Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the growth and production of sweet corn on the provision of cow manure and ABG fertilizer. The design used was Randomized Design Group factorial with two factors were studied, namely: Cow Manure factor (K) is divided into 4 level without giving Ko =, K1 = 2 kg / plot, K2 = 4 kg / plot, and K3 = 6 kg / plot, and the factor ABG fertilizer (A) divided into 4 standard, namely A0 = no treatment (control), A1 = 2 cc / l of water, A2 = 4 cc / l of water, and A3 = 6 cc / l of water. Cow manure as the first factor and ABG fertilizer as second factor, while the parameters measured were plant height (cm), age of flowering (days), cob length (cm), cob weight (kg), dry seed weight (g), number of leaves (pieces) and leaf area (cm2). The results showed that administration of cow manure (K) gives a marked influence on all parameters except number of leaves observed. ABG fertilizer (A) gives significant effect on leaf area, cob length and cob weight and height parameters are not significant at the plant, leaf number and age of flowering. While the interaction treatment gives a significant influence on the length parameter cob and leaf area, and no real effect on plant height, leaf number, flowering age, weight and cob weight of dry beans.Keywords: cow manure, fertilizer, growth, production, Zea mays saccharata Sturt

Abstract

AbstractThis study to determine the effect of the amount of sugar and pectin to the quality of rosella flower butter. This study uses a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with factorial (2) of two replicates. Factor I is the amount of sugar with a password (G) consisting of 4 standard, namely: G0 = 45%, G1 = 50%, G2 = 55% and G3 = 60%. Factor II is the amount of pectin with a password (P) which consists of four standards are: P1 = 0.2%, P2 = 0.4%, P3 = P4 = 0.6% and 0.8%. The parameters observed include: TSS, levels of Vitamin C, total acid, organoleptic taste and texture.Keywords: sugar, pectin, butter, rosella

Abstract

AbstractThe impregnation technic can be done to improve the quality of palm wood. The dried palm wood specimens were impregnated with styrene monomer and heated at 120°C for 30 minutes. The physical and mechanical properties of impregnated palm wood improved. The outer of palm wood and sixth metres high which impregnated with styrene 20% were the best physical and mechanical properties. The specimen be long to wood classification III ( Indonesian National Standard, SNI 033527-1994).Keywords: palm wood, mechanical properties, impregnation, styrene.

Abstract

Hydrological analysis is an important stage in water resources development activities, where the output of the analysis will give an overview about water discharge (inflow) into reservoir which is hopefully the quantity of water can supply all human needs (outflow) and also determine the direction of water resources development strategy in a comprehensive indirectly. Utilization of Mock’s hydrological model is an approach to simulate and forecast the hydrological phenomenon that is occuring in the future using certain hydrological data recording. The main input of Mock’s hydrological model are semimonthly precipitation, evapotranspiration and parameters, while the output of model is water discharge. Microsoft excel was used in analysis of data. The optimal parameters of Mock’s hydrological model for regional water catchment area of Sempor Reservoir was obtained through the stages of calibration, verification and validation. The optimal parameters are water catchment area 44.158 km2; wet season infiltration coefficient 0.25; dry season infiltration coefficient 0.4; initial soil moisture 100 mm; soil moisture capacity 150 mm; initial groundwater storage 500 mm; groundwater recession constant 0.995. Keywords: Mock’s hydrological model, water discharge, Sempor Reservoir

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to find ways of making nata with a comparison of sugar and a long fermentation on the quality of nata de banana skin. This study uses a complete Randomized Design (CRD) factorial. The results of statistical analysis on each parameter: The amount of sugar and a long fermentation differ very real effect on yield. The number of long fermentation guladan different effect not significant (p> 0.05) on pH. Number of different sugars affect highly significant (p <0.01) to the TSS. The amount of sugar and a long fermentation different effect highly significant (p <0.01) of thickness. Treatment interaction effect is not significant (p> 0.05) of thickness. The amount of sugar and a long fermentation influence erbeda highly significant (p <0.01) against violence. Treatment interaction effect is not significant (p> 0.05) to violence. The amount of sugar and a long fermentation influence not differ significantly (p> 0.05) for color. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the growth and production of watermelon caused by bayfolan fertilizer and manure cow used Group Randomized Design factorial with two factors. The results showed that the use of bayfolan fertilizers significant influence on all parameters except the observation of the fruit diameter. While the treatment of cattle manure only had a marked influence on the age parameters of harvest, and no significant effect on other parameters. For the interaction between the two treatments, namely the provision of bayfolan fertilizer and manure cow showed no significantly different effect on all parameters of the observations. Abstract

