Abstract

It is important for the business to understand their internal factors. By doing so, they can make use of then for increasing their return and minimizing the risk. This study aims to explore the effect of internal factors on risk perception and expected return perception. Internal factors in this study consist of overconfidence, emotion, mental accounting and experience. Samples were drawn from investors in Surabaya who invested their fund in land and property, gold, mutual fund, and deposit. To test hypotheses, this study employs classical assumption test and multiple regression analysis Based on the analysis, it found that internal factors have a significant effect on risk perception simultaneously but have no significant effect on expected return perception. Besides that, it was found that mental accounting is the only internal factor which significantly influenced the risk perception but partially while experience significantly influenced the expected return perception also partially. Finally, investor perception of risk and expected return indicated a positive correlation.

Abstract

Indonesia is a grand producer of tobacco, and including the province of East Java, Pamekasan Regency, Madura. Pamekasan Regency produces the most tobacco compared to Sumenep Regency and Sampang Regency. Tobacco attracts the interest of the Indonesian cigarette companies. PT. Djarum purchases tobacco to be used as a material to produce cigarettes. The purchase of tobacco is based on the prices and the quality. This company purchases a huge amount of tobacco, which is nine thousand tons. The aim of this research is to analyze the signification effect of the price and the quality towards PT Djarum’s purchasing decision of tobacco among collectors in Madura. The respondents of this research are the collectors (Pengepul/Bandul) of PT Djarum. The questionnaires are given to seventy respondents and is analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS)-Structure Equation Model (SEM). The results of this research show that the price has a significant positive effect towards the tobacco purchasing decision of PT. Djarum. The quality not significant negative effect towards the tobacco purchasing decisions of PT. Djarum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether increased sales and increased production that occurs at the Honda motor company were due to customers satisfaction, loyalty, and word of mouth. The method of analysis was done by means of multiple linear regression analysis andpath analysis. The data were collected through a survey questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed to Honda customers who were inadvertently encountered. They were the customers of Honda motorcycles with more than one year. The measurement was done by Likert with a scale of one to five. It shows there is a significant influence of customer satisfaction towards customer loyalty, and also found a significant influence of customer loyalty towards word of mouth, as well as a significant influence of customer satisfaction toward word of mouth, and found also the influence indirect customer satisfaction on word of mouth throughcustomer loyalty. It is important to strengthen the company's relationships with customers. In this case customer satisfaction is also an important aspect. Satisfaction and loyalty can be a key objective in improving and maintaining word of mouth, while customer word of mouth will come up when customer satisfaction and customer loyalty have been created.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of managerial and public ownership structures on profitability at the Foreign Exchange National Private Commercial Banks (BUSN), determine the effect of managerial and public ownership structures on firm value at Foreign Exchange National Private Commercial Banks (BUSN), and determine the effect of profitability on firm value in Foreign Exchange National Private Commercial Banks (BUSN). This research method uses descriptive quantitative as a type of research. The population is 35 banking companies, while the sample is 17 banking companies whose financial statements are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The date were collected through secondary data in the form of documents, namely financial reports for 2016 - 2018. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there was no influence of managerial share ownership structure on profitability and firm value. Furthermore, there is a significant effect of public share ownership structure on profitability while firm value has no significant effect. The implication is that managerial roles and participation are needed in this case the share ownership structure in order to increase the profitability and value of banking companies such as other companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education will be integrated into the education system has the potential to support economic growth. Sector of entrepreneur should start to grow, not only for the general public, but also among the students. On the other side, there were many differences in the Personal Entrepreneurial Competency (PEC) among students between state univer-sities and private universities. Target of research was description potency and intention of student in private university and state university. The purpose of study were: (1) Identify PEC and entrepreneurial intentions of students on state and private universities in Jember; (2) Identify the factors driving and inhibiting the development of an entrepreneurial cul-ture in state and private universities in Jember. The research method using the PEC and Intention Entrepreneurship. Results: Internal Push Factors identified in the role of Univer-sities. Internal Inhibiting Factors identified as the weak role of the Universities, while inhi-biting factors external, public perception that the entrepreneurial future is uncertain. From the results of the mapping of potential entrepreneurial ability, most of the students in the state and private universities in Jember on various items in the position enough ratings or moderate. Entrepreneurship intention is influenced by Openness to experience, Self Effica-cy, Subjective Norm, Traits, where each variable is different effects in Universities.

Abstract

Employee performance is an important work attitude for achieving or-ganizational goals. In this case, motivation and workload variable can increase performance of employee. This paper aims to determine the effect of workload on employee performance directly. In addition, this study aims to investigate the effect of workload on employee performance indirectly through motivation variable. This research relies on path analysis. The research sample consists of 74 people. The results show that workload has increased directly employee performance. In addition, the workload has affected employee performance through motivation variable as well. The impact of workload variable to employee performance has greater influence indirectly through motivation variable. Giving the employees tasks according to their ability have increased effectively employee motivation.

Abstract

The global economy increase the competition in the banking secotrs. For that reason, it is important to see the factors that can increase the users of the customer of internet banking. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of perceptions of usability, perceivedease, and security problems on the decision to use internet banking for customers of BRI Bank Surabaya. The sample of this research consists of Bank BRI customers. They were taken by using a judgment sampling method which is based on certain criteria. The data were collected from 74 respondents. The analytical method used in this study is multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that perception of usability and perceived ease and security issues have a signifi cant and positive effect on customer decisions in using Bank BRI internet banking in Surabaya.

Abstract

Some factors are deemed to be important for research in relation to customer loyalty. These factors are service quality, emotional satisfaction, relationship quality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of service quality, emotional satisfaction, relationship quality on customer loyalty Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in Surabaya. The sample taken consists of KFC Jalan Ahmad Yani Surabaya customers. Analysis tool used is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that there is a significant and positive effect of service quality of emotional satisfaction, emotional satisfaction a positive significant effect on customer loyalty. Beside, emotional satisfaction has positive and significant effect on the quality of relationships.

Abstract

This study examines and analyze the significant effect of brand equity consist; brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality and brand loyality on purchased decision. Based on the literature review, this research hypothesis states that the four elements of brand equity affect purchasing decisions. This research uses survey data from Coffee Toffee visitors in Surabaya. Data were collected by questionnaire from respondent. Hypothesis testing technique is done by using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that brand awareness has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, brand association has no significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, the perceived quality has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, and brand loyalty have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The companys value is related to the stock price, showing the value that investors are willing to pay. To increase the stock price, the company should make good financial decisions and ownership structure. In addition, external factors also need to be consi-dered, one of which is the interest rate. This study aimed to examine the effect of finan-cial decisions, ownership structure, and the interest rate on the value of go public property and real estate companies. The sample consists of 45 property and real esate companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2009-2013 periods. It uses purposive sampling method in determining the sample and multiple linear regression analysis for analyzing the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results indicate that investment decisions are measured by Total Assets Growth insignificant positive effect on the companys value. Financing decision is measured by Debt to Eq-uity Ratio, dividend policy is measured by the Dividend Payout Ratio, and institu-tional ownership has significant positive effect on the companys value, while mana-gerial ownership and interest rate have insignificant and negative effect on the compa-nys value.
