII of SMPN 14 Medan Academic Year 2019/2020. The Samples to conduct this research were two classes, class VIIIF as the experiment class and class VIIID as control class, definid by random cluster sampling. The research instrument are learning achievement test and student activity observation sheet. The result that were obtained was: post-test mean value of the experiment class was 58,55 and 50,00 for control class. Deviation standart for two classes was 12,12 and 12,38. From the calculation of t-test one side for α=0,05 and n=60, obtained tcount>ttable where tcount= 1,80 and ttable=2,78. So it can be concluded that there was an effect of using Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Learning Outcomes of Learner in The Simple MachineTopic In Grade VIII The First Semester SMPN 14 Medan Academic Year 2019/2020 with calculation of linear regression were = 22,50 + 0,59X. It can be seen from the increase in student learning out comes by 17%

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low science scores of students at the school, so researchers want to conduct research to find out if there is an increase in student learning outcomes in science when using the animation-assisted inquiry learning model. This type of research is quasi-experimental, the research design used is Two Group Pre test-Post test Design, eighth and the research population is all grade students of SMP Swasta Parulian 1 Medan. The instrument used in the learning outcomes test was 20 multiple choice questions which were validated by 2 science teachers in junior high school. The research result shows the score average pre test of 37.80 in 40.00 in the experimental class and control class and score post test of 82.00 in 71.00 in the experimental class and control class. Each sample group has normal data and has been tested using the Lilliefors test using SPSS, with the calculation of the results pre test obtained that L significance > 0.05, namely (0.114 > 0.05) for the experimental class and (0.148 > 0.05) for the experimental class. control, and the results post test obtained that L significance > 0.05, namely (0.066 > 0.05) for the experimental class and (0.071 > 0.05) for the control class. Furthermore, the data for both samples have homogeneous variances and have been tested using the SPSS F test, with the calculation of the results pre test obtained that F significance > 0.05 (0.728 > 0.05), and the results post test obtained that F significance 0.05 ( 0.050 ≥ 0.05). The research hypothesis test was carried out using the t-test (one-sided test). From the calculation results, it is obtained that the t significance < 0.05 is (0.000 < 0.05). then the result of hypothesis Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the overall data analysis, the t significance of < t is (0.000 < 0.05) and simple regression analysis Y = a + bx is Y = 38.347 + 0.573X. Inquiry learning model assisted by animation media can improve student learning outcomes with a large effect of increasing learning outcomes 15.5% which has a correlation coefficient of r = 0.491 (medium positive correlation). In conclusion, science learning outcomes using an inquiry learning model assisted by animation media can increase student learning outcomes by 15.5%.

Abstract

AbstractA  research of determinining the quality oil that extracted from local sun flower  seeds oil measuring of water concentration, peroxide value, free fatty acid (FFA) and also fatty acids compotition by gas chromatography was carried out. Based on research result, the highest oil concentration on extraction oil of sun flower seeds oil  32,45%.  Based on result analysis of water concentration, peroxide value and FFA from sun flower seeds oil were produced by company which water concentration (0,133%), peroxide value (1,983meq/kg) and FFA(0,079%). Result analysis from oil that extracted local sun flower seeds oil which water concentration (0,44%), peroxide value (5,22meq/kg) and FFA(0,47%). Based on analysis of gas chromatography, the are 13 kinds of identified fatty acidsf rom oil were produced by company and analysis of gas chromatography, there are 12 kinds of  identified fatty acids in extraction oil from local sun flowers seed.Keywords:Quality, composition, extraction, sun flower seed, pancurbatu

Abstract

Abstract : The aim of this research is to know the effect of using Hypnoteaching Method on the Learning Outcomes of Students in the Work and Energy Topic in Grade X MIA of SMA Swasta Permata Kasih Academic Year 2020/2021.This type of research is pre experimental research with the population of this study, namely all students of class X MIA SMA Swasta Permata Kasih. The sample in this study consisted of one class that were purposive selected by means of the purposive sampling technique, The research instrument used was the observation sheet of student learning activities and objective tests in the form of multiple choices. Based on the results of observations of student learning outcomes which can be obtained from the pretest mean score 23,73. with a standard deviation of 11.39 and the average posttest 48,80 with a standard deviation of 12.58. From the results through the two correlated sampels t-test for pretest and postest data of the class for ? = 0.05 and dk = 58, it was obtained tcount = 14.701 and ttable = 1.671, with tcount> ttable, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected instead. So, based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Hypnoteaching on the learning outcomes of students in grade X MIA of SMA Swasta Permata Kasih. While the linear regression test with the equation Y = 25,95 + 0,33X indicated the significant effect as well.Then, based on the correlation test with value of correlation coefficient were r = 0,69 categoriezed the relationship between each variable as strong. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Hypnoteaching terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi pokok usaha dan energi di kelas X SMA Swasta Permata Kasih TP 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre experimental dengan populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X MIA SMA Swasta Permata Kasih. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari satu kelas yang dipilih secara langsung dengan teknik Purposive Sampling yaitu kelas X MIA 1. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa dan tes objektif dalam bentuk pilihan berganda yang telah diuji validitasnya. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan hasil belajar peserta didik diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretes 23,73 dengan standar deviasi 11,39 dan nilai rata-rata postes 48,80 dengan standar deviasi 12,58. Dari hasil melalui uji t dua sampel berkorelasi untuk data pretes dan postes untuk ? = 0,05 dan dk = 58 diperoleh thitung = 14,701 dan ttabel = 1,671, dengan demikian thitung > ttabel, maka Ha diterima dan sebaliknya Ho ditolak. Sehingga berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran Hypnoteaching terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X MIA SMA Swasta Permata Kasih. Sedangkan hubungan masing-masing variabel diindikasikan berpengaruh signifikan melalui uji regresi dengan perolehan hasil Y = 25,95 + 0,33X. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi dengan perolehan nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0.69 mengkategorikan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel tergolong kuat.

