Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of effective student learning in high school sociology classX. This study aimed to describe the cause of the lack of effectiveness of students in sociology aswell as describing the efforts of teachers in dealing with students who are less effective in teachingsociology.The theory used in this research by Skinner Behaviorism. The approach used in this study is aqualitative research method with descriptive type to give a detailed description of the reality understudy. Informants in this study amounted to as much as 7 students were less effective in teachingsociology. Data was collected through observation and in-depth interviews and documentation.The unit is an individual data analysis, and data analysis were used to stage data collection, datareduction, data presentation (data analysis), and the verification and conclusion.Based on the results of research conducted in PGRI SMA 1 Padang cause of the lack of effectivestudent learning in sociology, namely 1) the class conditions less conducive to learning, 2) parentsare less controlling and motivating students to learn, 3) teaching a less attractive environment, 4)facilities that use inadequate and unattractive, 5) the teacher was not to establish interaction andcommunication with students. Efforts of teachers to address students who are less effective inteaching sociology, namely 1) the approach and motivate Siwa, 2) Learn to use various media andmethods.

Abstract

Poverty is a multidimensional problem that is characterized by low average quality of life of the population, education, health, child nutrition, and sources of drinking water. Various attempts have been made by the Indonesian government to alleviate poverty such as the Jaring Pengaman Sosial (JPS), Subsidi Langsung Tunai (SLT), Beras Miskin (Raskin), Asuransi Kesehatan untuk Masyarakat Miskin (Askeskin), Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS), Program Nasional Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Mandiri (PNPM), as well as the program was last launched the Family Hope Program (PKH). Efforts to tackle poverty is still considered not running as expected. So that the formulation of the problem in this research is: How can the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in poverty reduction efforts in Nagari Lagan Hilir Punggasan. The objectives of this study is to describe the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) for poor households.The theory used in this study is the culture of poverty theory propounded by Oscar Lewis. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive type. Determination of informants conducted by purposive sampling. Number inporman in this study of 17 people. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and document study. Then the unit of analysis is a group. Data analysis method used is descriptive analysis of the data was analyzed according to the model of interactive analysis of Milles and Heberman.From the research it can be concluded that the Family Hope Program in Nagari Lagan Hilir Punggasan been effective when seen from the program objectives, the goal of the program is increase the level of education of children households and increase access to education and health for children households. On the other hand targeting CCT beneficiaries for households in Nagari Lagan Hilir Punggasan can not be said to be effective. This is due to the targeting of CCT in Nagari Lagan Hilir Punggasan still not on target, because the field is still found in people who are categorized into the middle to upper economic assistance, targeting not only look at the economic conditions that are not capable, but given the relationship between cadres record with the local community.

Abstract

Eriyus Zikra (09070294) The Reasons Visitors Visited Carocok Beach In Nagari Painan, Sub-District IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency. Thesis, Sociology of Education Program STKIP PGRI West Sumatra, Padang. 2014.Tourist Sites is the most preferred place for holiday. From the whole tourist sites in Pesisir Selatan, Corocok Beach is the most visited attractions by foreign and local tourists. This thesis purposed to describe the reasons why the visitors visited Carocok Beach in Nagari Painan, sub-district IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency. A research method in this research used descriptive qualitative research method. The study site is Nagari Painan, sub-district IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The informants of this research about 15 persons whose visited Carocok Beach according to observation technical studies, interviews and study document. Data accuration analyzed by interactive method consist to data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The using theory is fenomenology theory of Alfred Schutz. The result fo research indicated that: (1) the reasons to visiting Carocok Beach is (a) about a beauty charm of Carocok Beach included marine tourism, nature tourism and historical tourism (b) a facility to the Carocok Beach, tourists facilities, Mushalla, parking area and restaurant (c) a hygiene of Carocok Beach either beach and sea (d) security of Carocok Beach secured by Affiliation Agency and Pamong Praja Police Squad (Satpol PP). Thepurposed of visitor to visited is (a) about eliminated stress of life problems (b) enjoying a beauty of Carocok Beach.

