The treasure of the reckoning time of Maghrib prayer in the study of astronomy has a variety of criteria in determining the height of the Sun, namely: rounding the number -1° and the formulation of the Sun's height: - (horizon + semidiameter + refraction low). This study discusses the implementation of these two criteria into the reckoning time of prayer at the city/regency Grand Mosque. This research is library research, using quantitative descriptive analysis. This results showed namely: the results of testing the accuracy of the reckoning of the criteria prayer time ho = -1 ° slower in Maghrib time if the input height is below 33 masl. Then the results of the reckoning prayer time criteria ho = -1 ° have the results of the Maghrib time which is the same as the reckoning criteria ho = - (ku + ref + sd) when the input height is 33 masl. And the results of the reckoning time criteria ho = -1 ° faster at Maghrib time which is above 33 masl. While the tolerance limit of a difference of 1 minute is reaching an altitude of 201 masl means that a total of 82.14971% of the total Grand Mosque of the City is still safe. In Indonesia, the height of the Great Mosque of the City above 201 masl or the difference of more than 1 minute is 17,850287%, which means that it is still not safe to use the initial reckoning when the criteria are ho = -1° and it is necessary to add corrections to horizon modesty (place height).

Determination of prayer times in al-Durus al-Falakiyyah uses a list of logarithms with 5 decimals. The existence of this logarithmic list is now very difficult to find, and what is circulating today is a list of logarithms with 4 decimal places and 3 decimal places. If the list of logarithms is used, it will certainly bring up the difference from the original calculation. This study attempts to answer the question whether the list of decimal 4 and 3 decimal places is appropriate for the reckoning of prayer in al-Durus al-Falakiyyah as a substitute for a list of 5 decimal logarithms. An assessment of its feasibility can be seen from whether or not the difference arising from the original calculation can be ignored or not. The results showed that the use of a list of 4 decimal logarithms raises a very small difference, which is an average of 1.12 seconds, so that the difference can be ignored when rounded. But to use a logarithmic decimal 3 list, the difference that is raised can reach 52 seconds. The difference cannot be ignored when rounded and can change the results of the original calculation.

Astrolabe is a classical instrument in astronomy that is often used to determine the position of celestial bodies without calculating. The notables who played role in the formulation of the astrolabe concept and work system were Hipparchus, Claudius Ptolemy and Theon. Muslim astronomers also had an important role in the development of the astrolabe. The application of astrolabe in reckoning the beginning of prayer time is very easy. But before it can be applied in reckoning prayer time, the astrolabe needs to be equipped with the Sun's altitude lines at the beginning of the prayer time for one year at a location. So the astrolabe can easily be applied to reckon the beginning of prayer times without the need to do calculations. But the Sun's data on the astrolabe are constant as well as the attitude of the Sun at the beginning of prayer time. Those are what reduce the accuracy of the beginning of prayer times reckoning result with the astrolabe.

The discourse of the verses of the Qur’an regarding the reckoning (hisab) and determining date by sighting of moon (rukyat) did not find passages that describe implicitly on an initial determination by using the lunar month of reckoning, but explicitly there are several verses in the Qur'an that mention reckoning in relation to the existence position of the moon and sun. The correlation or relationship verses of the Koran to the concept of astronomy (reckoning rukyah) based on the interpretations and asbab al-nuzul show harmony with the science of astronomy. Therefore, the science of astronomy is needed as a tool for understanding the verses of Allah in the Qur'an and in the universe. Thus signaling a clear and complete information about the procedure of reckoning and rukyat preliminary determination of the Moon in the Qur'an now we'll get to bridge the bridge between the message of the Qur'an and as-Sunnah (proposition syar'i), rukyat or observation and reckoning is required a comprehensive understanding of the objective - scientific paradigm in understanding the concept of reckoning and rukyah as a single entity that can not be separated.

Eclipse is a phenomenon that occurs when a celestial body moves into the shadow of another celestial body. This phenomenon in Islam is enshrined by the command to carry out eclipse prayers. In addition, the Qur'anic texts and the hadith of the Messenger of Allah tell a lot about eclipses. Regarding the implementation of the eclipse sunat prayer, the scholars differed. But beyond these differences of opinion various lessons can be obtained through the existence of these astrological phenomena. The eclipse phenomenon presents three implications, namely: a) the existence of worship which is prescribed to be performed along with the presence of the eclipse; b) scientific discoveries; and c) myths.

Islam is very complex in various fields of science. One of the sciences that must be learned is Falak. This study discusses hadith as a source of Islamic law in relation to the sign of celestial knowledge. This research is a library research by exploring the texts of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad related to astronomy information. The results showed that astronomy is very closely related to the command of Allah Almighty. related to human worship includes the Qibla direction, prayer times, Islamic calendar, eclipse of the moon and sun. Based on this, the study of astronomy is a fardhu kifayah for Muslims to help the perfection of the worship of Allah Almighty.

Abu Raihan al-Biruni is a Muslim scientist who was popular during the Abbasid dynasty. His famous monumental work is Al-Qanun Al-Masudi. This article discusses the calculation of the various positions of celestial bodies and also discusses various phenomena of celestial bodies related to the time of worship of Muslims. One of al-Biruni's biggest contributions in the field of reckoning is completing the calculation of the Qibla Direction accurately based on the rules of the spherical triangle. This discovery which caused al-Biruni to be called the inventor of spherical trigonometry. In the field of hisab rukyah al-Biruni also explained the characteristics of eclipses and the criteria for the beginning of the Moon, including the height of the sun when entering time and dawn. Al-Biruni's other contribution was to succeed in calculating the movements of the Sun and the Moon such as the length of the tropical year, the movement of the sun in Apoge, daily Anomalies and the average of the Moon, the distance of the Earth-Moon and others. Data obtained by al-Biruni is not much different from modern data at this time.

Using of telescopes for the observing crescent often finds difficulties and failures. The combination of telescopes, digital cameras, and image processing methods through computerized processes is a good solution in the success of capturing the image of the new moon. The study related to the characteristics of the image processing method on CASA is a form of further research on previous studies which are still limited to discussing the validity of the crescent results through image processing according to the scholars. This study aims to find differences between the CASA and BMKG image processing methods, and test the validity of the CASA image processing method. This type of research is field research, by using data analysis techniques, descriptive analysis and comparative analysis. This study found that the CASA image processing method has differences with the BMKG image processing method. Processing the crescent image in both through the same software, namely IRIS. But the method used is different, because the first data collection is different. After processing the CASA image processing image crescent has a quality that is equally good compared to BMKG, the validity of the CASA image results.