Abstract

Educators as managers of learning activities are expected to be able to create an effective, active learning atmosphere and meet the learning needs of students. The problems found by researchers when conducting observations were that the teaching and learning atmosphere still seemed passive and the teacher did not consider the learning needs of students. Based on the problems encountered, the researcher offers a solution, namely by applying a differentiated learning strategy. Researchers conducted research with the aim of looking at the effect of differentiated learning strategies on learning outcomes obtained by students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Lahusa in the 2021/2022 school year. The research method used is nonequivalent control group design. The results of the right-tail t-test hypothesis test obtained the value of tcount > ttable , namely 2.381 > 2.014 with = 0.05, based on the testing criteria, the accepted hypothesis is Ha means that there is an effect of treatment of differentiated learning strategies on student learning outcomes SMA Negeri 1 Lahusa for the academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik melalui aktivitas hasil belajar dengan menerapkan problem-based learning di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Borbor. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus memiliki tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Strategi pembelajaran berorientasi pada aktivitas berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan desain penelitian two group pre test and pos tes desain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pada siklus I diperoleh sebanyak 2 orang (6,90%) yang memiliki berpikir kritis sangat tinggi dan sedang, sedangkan 7 orang (24,13%) berpikir kritisnya rendah, dan 16 orang (55,17%) aktivitas belajarnya sangat rendah. Selanjutnya pada siklus II, 22 orang (75,86%) berpikir kritis tergolong sangat tinggi, 2 orang (6,90%) tergolong tinggi dan 5 orang (17,24%) tergolong rendah. Untuk hasil belajar peserta didik pada pre-test siklus I didapatkan rata-rata sebesar 58,28% sedangkan untuk post-test rata-rata sebesar 64,48%. Selanjutnya pada siklus II, untuk nilai post-test sebesar 77,58%. Disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dan berpikir kritis pada peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 mulai dari siklus I dan siklus II setelah menerapkan pembelajaran berorientasi pada aktivitas berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Lolowau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quacy Experiment Design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas belajar peserta didik dan tes objektif dalam bentuk pilihan berganda untuk mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik yang dilakukan selama 2 kali pertemuan pembelajaran tergolong baik dengan rata-rata 67,08, sedangkan hasil belajar peserta didik tergolong cukup yang dapat diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen 78,4 dengan standar deviasi 12,14 dan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas kontrol 62 dengan standar deviasi 9,13 setelah diberikan perlakuan. Dari hasil melalui uji t satu pihak untuk data posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol untuk ? = 0.05 dan dk = 48 diperoleh thitung = 5,454 dan ttabel = 1,676. Maka Ho ditolak dan sebaliknya Ha diterima. Sehingga berdasarkan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Lolowau, hal tersebut dapat terlihat pada hasil belajar pretest dan posttest peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Lolowau pada materi getaran dan gelombang semester genap 2021/2022.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Regulasi Diri Dan Efikasi Diri Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas Viii Pada Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Di SMP Negeri 14 Medan Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Jenis ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif Deskriptif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII IPS di SMP Negeri 14 Medan Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 dengan jumlah 174 siswa sedangkan sampel yang digunakan yaitu 42 siswa. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji Normalitas, Uji Multikonieeritas, Uji Koefisien Korelasi, Uji Determinasi, Uji Simultan (F). Hasil dari penelitian ini variabel independen dalam penelitian ini yaitu regulasi diri dan efikasi memiliki kontribusi 61.1% terhadap variabel dependen dan sisanya 38.9% dipengaruhi variabel lainnya dan uji hipotesis secara simultan (F) di peroleh nilai berdasarkan perhitungan SPSS 13.695 dimana fhitung > ftabel yaitu 13.695 > 3.32 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara regulasi diri dan efikasi diri terhadap prestasi belajar siswa (Y) pada pelajar ilmu pengetahuan sosial kelas VIII di SMP negeri 14 Medan Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023.