Abstract

In SMP Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti IPS student learning discipline in class VIII in schools indicate a problem. Formulation of the problem in the study of how the discipline of social studies in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Baganti Linggo Sari district. The South Coast. The purpose of this study was to describe the discipline of student learning in social studies and at home in Junior High School eighth grade 1 Linggo Sari Baganti. This study used qualitative methods and descriptive analytic. Informant selection techniques conducted by purposive sampling. Methods of data collection in this study using interviews, observation and documentation. Then that becomes the unit of analysis is the individual. The data has been collected systematically analyzed. The theory used in this study is the theory advanced by Watsons behaviorism.The results of the study confirms that in school, especially in social studies class VIII can be drawn that the discipline learned most students lack discipline. Thus, students of SMP Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti student learning discipline in schools is still low. Thus, students discipline student learning at home is still low. Thus it can be concluded that the low discipline student learning in social studies in grade school. Students should be learning in school discipline in the class of SMP Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti.

Abstract

The number of traders who are in the stone ring Pasar Raya Padang precisely along Jalan Nusantara Building Gang in 2012 amounted to as many as 50 traders stone ring. Traders who trade stone ring along Jalan Nusantara Building Gang must maintain its business with the competition along with other traders. The competition among the merchants of accessories which are goods produced by factories that sell items such as rings, necklaces, bracelets and other accessories. Competition with fellow traders stone ring also occur where there is a stone ring merchants are also selling counterfeit goods or print a stone that is not a natural rock but the rock is made of glass and the like are also good. The purpose of this study is to describe how the coping strategies of traders stone ring Pasar Raya Padang. The theory that I use in this study is the theory of social action with the type of instrumental rational action. An action can only be said of social action where such action is done by considering the behavior of others and oriented to the behavior of others. This study used qualitative methods, while this type of research is descriptive. The informants were taken by purposive sampling with six people informant. Technique data collection by observation, direct interviews and documentation. Models and Data Analysis using Milles and Huberman. The results of this study are survival strategies merchant stone ring 1). Lobbying, visitors or prospective buyers who come to the stall or where he traded, 2). prices offered to consumers is relatively low, 3). Models and new types of goods, and 4). The use of machine tools. Four strategies were used by the merchant stone ring in Pasar Raya Padang in maintaining its business, the four strategies proven effective with the presence of a ring of stone merchant, which is still located along Jalan Gang Nuantara Building is still able to survive.

Abstract

The research is the background by the government policy on the development ofcuuriculum, that replacement KTSP curriculum to the Curriculum 2013 which established in2013 ago. The curriculum KTSP in the learning process, activities consist of the exploration,elaboration, and confirmation. While the curriculum 2013, the activities of learning processknown as the scientific approach consist of learning of observing, question, reason, andcommunicate. To reach the process there are stage of affective, cognitive, and skill. The studito described the activities of the teacher in conducting a scientific approach to teaching insociology learning in first class social science senior hight school 4 Padang city.The teory used is a social fact by Emile Durkheim. The study used a qualitativeapproach the type of evaluative research. Informant in the study are representative ofcurriculum, sociology teacher and student in first class social science senior hight school 4Padang City. Informants selection in this study purposive sampling. The type of data used isprimary data and secondary data. Method of data collection is 1) observation, 2) interviewsin-depth, 3) documentation study. Data analysis was performed with a model of interaktifanalysis (Miles and Huberman) include four stage 1) data collection 2) data reduction, 3)presentation of data, 4) conclution.The result of the study based data obtained concluded, 1) one of the teacher in firstclass social science studies sociology Senior Hight School 4 Padang city, does not understandthe scientific approach. That is in the process of affective. 2) the teacher of the first classsocial science sociology studies in Senior Higth School 4 Padang city, a learning resourchusing still that is textbook, teacher prefer to wait from the school to get learning learningresourch related. 3) the teacher of first class social science sociology studies in the hightschool 4 Padang city, inaffective and inconsistent providing opportunities to student inconducting scientific approach in the learning process.

