Abstract

Abstract                Some reports indicated a great variety of pharmacological activities of kunyit, Curcuma longa  L. which exhibit anti-inflamatory, anti virus, anti bacteria, antioxidant, nematocidal activities, etc. Curcuminoids are major compounds in Curcuma longa  L responsible for the biological activity. This paper compiles an overview of those pharmacological activities and chemical compositions of the kunyit, Curcuma longa establishing its importance in health.Keywords: chemistry, pharmacology, Curcuma longa L, medicinal plants

Abstract

AbstractThis study to determine the effect of Golden Harvest fertilizer and Rhizobium on growth and production of soybean (Glycine max L.). Implemented using the design of Plots Divided  factorial with two factors. The results showed that administration of Golden Harvest Fertilizer real influence on plant height parameters (2 and 3 MST MST), the number of branch age (4 and 6 MST MST), the age of flowering, harvest age, number of pods per plant contains, dry weight of 100 seeds and production per plot, but did not differ significantly to the age of 5 MST plant height, number of branches MST ages 2 and 3, the number of root nodules and the number of pods. Provision of Rhizobium give significantly different results at age 3 parameters plant height and number of branches MST MST age 4, but different is not real high on the plant age (2 and 4 MST MST), the number of branch age (2, 3, and 6 MST), age flowering, harvest age, the number of root nodules, the number of pods contain, the number of empty pods, and production per plot. And interactions between Golden Harvest Fertilizer and Rhizobium give significantly different results to the parameters age plant height and number of branches 6 MST MST age 5, but different is not real high on the plant parameter 2 s / d 5 MST, the number of branches of the age of 2, 3, 4 and 6 MST, the age of flowering, harvest age, the number of root nodules, contains a number of pods, number of empty pods, and production per plot.Keywords: Rhozobium, Golden Harvest, growth, soybean production

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of rice husk ash and fertilizer seprint as well as the interaction between rice husk ash and fertilizer on the growth and production seprint watermelon plants by using a design Plots Divided (Split Plot Design) with two factors studied namely rice husk ash as the main plots with namely two-stage treatment without rice husk ash (A0) and using rice husk ash (A1). Fertilizer seprint as subplot with three-stage treatment is a dose of 3 ml / L (S1), 6 ml / L (S2) and 9 ml / L (S3) while the measured parameter is the length of plant, age started flowering, age begin to harvest, diametre and the weight of fruits. Research suggests that the use of rice husk ash can significantly affect the parameters of fruit diameter, but not significantly affect the length of the plant parameters, age starts to flower and begin to harvest age. Fertilizer seprint not significantly affect the length of the plant parameters while the combination of rice husk ash and fertilizer seprint shows the interaction of the parameters of age began to flowering, age and weight began to harvest the fruitKey words: rice husk ash, fertilizer seprint, growth, production, watermelon

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect Dura Oil Palm Seedlings Growth  and Variety DXP Simalungun ( Elaeis guineensis Jacq. ) Against Liquid Organic Fertilizer in the Main Nursery by using  Plots Separated ( RPT ) design which  the main plot is   varieties V1 and V2 = DXP Simelungun Dura varieties . Subplot factor is liquid organic fertilizer ( G ) are G1 = 1 ml / liter of water , G2 = 3 ml / liter of water , G3 = 5ml/liter water . There are 6 combination treatment was repeated 3 times resulted in 18 experimental units . The number of plants per plot 5 sample plants with 3 plants , 90 plants total number of plants with a total sample of 54 plants

Abstract

AbstractResponse of growth and production in peanuts (Arachis hypogae) on seed spacing and origin of the pods have been investigated. The study was designed according to the Random Design (RAK) factorial with two factors studied. Jark cropping factor as the first treatment factors. Spacing factor (J) consists of two levels, namely J1 = 30cm x 20cm, 30cm x 30cm = J2, J3 = 20cm x 20cm. While the origin of seed treatment factors on pod (P) consists of three levels, namely P1 (1per plor seed pods), P2 (second seed pods per plot), P3 (third seed pods per plot). The entire unit test in repeated sebamyak 3 times. Parameter observations used in this study include plant height, number of primary branches, number of empty pods per plant, production per plot, weight of wet pods per plant, dry weight of pods per plant and number of seeds per pod. Based on the observations and the origin of seed spacing on pod gives a significantly different effect parameters plant height, number of primary branches, number of empty pods per plant, production per plot, the wet weight of pods per plant, and dry weight of pods per plant. While the parameters of the number of seeds per pod were not significantly different.Keywords: Peanut, seed spacing, origin of the pods

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to study the types of host plants and source of inoculum is best in the manufacture of mycorrhizal biofertilizer. The study was conducted at the home screen Unsyiah Faculty of Agriculture, Soil Biology Laboratory at USU College of Agriculture and Soil Chemistry Laboratory at the Faculty of Agriculture Unsyiah since July 2011 to November 2011. This research used randomized block design (RGD) factorial with two factors and three replications. Factors studied are several types of host plants and some types of sources of inoculum. Variety of host factors consist of A1 = kudzu (Pueraria javanica,) A2 = soybean (Gylice max (L.) Merrill), A3 = corn (Zea mays L.) and factors source of inoculum consisted of B1 = spore origin rhizosfer kudju, B2 = rhizosfer spores from soybean, B3 = spores rhizosfer origin of maize.  Parameters observed in this study is the degree of mycorrhizal infection,  plant P uptake.  From the research results obtained can be concluded that there is interaction between host plant species with the type of source of inoculum of mycorrhizal infectivity and effectiveness. The best treatment of the parameters of the degree of mycorrhizal infection (infectivity of mycorrhizal) and plant P uptake (mycorrhizal effectiveness) is a combination of host plant kudzu to the source of spore inoculum origin rhizosfer kudzu (A1B1).Keyword : mycorrhizal, kudzu, soybean, corn, biofertilizer

