Various forms of local wisdom includes beliefs and taboos when performing catch activities, ethics and rules on fishing activities, techniques and technologies applied catchs, as well as the practices and traditions of management and use of natural resources. Location of the study was 7 districts in the coastal area of East Kutai Regency has a fairly large fishery potential fishery households with large amounts of which are Teluk Pandan, South Sangatta, North Sangatta, Bengalon, Kaliorang Sangkulirang and Sandaran. This study basically using sampling techniques are not random (non-probability) that a purposive sampling technique. Determination of respondents with purposive sampling method based certain considerations that are taken based on the purposed of research. Resource management in the form of: a) the existence of indigenous institutions that play a role in regulating the management and utilization of marine resources and coastal fisheries, b) the establishment of a group of fishermen and farmers institutional accompanied by coaching and mentoring more effective in cooperation with governments, companies and research institutions, c) the existence of institutional gathering “yasinan” fisherman woman who has the role of venture capital can both strengthen fisheries, d) determination agreement fishing area and type of fishing gear that is allowed for certain waters

Abstract

Milk is a food that is essential to human life because milk contains nutrients, especially protein, vitamins and minerals. Milk not only from animal materials but also made from plant materials such as legumes including soybeans. The purpose of this study was to determine the sensory characteristics of ketapang milk made by substituing soy with ketapang seed in the making of soy milk. Experimental designwasarranged according to Response Surface Methodology (RSM) using 2-factorsand 5 levels in each factor. The first factor was concentration of soybean (0%, 10%, 15% , 20%, and 25%) and the second factor was concentration of Na-CMC (0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%). The results showed that the best characteristics possessed by the best formula contained in the treatment with the highest soy concentration of 25% (75% seed ketapan and the addition of Na-CMC concentration lows of 0%, but in the manufacture of soy milk ketapan added Na-CMC 0.05% since without the addition of Na-CMC will form a precipitate in the milk. The results of the proximate test showed that the levels of protein in every 100 grams of material was 18.058%.

Abstract

The development of industrial clusters is considered the most effective solution in the development of the local economy of a region. Industry cluster development means developing industry that is likely to have high competitiveness in domestic and global markets. The impact area has its own competitiveness against other regions. Developing industry in Madura necessary preparations. In addition to the selection of industrial areas suitable for Madura, there are four pillar industries (raw materials, human resources, technology, and capital) that need treatment in order to achieve the direction and purpose of building industry in Madura. Based on available resources Madura the agro-industry is the entrance and the main driver of industrialization Madura. Four districts should be able to integrate the strategic plan development and construction agropolitan integrated agribusiness system, then directed to build Madura industry based on: maritime, tourism and the creative economy. Cluster approach is not just a grouping of industries, but it also should include linking between the core industry with related industries, industry suppliers, supporting industries, and buyers, all of which are supported by the supporting institutions. Madura economy is expected to increase through the cluster approach in its potential industries. Four districts in Madura should focus on the prospective industries to improve product competitiveness. Increasing the competitiveness of industry in Madura can be carried out by(1) Improving the skills of human resources, (2) Improved production technology, (3) Development of product design and packaging design, (4) Promotion and improving market access.

Abstract

Copra drying process conventionally carried out by using sundrying and fogging. The weakness of these methodsis that copra is easily contaminated by dust, gravel and microbes, thus resulted in low quality product. Drying in a dryer results in better quality copra with white colour of flesh. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum drying temperature and time to result in white copra that meetsquality standards as indicated by water, oil and free fatty acid content. Experiment design was done by employing Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Central Composite Rotatable Design (CCRD) with 2 factor, 5 levels for each factor, and total of 13 treatments. The results showed that optimum time for dryingwas13 hours at temperature in 60-66°C. Copra resulted had water content of 2.66%, oil content of 61.5% and free fatty acid content of 0.63%. The copra produced showed brown colour which may be related to temperature and drying time used in the process

Abstract

PT Bimandiri Agro Sedaya is a non- manufacturing company ( services ) which operate in the field of trade as a supplier of fresh vegetables to retail. In December 2013, the fulfillment of the demand of red paprika, yellow paprika dan green paprika are 70,09 %; 70,24 %, 73,95 % respectively, so we need a method of accurately forecasting demand to estimate the demand of paprika early. The data is demand of red, yellow and green paprika commodities during September to December 2013. The results of pattern data analysis by least squares method and autocorrelation function shows that data have stationery pattern so used moving average method, single exponential smoothing and ARIMA. The result of MSE shows ARIMA metohd has the lowest MSE value for whole paprika. ARIMA method for red paprika, yellow paprika and green paprika are ARIMA (1,1,2) with MSE of 434,7;ARIMA (2,1,3) with MSE of 164,4 and ARIMA (1,0,1) with MSE of 321,9 respectively

Abstract

Amplang crackers processing industry is an industry with the use of raw materials mackerel. The industry experienced a decline in competitiveness characterized by a decrease in the amount of production and sales. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of competitive strategy undertaken by the company and to determine the competitive strategy that should be done by the company in an effort to increase sales turnover. Data analysis methods used in this study are IFAS matrix, the matrix EFAS, IE matrix, SWOT matrix. The results showed that there were internal factors to play role as the strength of the industry: (1) the production unit is close to the source of raw materials, (2) good raw material quality, (3) the quality attributes that can satisfy consumers, (4) relatively high venture capital, (5) the involvement of the family in a fairly large extent (0.239), (6) the products are on the market, (7) relatively simple technology used in production, (8) the volume of product sales constantly increased annually. However, there were internal factors that contributed to the weaknesses of this industry:(1) low level of workforce education, (2) seasonal supply of raw material, (3) limited facilities and infrastructure distribution of products, (4) not using diverse means of promotion, (5) production siteis away from the product market. The external factors positively influence the cracker industry were: (1) increasingly high customer loyalty, (2) large market segment, (3) high sale potential, (4) supportive business climate. External factors that were considered as threats were:(1) new competitors, (2) supply of raw materials is dependent of natural conditions. Based on the SWOT analysis of SO strategy, the most appropriate strategy was to increase the availability of products in the market. SO strategy is used as a basis to support aggressive growth policy

Abstract

Data Warehouse is one of the important factors in providing data for decision-making process. One of them, the data and information used in the analysis of transport accident risk. PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) as a mode of transportation companies train operator, of course there are a variety of administrative and operational constraints in providing services to passengers. These constraints can impact on the schedule is delayed until the worst effects are accidents. When the train accident occurred, an investigation carried out on units allegedly linked to the contribution of the accident. However, the current investigation has not been able to run effectively and efficiently. This is because, the data and information some still manually (not computerized) and has not been arranged in the form of a data warehouse. This study is an initial step in the development of a train accident analysis system integrated. The output of this initial stage designed a data warehouse that is capable of providing data periodically and incidental to the process of decision-making, especially in the analysis of the accident. The method used to design a data warehouse is the Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and use MS SQL Server 2008 R2 software.