Abstract

Conflict between Minangkabu and Jawa ethnic in Nagari Silaut Kecamatan Silaut Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The purpose of this research is to describe the main conflict that happened between Minangkabu and Jawa ethnic in Nagari Silaut Kecamatan Silaut Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan and to describe the forms of conflict that appear between Minangkabau and Jawa ethnic in Nagari Silaut Kecamatan Silaut Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The theory that used in this research is conflict theory by Lewis A Coser. The result of this research shows that the main conflict between Minangkabau and Jawa ethnic in Nagari Silaut Kecamatan Silaut Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan are first, economic discrepancy, second struggle of Sambungo beach right management. The form of Minangkabau and Jawa ethnic conflicts are first, hause key taking. Second, disturbance. Third, streetblokade.

Abstract

The research about implementation as well as the barriers that find by teachers in implementing curriculum 2013. The purpose of this research is to describe how the implementation and the barriers that find by teachers in implementing curriculum 2013 on the learning process. This research utilize qualitative’s approach with type of descriptive. Techniques of data collection with three ways: namely interviews, observation, and documentation while analysis of data through four steps : data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. The result of this research can be concluded that the implementation of curriculum 2013 in SMAN 1 Mandau began in July 2013 to 2014 school year, in implementing curriculum 2013, teacher sued to preparation as well as attending various training, beside that teacher also preparation lesson plans, semester program until yearly program. The barriers that find by teachers in implementing curriculum 2013 consist of: (1) The barriers in preparing lesson plans (2) barriers to use learning strategies (3) barriers to use learning methods (4) barriers to using learning media.

Abstract

This research was motivated presence of poor fishermen house holds in Jorong Pasie because the majority of household head sworking as a fisherman. Income fisherman always erratic and sometimes even a loss making life increasingly difficult for fishermen affected by natural factors. Fishermen whose position as a small fishing classified into different poor fishermen with large fishing in come. Lifeis very poor fishing house holds far from prosperous due to irregular income, making fishermen must do every thing possible to keep it met the needs of clothing, food, housing and childrens education costsare also to be metso tha tthe fishing more difficult.The purposeof this studyis to describe the strategy of the house hold economy of poor fishermen in South survive Jorong Pasie Kenagarian Tiku Selatan. This study uses the theory proposed by James Coleman on rational choice about the actor who is seen as aman of purpose and action focused on efforts to achieve these objectives, the actors them selveshave a choice or value and satisfaction. The research is a qualitative descriptive approach, a technique usedin data collecti on are observation, interview. Selection techniques informant swas purposive sampling(aims) in which the informant set deliberately by the researcher, based on the needs and the adequacy of the amount of research data, the accuracy of the data to be analyzed using techniques Milles and Huberman. The results of this study in dicate that the economic strategy undertaken poor fishing house holds in Jorong Pasie to meet the needs of clothing, food, housing and childrens educationare: doinga side jobin the form of 1) open a coffee shop 2) selfish 3) screaming chicken 4) do the loan. Forms involvement family members ineconomic activity 1) involving wife works for a living and 2) engage the child in making a living.

To the effect of observational it identifies and description is factors that cause of woman does to part sue at Parupuk Tabings sub-district, Koto Tanggahs district, West Sumatra moorland. This research utilize kualitatifs approaching with descriptive type. Data collecting tech is done with interview and studi documents. Analisis is data utilizes model Milles and Huberman. Result of this research that factor that cause of woman does to part sue at Parupuk Tabings sub-district Koto Tangahs district Suamteras Moorland West: 1. husband goes to stay out / family, 2. inharmonious that reverential marks sense violence in family (KDRT), 3. economic problem.