Abstract

  AbstractThis study aims to determine the growth and production of long beans (Vigna sinensis L) on the provision of bayfolan fertilizer and manure cow. The design used was Randomized Design Group factorial with two factors were studied, namely: Fertilizer Bayfolan factor which is denoted by the letter "B" and the stage is divided into 4 cc Bo = 0 (no provision), B1 = 2 cc / liter water, B2 = 4 cc / liter of water, and B3 = 6 cc / liter of water., and Cow manure factors are denoted by the letter "S" is divided into 4 standard, namely S0 = no treatment (control), S1 = 8 kg / plot, S2 = 16 kg / plot, and S3 = 24 kg / plot. Bayfolan fertilizer as the first factor and cow manure as a second factor, while the parameters measured were plant height (cm), number of branches (branches), the age of flowering (days), number of pods per plant (pods), pod length (cm) , and weight of pods (g). Interaction of treatment bayfolan fertilizer and cow manure showed significant differences in plant height parameter, namely the highest plant found in the combination treatment B1S2 (179.67 cm) and lowest in the combination of B0S0 (162.67 cm), the parameter that is the age old flowering flowering the fastest are in the B3S3 combination treatment (21.33 days) and age in combination B0S0 longest flowering (25.00 days). Then the parameters of pod length, pod longest B1S1 contained in the combination treatment (59.12 cm) and shortest on the combination of B0S0 (38.26 cm). And for the heaviest weight of pods found in the combination treatment B1S2 (46.65 g) and lowest in the combination of B0S0 and B0S2 (39.12 g)Keywords: fertilizer, bayfolan, manure cow, production growth, Vigna Sinencis L.

Abstract

AbstractThe research of grafting methyl methacrylate (MMA) onto Cyclic Natural Rubber (CNR) has been carried out. Benzoyl Peroxide (BPO) was used as a inisiator and temperature condition at 90oC with variation of time 1 and 2 hours. Grafting process was done with technique of reflux in a tree-neck flask  with condenser and oil bath. Spectra analysis FTIR performed for determine the presence of grafted MMA on the backbone of CNR. The results showed that the product CNR-g-MMA was formed with the marked appearance of the absorption peak wave numbers at 1731 and 1730 cm-1 (carbonyl group absorption) typical for carbonyl (C = O) of metal methacrylate. Abstract

AbstractThis research was arranged in Randomized bloc Design with thirteen treatments and two replicatin consist of control (A0), calcify dolomit (A1), sea mud (A2), calcify dolomit + sea mud (A3), Bradyrhizobium (A4), MOS (A5), peat soil isolat mikoriza (A6), mineral soil isolat mikoriza (A7), Bradyrhizobium +MOS (A8), peat soi isolat mikoriza+mos (A9), mineral soil isolat mikoriza+MOS (10), Bradyrhizobium +MOS+ peat soil isolat  mikoriza (A11), Bradyrhizobium +MOS+ mineral soil isolat mikoriza (A12). Variable which to know is pH, DHL, C-organik, C/N, soil nitrogen, soil available P, high of crop at 5 weeks after planting, stem diameter 5 weeks after planting, dry leaf weight, and dry root weigh. Analysis variable with excel program, continue with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT), and corelation coeffient analysis with excel program. The result of this research that giving some material repair soil (calcify dolomit, sea mud, and some biofertilizers) having an effect very sigficant  to increase pH, and increase high of crop 5 weeks after planting, and having an effect significant to decrease of DHL, but not having an effect significant to C-organik, C/N, soil nitrogen, soil available P,  stem diameter 5 weeks after planting, dry leaf weight, and dry root weigh.Key words : Amelioran, peat soil, calcify dolomit, sea mud, Bradyrhizobium, MOS, mikoriza.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of organic manure on growth and yield of two varieties of sweet corn (Zea Mays saccharata Sturt). Implemented in Jl. Door Air IV B Simalingkar village, subdistrict of Medan Medan Johor, with ± 25 m altitude above sea level in April 2013 to July 2013 using the design Plots Divided (RPT). Factors studied consists of two varieties and liquid organic fertilizer. The difference between the two varieties (V) as the main plot consists of two levels and V1 = V2 = jamboree Varieties Varieties bonanza and given liquid organic fertilizer is fertilizer Santamicro (S) as the subplot consisted of 4 levels ie at concentrations of 0, 1, 2, and 3 ml / liter of water, each with a symbol S0, S1, S2, and S3. The results showed that the liquid organic fertilizer higher Santamicro gave the highest yield in ear length, ear diameter, ear weight per plant, and weight of cobs per plot with a concentration of 3 ml / liter of water. Plant sweet corn varieties jamboree gives a higher influence on plant height and number of leaves. The combination of organic liquid fertilizer concentration Santamicro with two sweet corn varieties provide tangible interactions on the growth and yield of sweet corn.
