Abstract

Abu Raihan al-Biruni is a Muslim scientist who was popular during the Abbasid dynasty. His famous monumental work is Al-Qanun Al-Masudi. This article discusses the calculation of the various positions of celestial bodies and also discusses various phenomena of celestial bodies related to the time of worship of Muslims. One of al-Biruni's biggest contributions in the field of reckoning is completing the calculation of the Qibla Direction accurately based on the rules of the spherical triangle. This discovery which caused al-Biruni to be called the inventor of spherical trigonometry. In the field of hisab rukyah al-Biruni also explained the characteristics of eclipses and the criteria for the beginning of the Moon, including the height of the sun when entering time and dawn. Al-Biruni's other contribution was to succeed in calculating the movements of the Sun and the Moon such as the length of the tropical year, the movement of the sun in Apoge, daily Anomalies and the average of the Moon, the distance of the Earth-Moon and others. Data obtained by al-Biruni is not much different from modern data at this time.

Abstract

Al-kashi was a Persian astronomer who was nicknamed the second Ptolemy. The important work is zij named zij khaqani. This Zij has a deficiency in terms of the epoch or reference calculation in 851 Persia or November 16, 1481 M. This Zij has the potential to be developed so that it can be used as the initial reckoning of the lunar month. This research was conducted by Qualitative methods. Techniques for collecting data using literature. The problem the author wants to know is 1). What is the zij al-Kashi compilation algorithm? 2) How to reformulate zij al-Kashi as the initial reckoning of the Kamariyah Month? 3) how is the accuracy of Zij al-Kashi post reformulation as the initial reckoning of the month of Kamariyah? This research produces first, zij al-kashi uses Ptolemy's theory to correct the movement of celestial bodies. Al-kashi still considers the movement of celestial bodies in the form of circles instead of ellipses. Second, Reformulation is carried out by renewing the epoch, the dating system, correction for six months of movement disorders. Third, Contemporary reckoning in this case is used by Jean Meeus. Accuracy tests were carried out in critical years for the initial determination of ramdahan, Syawal Dzulhijjah. These years are 1427, 1428, 1432, and 1439. 14 The difference in the height of the modified zij al-Kashi hilal with contemporary reckoning is at intervals of 3-11 minutes of arc. The smallest difference is 3 minutes of arc and at most 11 minutes of arc.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of external funding and product innovation on entrepreneurial business growth. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. This research was conducted over a two-month period spanning from May to June of 2023. The results showed that external funding plays a significant role in supporting entrepreneurial business growth. Funds obtained from external sources, such as venture investment or bank loans, enable entrepreneurial ventures to expand operations, increase production, and develop market share. In addition, product innovation also has a positive influence on the growth of entrepreneurial ventures. Companies that are able to produce innovative new products or services can attract new customers, increase customer loyalty, and increase revenue. The limitations of this study are the limited data available in the research period and the focus on entrepreneurial companies in one particular sector. The implication of this study is that it is important for entrepreneurs to consider external funding as a potential source of financing and also encourage product innovation as a strategy to achieve sustainable business growth.

Abstract

Source Power man is often called a human resource, energy or strength human (energy or power). Humans are also mentioned as a source of energy, ability, strength, and expertise possessed humans, are also possessed by creatures, such as animals, and plants, and even also owned by elements. Study This aims to know from support government to business group society and how impact business programs on the sector economy and education for the community Type of research used is study descriptive qualitative, data obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation. Validity of researcher data uses technique triangulation. Data analysis was carried out with four stages namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal conclusion. Research results show: that there is support government with methods to protect and facilitate form tool production and deliver training for development capacity member group Bujamatas, so impact on addition from facet sector economics and education for group.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine employee performance in Child-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta, residents' satisfaction in Child-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta. and the role of Employee Performance on Citizen Satisfaction in Child- Friendly Integrated Public Spaces, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta.This research method is a qualitative description through interviews with informants as key informants who explain or describe the effect of employee performance on citizen satisfaction in Child-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta. And through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which is a group interview that emphasizes interaction on the topics discussed. This study also describes testing the validity of the data, the validity of the data or the credibility of the data, namely in observation, perseverance, discussion and study as well as analysis of the satisfaction of these residents.The results of the study showed that there was a value gap in the views of officials who were interviewed and discussed with community groups who were also interviewed by researchers. So the need for a researcher's perspective and confirms that performance is a substantial factor in creating maximum work. Thus the role of performance on citizen satisfaction in the Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta, is very important. Not only encouraging the creation of new values in understanding citizen satisfaction.

