Abstract

To full fill the requirements of electric power to the customer economically, the company have to able to predict the requirements of electric power itself accurately. The study is aimed to see how multi linear regression works due to forecast con-sumption of electric power. There are five sectors of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta which has been research field, they are household, business, industrial, general and total sec-tors. The formulas are used and developed based on multi linear regression including the requirements itself. The main tool to support the analysis utilized Matlab (Matrix La-boratory) programming. The study succeeds to develop regression model for each sector.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of the change of cylinder head and the height of exhaust port to obtain great and safe power. Cylinder has many ports which are used in scavenging process (proses pemasukan, pembilasan dan proses pem-buangan) Exhaust port determines compression that is occurred in two stroke engine cycle and influences the engine characters. In standard condition, revolution 1500 produced 2 Nm torque. After modification, torque decreased to 1,5 (Nm). New torque increased in revolution 2000 rpm with 3,1 (Nm). Torque reached a peak from 10,8 (Nm) in revolution 8500 rpm to 13,6 (Nm) in revolution 10.000 rpm. Power produced in standard condition was 0,4 (Hp) in revolution 1500 rpm. After modification, it decreased to 0,3 (Hp). New power increased in revolution 3500 rpm. Power reached a peak from 12,9 (Hp) in revolution 8500 rpm to 19 (Hp) in revolution 10.000 rpm.

Abstract

The research will compare gasoline engine by using fuel ionizer device with stan-dard condition focusing on engine performance and exhausted emission. From the ana-lysis it can be proved that by using Fuel ionizer , the maximum torque obtained was in re-volution 6000 rpm with 9,7 Nm. There is an increase about 2,06 % from standard con-dition with 9,5 Nm. The power that was produced in high revolution 6000 rpm also increa-sed 2,05 % with the use of Fuel Ionizer. The minimum power increased 2,7% in revolution 1500 rpm .The use of Fuel Ionizer caused Bmep increased 7,67 %, SCF decreased 17,55 % and efficiency increased 16,32 %. For exhausted emission, the use of fuel ioni-zer caused CO decreased 1,8% - 13,10%. HC decreased 1,3% -19,7%, CO2 increased 8% - 13,7%, while O2 has various values; in revolution 2500 rpm – 3000 rpm there was an increase in CO content and in revolution 3500 rpm-6000 rpm, the content of O2 in standard condition was higher and Lambda value increased 0,13% - 2,62% after using Fuel Ionizer.

Abstract

Powder metallurgy is known as a method to produce aluminum metal matrix composites. The materials used in this research were Al alloy powder as the matrix and Al2O3 powder as the reinforcement. The Al alloy powder with irregular shape and particle size of 53 – 210 mm was produced by mechanical grinding method. Al2O3 powder with particle size 63 – 200 mm was supplied by Merck Germany. The various content of reinforcement were 0, 3, 6 and 9% weight of Al2O3. Each composition was compacted at pressures 500 MPa to produced green bodies. The green bodies were then sintered various temperatures were 450, 500, 550 and 600 oC for 2 hour in argon atmosphere. Density of specimens was measured using Archimedes method. Mechanical properties of the specimens used Vickers hardness. The results of the research show that relative density, increases with increasing temperature sintered. However relative density decreases with increasing of Al2O3 content. The optimum mechanical properties Vickers hardness were achieved on the composites containing 6% weight of Al2O3 with compacting pressure of 500 MPa and sintered temperature 550 oC. The investigation of micro structure showed amounts of porous was 9 to 20 percent, that relative density still low was 80 to 91 percent.

Abstract

The metal insulator semiconductor with metal contacts of of Ag, Al,Cu and insu-lator of toluene has been fabricated, characterized and investigated. The experimental results show that the current voltage (I-V) characteristic of MIS (Metal Isolator Semicon-ductor) diode is effected by type of metal contact. The cut in and breakdown voltages for the n-type silicon semiconductor are 1,1 -1.3 volt and 200 – 240 volt where for the p –type silicon semiconductor the cut in and breakdown voltages are 0,8 -1.0 volt and 120 – 180 volt. Also the experimental data show that I –V characteristics of MIS diode have bigger Cu in and breakdown voltages compare with those of junction and Schottky dio-des. From the investigation it can be summarized that metal contact with higher work function is suitable for p–type silicon semiconductor (Ag/T/Si-p/Al) where metal contact with higher work function is suitable for n-type silicon semiconductor (Ag/T/si-n/Al). The-se types of metal contacts provide higher cut in and breakdown voltages.