AbstractThe results of research using descriptive analysis shows that the agricultural extension program in Medan Krio Kecamatan Sunggal BPP is Legowo 4:1 cropping system, establishment of Gapoktan, Integrated Crop Management Field School (SLPTT), RDKK Subsidized Fertilizer and Agribusiness Program Rural (PUAP). While the research results obtained using multiple linear regression that simultaneously socioeconomic factors, education, experience, area and number of dependents are able to explain changes in income of paddy farmers at 99%. Partial factors of education and area of land affected by the real-value t count> t-table and the experience factor and the number of dependents does not affect real with t-values calculated <t-table on the  income of paddy farmers at 95% confidence level (a=5%). Abstract

Abstract                The porpuse of research was to knew influence and the heat of combustion  palm oil  briquette with added additive substance. The work principle of research included foreword working was preparations raw material (Oil palm eggshell) and additive substance (rice husk, bagasse, shell of coconut).Raw materials of  palm oil was  burning in the vurnace at temperature 400 0C for four o’clock and refined at the measure of 1 mm and so also above additive substance was refined at the measure of 1.6 mm, 1 mm, and 0.71 mm but non burning. Oil palm eggshell powder and additive substance was blended then added amylum as much as 30 % from Oil palm eggshell  weight. The compound was taken into press hydrolik to formed and then drying at temperature 120 0C for 90 minute.  The briquet that produced was characterized with heat of combustion, water-content, and ash-content-ash. The result of research was palm oil briquette with added rice husk produced heat of combustion of 7.322.49 kal/gr, content-water 15.14 %, content ash 7.0 %, the bagasse heat of combustion of 10.837.29 kal/gr, content-water 15.26 %, content-ash 18.75 %, and the shell of coconut heat of combustion of 9.079.89 kal/gr, content-water 3.25 %, content-ash 8,09 %. The optimum product of this research was palm oil briquette with added the shell of coconut for 15 gr with measure of 1 mm got heat of combustion of 9.079,89 kal/gr, content-water 3.25 %, content-ash 8.00 %.Keyword: briquette, Oil palm eggshell, additive substance

Abstract

AbstractThis study uses the draft Separated Compartments (RPT) with two factors studied were: tillage system (T) as the main plot consists of 3 levels, namely: T0 = no-tillage (control) T1 = T2 = minimum tillage tillage perfect fertilizer phosphate (P) as a subplot consisting of 4 levels, namely: P0 = 0 g / plot (control) P1 = 20 g / plot P2 = 40 g / plot P3 = 60 g / plot. From the results of the research analyzed statistics indicate that tillage systems and phosphate gives a significantly different effect, while the interaction between the two treatments showed no significantly different effect. The results of the statistical analysis that both tillage treatments and phosphate fertilizer showed no significantly different effect on the number of primary branches plant soybeans, as well as the interaction of these two treatments also showed that the effect was not significantly different. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of the data began flowering plant life observation that treatment of soybean tillage systems and fertilizer phosphate showed no significantly different effect. Interaction of tillage system and fertilizer phosphates also showed that the effect was not significantly different. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of the widespread observation that treatment of soybean leaves tillage system and fertilizer phosphate showed no significantly different effect. Further interaction between tillage systems and fertilizer phosphate showed no significantly different effect. From the results of the statistical analysis of number of pods per plant soybeans showed that tillage system treatment effect is not significantly different, but the phosphate fertilizer gives a significantly different effect on the number of pods per plant contain soy. Interaction of the two treatments showed no significantly different effect. Abstract

AbstractThe research was conducted using case study methods (case study). This study aims to determine how to influence the level of capital, labor, experience, education and age of farmers' income levels and how the feasibility of areca nut farm. Research hypotheses are tested using multiple linear regression and the method of R / C ratio (Revenue / Cost). From the research results obtained by the R-square 0.98 identifies that it is simultaneously (synchronously) no significant effect between capital, labor, experience, education and age of the areca farmers' income by 98% the rest influenced by other variables not examined. From the test results are obtained stasistik multiple R-square value of 0.99% means that overall there is a strong influence between capital, labor, experience, education and age of areca farmers' income levels, it is supported by the calculated F-value> F-table at the 95% confidence level (a 0.05) thereby H0 refused and H1 accepted. No effect of partial capital, experience and age on the level of areca farmers' income in this case is supported by the value t count> t-table, while the labor and education had no effect on the income level of farmers nut on a 95% confidence level. The results of the calculation, the nut farm viability obtained was R / C ratio of 1.82. This means that the nut farm is now worth the effort or can provide benefits.Keywords: sosial-economy, farmers' income, farmer