Abstract

Observatory is a location that is used to observe events related to Outer Space or Earth. The observatory also developed from one generation to the next. The first observatory was founded in the Abbasid period al-Ma'unun, the Syammasiyah observatory. The characteristic of this period is that the observatory aims to produce ephimeris data from the Sun, Moon and planets, and catalog stars. The observatory in early Europe was marked by an observatory that built by Tycho Brahe. He made observations from 1588 to 1591 and he produced a catalog of 777 stars with increased accuracy. The results of this observation are used by Kepler to find the motion of planet ellipses. Furthermore, in the modern era, observatories are characterized by observing celestial bodies using the electromagnetic spectrum. The urgency of observatories in the modern era is as a science institution, as a way of collecting accurate astronomical data, the Royal Greenwich Observatory as a Prime Meridian point and as a way of determining worship times. Whereas, Planetarium is a theater to demonstrate the simulation of the arrangement of stars and the movement of celestial bodies. The Urgency of Planetarium is as an Astronomical Educational Vehicle and as a means of entertainment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konvergensi media yang dilakukan oleh Radio Suara Muslim Surabaya dalam upayanya merebut pendengar dari kalangan Generasi Z. Konvergensi media merujuk pada integrasi berbagai bentuk media komunikasi ke dalam satu platform digital yang dipicu oleh kemajuan teknologi digital dan jaringan komunikasi. Radio Suara Muslim Surabaya mengimplementasikan strategi konvergensi media dengan menggabungkan siaran radio teristrial dan live streaming melalui platform media sosial seperti Youtube, Instagram dan TikTok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana Radio Suara Muslim Surabaya mengadopsi konvergensi media serta mengevaluasi efektivitas strategi tersebut dalam menarik perhatian pendengar muda di era digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan analisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konvergensi media yang dilakukan oleh Radio Suara Muslim Surabaya efektif dalam meningkatkan interaksi dan keterlibatan audiens, serta mampu memenuhi kebutuhan informasi Generasi Z yang lebih menyukai konten singkat, interaktif, dan visual. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai pentingnya adaptasi media konvensional terhadap perubahan teknologi dan perilaku audiens untuk tetap relevan dan kompetitif di lanskap media modern.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed how governments communicate with the public. Effective communication through digital media is key to increasing public participation in various government programs. This study analyzes digital communication strategies that can enhance community engagement. The use of social media, the development of digital tourism, and the dissemination of policies through digital platforms play an essential role in strengthening interactions between the government and society. Additionally, communication strategies in public transportation, the transition from analog to digital television broadcasting, and synergy in social activities also contribute to the effectiveness of government communication. An appropriate digital communication strategy should not only be informative but also interactive to build trust and enhance public engagement more effectively.

Abstract

Abu Raihan Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Biruni, a prominent Muslim scholar born in 973 CE, made important contributions to the development of a more accurate method of Qibla direction determination. This Research aims to explore Al-Biruni's contribution to overcoming the limitations of traditional methods that lack precision by developing an innovative approach that combines astronomical observations and sophisticated mathematical calculations. By utilizing the positions of celestial bodies, such as the stars Canopus and Polaris, as well as the Sun's direction during the summer and winter solstices, Al-Biruni achieved a more accurate determination of Qibla. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach that includes an analysis of Al-Biruni's monumental work, Al-Qanun al-Mas'udi, especially book 5, section 5, which contains detailed calculations using spherical trigonometry and celestial sphere diagrams, as well as the application of sine and cosine rules in the process of calculating the Qibla Direction. The research findings show that Al-Biruni's method, which utilizes the positions of celestial bodies and spherical astronomical calculations, can produce a Qibla direction determination with a level of accuracy comparable to that of modern techniques. The originality of this approach lies in its systematic integration of astronomy and mathematics, which not only increases the accuracy of Qibla direction determination but also provides a basis for the development of contemporary scientific methods. The results of this research confirm the relevance and significance of Al-Biruni's method in bridging spiritual needs and scientific progress.

Abstract

Zij al-Sulṭān Ulugh Bek is a 15th century astronomical catalogue, one of the zijs used as an important reference to determine important times in the Hijri calendar for Muslims in Indonesia, such as the beginning of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. However, despite its great historical value, Zij al-Sulṭān needs to be updated and adjusted to current conditions and developments in Astronomy. Comparison of the results of Hisab Awal Bulan Kamariah with contemporary hisab and Nurul Anwar's true hisab reveals that Zij al-Sulṭān has good accuracy, but there is a difference in the ijtimak time and the height of the crescent moon in a few minutes. Therefore, to improve accuracy, corrections and adjustments need to be made according to geographical differences, more modern astronomical calculations, and the use of sophisticated astronomical equipment and software. This study provides an alternative calculation to develop Zij al-Sulṭān to have better accuracy as a hisab for determining the beginning of the lunar month in Indonesia.