Abstract

This research is to know the effectivities of household processing biological with active mud pushed by acclimated artificial sewage, it is done by observing parameter DO (Disolved Oxygen), BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), SS (Suspended Solid) and plankton as proponent data and then it is compared with quality standard included on SK Gubernur DIY No.281/KPTS/1998 about liquid waste. Household which is used for researching is from installation unit of waste water Sewon-Bantul. Waste is treatment with active mud pushed by acclimated artificial sewage concentration 0 % (control), 15 %, 30 %, 45 % with time of observation 0 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 24 hours. To know concentration of active mud to improve waste quality, it is used SPSS that is anava and Tukey test. The result of this research has shown that processing of household with active mud pushed by acclimated artificial sewage concentration 30 % is the most optimal and it can be improved: DO (63,64 %), BOD (74,06 %), COD (71,96 %), SS (65,57 %), where as the number of identified plankton is 24. The result of waste processing has been also suitable with quality standard of liquid waste included on SK Gubernur DIY No.281/KPTS/1998

Abstract

Data security’s problem is the important thing in organization or personal area. Moreever, if the data in network and connecting through public network, such as internet. The data have to protected by unregistered user, to protect from either data damaged or lossed. The aim of this research is how to secure the data, and security of sending mes-sage from the unregistered user. Criptography using Vigenere Chipher algorithm were adapted Cipher Block Cha-ining (CBC) mode operation is the one of security methods. These application though da-ta encription and decription using Borland Delphi 6.0 and the file extention of result is .enc. Combining Vigenere Cipher and CBC mode operation will produce new methode named Vigenere Cipher+ that repair the disadvanrages of Vigenere Cipher.

Abstract

Solar collector cylindrical troughs with multi pipe absorbers were observed to find the best collector performance. The research put on two types collector arrangements, that are series and parallel arrangement. There are three type configurations of absorber pipes consisting of 3, 4 , and 6 pipes. The objective of this research is to find a simple construction of solar collector that produce high temperature working fluid. Three collectors were observed simultaneously. Each collector installed a type configuration and a type arrangement. Water flow rates in this experimental were 50, 125, 175, and 300 cc/minute. Observation on three collectors was done on the same ti-me, condition, and flow. Data of observation result used to calculate actual and ideal co-llector efficiency. The results are presented in table and graphic to be analyzed. Results of calculation indicate the collector efficiency on each absorber pipe ar-rangement and configuration. The higher collector efficiency on series arrangement, is 0.763, that was resulted from collector with 3 pipe configuration in 175 cc/minute debit of flow. The higher collector efficiency on parallel arrangement, is 0.491, also resulted from the collector with 3 pipe configuration in 175 cc/minute debit of flow too. The final con-clusion, collector 3 pipe configuration in series arrangement with 175 cc/minute debit of flow is the best collector cylindrical trough in this research.

Abstract

Security is a very important aspect of data exchange. Usually, the data in video surveillance is transmitted only for certain parties. The data must accepted to entitled user with maintained confidentiality, and avoid from packet sniffing by others. Therefore, to secure the data in video surveillance, it needs a data encryption method to hide information.SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is reliable for securing a real-time data or video transmission. SSL can be implemented on a webserver that has public hosting. In this study, Zoneminder video surveillance system implemented on the web server, then SSL will encrypt the transmitted data between the Zoneminder server and the client.The results shows that surveillance videos protected by SSL, safe from packet sniffing actions and no degradation on QoS and video quality.

Abstract

Generally study of power-flow used the system presentation with the well-balan-ced load. Presentation like this enabled to solve power-flow used single phase presen-tation. Well-balanced load distribution system is very rare. Condition of unbalance load on distribution system needed the special power flow program which can solve three phase power system.This research made and tested three phase power-flow program with adaptive compensation-based method using the application program MATLAB 6.5.1. This method emphasized to solve power-flow of radial system with balance or unbalance load and dis-persed generation. Result of research showed for the validation of program using standard data 15 bus that is getting of converged to the specified tolerance value (1x10-8) for the various lo-ading condition. Unbalance load caused the power mismatch at same iteration tend to in-crease in linear. Addition load factor at one of phase (phase A) caused power mismatch at same iteration tend to increase by exponential. Dispersed generation gives decrease voltage drop in most of all buses and decrease power loss until 73,64 %. Unbalance load on Airlangga feeder caused increase system loss until 38,09%. The biggest contributions of loss cause by longest branch feeder on bus 4 to 6 equal to 39,68 %. Biggest voltages drop at the end of feeder with average degradation until 0Ð0,0130 pu for balance and un-balance load.
